    Great cover

    I love it I have a black one and this one the navy blue one. They are both great the black one hides better but the navy one is better looking. If you are looking for better looking its the blue one if you want to hide more and don't care about looks than its the black one. Both ways there both great covers love them both!

    Such a disappointment for $70

    When I first removed the cover from the packaging the first thing I noticed was my thumbprint on it, then my handprint. It absorbed the oils from my hand immediately and looked 3 yrs old. It DOES NOT work properly for the iPad 3. When I hold the cover I constantly hear the clicking on and off, think the magnets are in the wrong place. The case also leaves long smudges on the screen from the creases; another annoying factor. Thing is I would have no problem If this case case was $20 but $70 is outrageous for such an inferior product.

    Why would an iPad cover only cover the front? The price should definitely be cut in half since it's only half a cover. I wonder if I could return it back...

    i recently brought this case with my ipad 3 it is a brilliant cover its light thin and the stands work perfectly and are at the perfect angles, i use it for school and home and love it, i wouldn't have one complaint. but if you want it to protect the back also then you can get cases for the back that work with the smart cover at very cheap prices, but i have not needed one thus far.

    Overpriced Flap of Leather

    $69 for a flap of leather with two magnets to attach it to the iPad. Does not protect the back of your iPad, so prepare for it to be scratched up. This flap of leather does fold nicely, does attach extremely easily and accurately, but that's it. Not very "Smart" at all.

    Sharp looking cover.

    First, this is not a full case for your device. It is only a cover. But the function. fit, and look are awesome. The combination of blue-on-white is stunning. I've only had my iPad a few days and already have received several positive comments. The function is as advertised: simple to use and effective. I use the folded cover to prop my iPad up at a better reading angle while giving presentations. Of course I am always careful with my possessions and expect this cover to last me a long time. It certainly brings plenty of quality to the table. I cringed a bit at the price, but am pleased with this purchase.

    Not very good for protection

    I knew this case would not cover the back. I was prepared to accept the back of the iPad getting scratched. However, this does not stay on the front either. The least little bump and the very weak magnet lets go and the cover and iPad are apart. If you do buy this, skip the leather as well. For the look and feel, it is the same as plastic. To me, this case is a BIG disappointment.

    I have yet to figure out how to keep this dumb cover ON the iPad and then it only covers ONE side??? $$$ 59.00 for this? SHAME on you Apple! I have my new iPad in my old iPad cover. It is a bit too large for it but at least it is protected.

    Dont pick up your iPad by its cover

    The magnets are not strong enough to hold the iPad if you pick it up by the cover. You will eventually do this and have to replace the glass in your iPad or dent the side of it right where the volume control is. My iPad is two month old and I have now dropped it three times because the cover came off. The first time disabled the volume control and the third time broke the glass.

    As long as you don't do this. Its a very clever design.

    An Expensive waste of money

    I ordered this cover for my new iPad, and it arrived last night. Within a few minutes it picked up an ugly stain while it was on a clean table. I cannot remove this stain, and it makes the cover an ugly piece of junk. Please don't believe the reviewers who say that this creates an attractive "Patina". I appreciate good leather, and understand the concept of a Patina. This is simply an ugly stain. Too expensive, and a tremendous disapointment. If you buy this in any color you will wish you had heeded this warning.

    ~ Soft ~ Rich ~ Love the smell ~

    Just received my Navy Leather cover for my new iPad due to arrive next week. I can’t wait to try it out. I took the cover out of the package right away. It is so BEAUTIFUL! I can tell you that blue is not my favorite color but this blue is stunning. It is a really rich deep color. I love the way the stain was put on the leather. It has variations as all leather should. Wonderfully soft!
    For those people who give bad reviews because the leather wears and loses some color, please read the back of the packaging of the cover. It does say that the leather will lighten and wear like all leather does. It is to be expected and I look forward to it. For me, this is what I want and love in a cover.

    This Cover is beautiful

    Ok so first off, people need to understand the usability of this product.
    If you are a clumsy person and or a person that just can't seem to take care of his things, then this is not the right cover to use. Ived had my IPad 2 for nearly six months now and have not dropped or scratched anything on it. Sometime I treat it better than one of my own kids.
    This smart cover is gorges and it feels really nice to the touch it does exactly what it says nothing more nothing less. I have the Polyurethane - Light Gray one aswell and they are totally different in feel. I do love ussing both off and on. I have not had the color leak on anything yet though I dought I will see that since my iPad is black, but if it does I guess I will live with that as this is ideally what ends up happening wen you tan hide that dark. Over all I am very happy an excited to own and use this wonderful product.

    Great cover - but Stains Easily!

    Just got this cover and love the look / feel - except it stained within 1 DAY with very light use. Wish it was a little more stain-resistent or that care instructions came with it. The beautiful design is less pretty with blotchy stains on it. Wish I'd read the google reviews for this product before buying, as most of them said staining is a problem with this cover. I'd be much happier if there was some way to get rid of or treat the stains

    Awesome Cover

    I bought the navy leather cover and I love my choice! It has always been both attractive and highly functional. IWhile it may seem expensive, the price is reasonable considering the value of the item it protects and is money well spent.

    Navy Blue Cover

    I’ve had the leather cover 8 months now and still love it! I purchased the white iPad which gives it a nautical look and feel. It’s ultra sharp in the typing position while the outside feels like a well worn baseball glove. The iPad is a computer and should be treated like one. Many others bellyache it does not cover the backside of the devise. When the iPad is entirely covered it reminds me of the plastic on my grandmothers couch. Why cover up something so elegant?

    This product is great but very high in price. The leather gets scratches easily so I suggest a getting a cloth to on. Also it doesn't cover the back or sides so get a back cover. Hope this helped!!

    Leather is Better

    I have a white IPad 2. Just love how the navy blue adds just the right amount of color. I thought there would be a period of breaking in the leather. It has worked great from day one. Plus, blue is a favorite color of mine. I would recommend :)

    Offers no protection for the sides, corners, and back. This is definitely a "minimalist" cover.
