    Works great!

    I'm not sure why others are having so many problems. I hooked by 3rd generation Ipad to my LG tv using the HDMI cable and it worked perfectly. The screen on my ipad transferred to the entire big screen on the tv when I watched a movie. You can pull up anything. I say it's a great product. Easy to set up. Just another great apple product.

    Before dogging the product, make sure it's not something else if you have a problem.

    First impression

    I just received this and attached my ipad3(with ios6) to my tv. It worked great! And when I started Netflix, it went to full screen and looked and sounded great. Worth the money.

    Does the job well

    The AV adaptor connects to the tv via the HDMI cable. Works well with my Ipad2 - I can watch movies I have rented from ITunes. Sound and picture quality is great. Perfectly mirrors all my apps. Unfortunately Lovefilm is not supported. But no other problems so far.

    I have an iPad2 and just bought a iPad3 and this thing works perfect. It does seem like it could get touchy in the future because its not supported well. I will try to be easy on it and hope it holds up. Two thumbs up so far!!!

    99% Good product if u use it properly.

    When i first try to use this adapter it didnt worked,I was really dissappointed and thoughts about the reviews some people gave that this dont work,but then I try to find the problem.All I did is to up date my Ipad with latest IO6. woooow it worked perfectly fine.The only reason I didnt gave this product 100% because the adapter is not 100% stay connected like if u try to move ur Ipad it will become lose and u lose video my be it is due to design of adapter Apple has to work on it and make the adapter cable long enough like charger cable so it can stay connected with thick hd cable.

    Works for everything I tried with iPad 3

    A lot of reviews are saying it doesn't work for certain apps. So far I've tried it with a 1080p iTunes movie download (Hunger Games), Spotify, and the Watch ESPN app. Everything has worked flawlessly so far with my 2006 Samsung DLP HDTV. No issues whatsoever. I did set it to stretch mode for my TV. Now I can watch my college football!! Very happy with this product!

    Just ditched DirecTV and got this plus NETFLIX equals awesome. Plus playing FIFA 2012 with my son (with iPhones as gamepads) on a 27" TV looks and plays perfect, he kept saying, "this is cool!", thanks Apple!

    Adapter works great

    Needed to project videos and slideshows onto big screen TV. Got this adapter and it works great. Videos displayed without a hitch. Slideshows gave me a little trouble. Talked to the Genius Bar and they diagnosed my slideshow problem as the Auto-Lock feature activating after 2 minutes of inactivity. I would have thought iOS would have recognized playing a slideshow would be viewed as activity, but apparently that's not the case. After changing the Auto-Lock timer to Never (at least for the duration of the slideshow) everything worked perfectly.

    Haven't had the need to use the charging side of the adapter, but that is nice to have if running in a kiosk mode and running a looping slideshow or video for hours.

    Used just a cheap HDMI cable with adapter. Everything I've read about HDMI cables is don't buy them from big box store. Huge profit on cables. My cable cost me $12. Its digital - they either work or they don't. Order a cheap cable off the internet and you're good to go.

    Now have all my photos and videos on my iPad 3 displaying on HD TV and projector.

    I like it. A few things to do to enjoy movies through this adapter.

    You might need to remove your case to get a solid connection with the adapter.

    You need to keep the iPhone/Pod Touch stable: the adapter is long, so keeping the device and the adapter on a table top or the floor at the same level is requisite.

    Hook up the USB port to a power supply to keep the device charged while watching movies.

    Having done the above, you'll get great HD input to your TV.

    Well worth the price.

    I like to have movies, some are mkv, on my iPad for flights and also for hotels etc when on a trip. This device allows me to watch movies on the hotel TV and to view any photos I have taken and backed up onto the iPad.

    AVPlayer hd is a good app for watching videos in any format without having to convert to an iTunes compatible format.

    Well-built, but expensive

    Worked very well for mirroring Olympic content from CTV's app on our iPad2. Unlike AirPlay, apps don't need to be built with support. The only downside is the hit to the wallet!

    I admit that I was somewhat skeptical about how well this product would actually work. The complainants were so adamant in their disapproval of this product's performance! I have an iPhone 4S and it is currently my only resource to access the Internet from home. This miracle of technology gives me access to just about everything (still waiting for that flash player app, though)! Is the picture "true" hi-def? I don't know -but there's no weird pixelation that I can see; everything looks great! I've read reviews for other products & apps before and it seems to always come down to connectivity. Get Wi-Fi, people! It makes all the difference. There's some poorly made apps out there, certainly, but I'm getting 1920x1080 @60hz (whatever that means) & I'm getting a great picture of exactly what's on my iPhone's screen! Movies, games, web browsing -and it's even making me a better typist as well! Thank you.

    DAV cable works great

    I connected my new DAV cable from my television to an iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch. Hardest part was finding the TV remote to switch the HDMI connection to the right port. Successfully tested a combination of Netflix, Keynote, picture slide show and videos on each device with great success. I'll try plugging into the projectors at work tomorrow.

    I hooked it in to my iPad (3rd Generation), then my onkyo a/v receiver, turned it on and viola! It worked perfectly. Watched the first episode of Breaking Bad that I downloaded from iTunes!

    Apple Digital AV Adapter

    I have had this adapter for about 6 months and I think it works very well with my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. It does mirroring on iPad 2&3 and plays movies, music, and slideshows on an HDTV via an HDMI cable. It also has an integrated 30 pin slot on the bottom so you can charge your iPad or iPhone while using it. Overall, I think that this is a great product for the money and is very useful!
