    My Karma Blue

This navy color is an elegant and slick looking cover. It definitely complements the iPad with a feeling of sturdiness. As a man in good taste would mention, It is definitely the best color to justify the glossy white finish on the iPad. The navy blue leather makes the white iPad properly masculine yet still being unisex. It also seconds as a grip when triangulated backward. After months of use, the leather is just starting to look nicely broken in and personal. This product is durable and one can tell it was made to last the life cycle of the iPad. Also, not to mention how good It looks in my Laguna Blue Fisker Karma. Wait, that last part was just a figment of my own reality, but the rest was all a real review.

Extremely disappointed as the cover has started to peel apart at the edge. I took it back to the Apple store and was told that it was cosmetic and that it was not considered a defect. Buyer beware. The product will fall apart with light usage and Apple does not stand behind their product.

    3 Smudge Lines

I really like this cover, but seriously, who was the genius that decided to put those three ridges on the inside of the cover also?

The nice microfiber cleans almost all of your smudges off the screen just by closing it, except for these three vertical smudge lines lol

    Decent case, pretty satisfied

i bought this case since ipad 2 came out, and still using this case on my current i3. I would say this smart case is pretty good, some reviews said that the magnetic doesn't hold on to iPad as firm as it used to, however magnetic will always weaken as time goes, this is undeniable, but the smart case still works perfectly. Some scarfs are on the case and oils, i kinda like it bc it shows how the case has been protecting your pad, and i don't think that's even close from being a problem.

After one year, still going strong on New iPad

I got this with my iPad 2. I thought it was over-priced, but it was the cool new thing so I tried it. I have to say I'm glad I did and that I think it's actually worth the money now. Despite what some reviews say, I've never had a problem with the magnets at all. The cover folds up great and the shut-off feature seems unimportant but is actually a feature you grow to love. I've seen reviews that say the cover doesn't work well with the New iPad--well, all I know is it works well for me (and better, since I paid 69 bucks!) A friend of mine actually had another brand of cover that looked like the Apple one but ws some other brand--now THAT sucked. It wouldn't fold well and you had to tuck it in rather than the quick roll-fold with this cover. Anyway, in my opinion, after one year and 2 months, my cover is going strong and I love it. And fyi, I use it constantly--I teach high school so I take the iPad to class each day and at home it is easily my most-used computer. So I've given above-normal usage, I think. i highly recommend.

    Love the Cover

I have owned the Smart Cover for only a month, but have grown to love the product. If I am viewing something in portrait, I will fold up the cover and use it as a handle. In landscape, I jump between the two different presentation angles. If I plan on typing it will be at the lower angle. The on/off works all the time, which is a very nice feature. I expect that the leather will age, but that is normal for leather and if I wanted it to look the same (all the time) I could have bought the plastic cover. I haven't had any issues with how it attaches or detaches and I like that feature also.

This is a great looking case. I purchased the navy leather and I love the look and feel. Unfortunately spending 70 dollars and it has already gotten stained from the oils in my fingers and looks dingy. Sorry, but I will spend my 70 on a case more worth the money to me. Love the idea and style of it, just wish it was more.

    Leather is Better

I have a white IPad 2. Just love how the navy blue adds just the right amount of color. I thought there would be a period of breaking in the leather. It has worked great from day one. Plus, blue is a favorite color of mine. I would recommend :)

Great cover - but Stains Easily!

Just got this cover and love the look / feel - except it stained within 1 DAY with very light use. Wish it was a little more stain-resistent or that care instructions came with it. The beautiful design is less pretty with blotchy stains on it. Wish I'd read the google reviews for this product before buying, as most of them said staining is a problem with this cover. I'd be much happier if there was some way to get rid of or treat the stains

    This Cover is beautiful

Ok so first off, people need to understand the usability of this product.
If you are a clumsy person and or a person that just can't seem to take care of his things, then this is not the right cover to use. Ived had my IPad 2 for nearly six months now and have not dropped or scratched anything on it. Sometime I treat it better than one of my own kids.
This smart cover is gorges and it feels really nice to the touch it does exactly what it says nothing more nothing less. I have the Polyurethane - Light Gray one aswell and they are totally different in feel. I do love ussing both off and on. I have not had the color leak on anything yet though I dought I will see that since my iPad is black, but if it does I guess I will live with that as this is ideally what ends up happening wen you tan hide that dark. Over all I am very happy an excited to own and use this wonderful product.

    Sleek Design!

Sure, you can get better protection from a case but why? One of the beauties of the iPad is how sleek it is. This cover protects the screen and functions as a stand very well with the exception of it slipping off occasionally. If it does you just place the cover anywhere close and it attaches itself in an instant. I hardly know it's in my briefcase. I like the leather!

    Not very good

The leather looks good when you first get it, but the colour eventually rubs off a bit and it absorbs oil from your skin making the cover look dirty and gross. The magnets don't do a very good job of securing the Smart Cover to the iPad and the cover can pop off easily. I'm fairly disappointed as Apple usually makes great products.

I bought the tan leather cover and absolutely love how it ages. My coworker has one that is very aged (with a cup ring over it!) and it looked gorgeous. Can't wait for mine to do that.

HOWEVER—protection wise, its minimum to none. The glass itself is already very hard to scratch so to put a cover over it is not so beneficial for the price. However, its handy for holding or laying on a table.

I dropped my third generation iPad and that cover provided no protection whatsoever. I probably should've bought a back cover :/

Navy Blue is a Rich Luxury

I asked for this cover for my birthday, and was thrilled to get it. I have the iPad 2, and originally had the light gray polyurethane smart cover. It worked great, but stained and got marked up easily. I also wound up getting a clear silicone back (Luvvitt) to protect the back. But now with the navy blue leather smart cover, the iPad is nicely protected, and looks super classy. The cover attaches very simply with magnetic fasteners, and I can hold the iPad by the cover, and it does not fall away. It turns the iPad on and off every time (like opening and closing the fridge door). It folds to hold the iPad in a comfortable viewing and typing mode. Highly recommend this cover!!

I bought the navy leather cover and I love my choice! It has always been both attractive and highly functional. IWhile it may seem expensive, the price is reasonable considering the value of the item it protects and is money well spent.

    Navy Blue Cover

I’ve had the leather cover 8 months now and still love it! I purchased the white iPad which gives it a nautical look and feel. It’s ultra sharp in the typing position while the outside feels like a well worn baseball glove. The iPad is a computer and should be treated like one. Many others bellyache it does not cover the backside of the devise. When the iPad is entirely covered it reminds me of the plastic on my grandmothers couch. Why cover up something so elegant?

    Leather iPad screen cover

Ive read some of the reviews and come up with these thoughts.
If your going to take your iPad out of your home, I would suggest getting a full cover. If your going to use it at home or office only, the leather cover is nice and works well. I have the iPad 3 and it attaches fine and does what it's supposed to.
As for the price, yes it's steep but after paying over $800.00 for the iPad itself, $70 is cheap.

    Nice and intelligent but........

Let me start with the good: the magnetic hinge is brilliant. The folding and using as a angled support, with a magnetic contact is again brilliant. The leather is acceptable quality I think it could use a richer look.
The bad: This cover does not have protection for back side. Worst of all it needs the ability to allow your hand can slide in back and be able to hold the slippery little iPad. Therefore, I will need to buy another case if I plan to use to carry anywhere outside my house. :(
