    it docks the ipad tight, the ipad looks nice and the smart cover works too!!

    I just bought this dock yesterday at Best Buy and I love it! It's an awesome product- it has a sleek finish and looks great anywhere in my house! I use it for my iPad 2. I saw some of the reviews saying it is loose but it's definitely not. Just make sure you get the dock that is compatible with your generation iPad!!!!! Another great thing about this is because the iPod (4th gen) is shaped similar, I can charge it in the dock too!!! I definitely encourage anyone to buy this product!!!!

    this is one of the best inventions! ease of use and charging! no one will do just as good as the quality and apple! I'm waiting for the ipad ipad mini and four of them! I would not trade my ipad 3 until the dock!

    Don't listen to the low raters.

    This product is just great. The ipad fits in pretty straight and firm. It's very solid and useful.

    There's NO real risk for the ipad of falling or something. Plugging it is very easy. I Love it and use it while I write for my blog with a Bluetooth keyboard.

    Really recommended.

    I love this docking station. I use it almost daily and it holds the iPad well. It holds the iPad at a great angle to see photos or movies, while charging the iPad. A great purchase. Highly recommend it!

    The dock goes perfectly with the white iPad. I have the white iPad 2, and the color is identical so it doesn't look bad. I recomend buying.

    It's the best way to sync and charge your iPad. It's robust, reliable, and the rubber base makes it very secure.
    I use it all the time, is easy to plug with ONE HAND.

    I love the dock. It's simple, solidly built and holds the iPad securely. Since the iPad syncs with iTunes wirelessly and backs up to my iCloud account, the dock sits at my bedside full time. I had considered buying two docks, one for my pc and one for the bedroom but I found this to be unnecessary.

    I don't see how anyone could have an issue with this product IF they read the product description and looked at the pictures. Nowhere does it say anything about being compatible with any iPad covers nor do any of the illustrations show an iPad with a cover. As for the orientation, the description clearly states "Your iPad sits upright in the dock." Having said that, if you pull the smart cover back an inch or so, you can dock your iPad and then close the cover. C’mon people, it’s $29.

    To be honest, those who are giving this product negative reviews don't seem to have given their purchase much thought. So far as I can see, those griping about it are saying that it doesn't work with cases and such. Knowing Apple, though, it makes sense that it wouldn't. They like to streamline their products. It wouldn't look quite so attractive sitting on your desk if it was covered up with a chunky case. It's just Apple. That being said, the dock does what it's meant to do. It makes typing with the Apple bluetooth keyboard much nicer, and it just looks great sitting on my nightstand. I've had no issues with charging. As far as a docking station goes in terms of its uses, it's a great product.

    What's to complain about? It's sturdy, simple, and parks my beautiful iPad like a boss..... I love that I can also flip the iPad landscape and it holds just fine. I'm actually happy it doesn't allow me to plug in my iPhone in to it, this way it has the perfect fit just for the iPad rather than fatter iPhones and others... It's nice and snug instead. So what else do you want? It also plugs in headphones. It's 5 stars for me...

    Interesting complaints from the lazy. The stand works well WITH the polyurethane magnetic covers, and charges the iPad. Probably wouldn't suggest using it around small children and idiots.

    It's fantastic! Sturdy, charges fast & sits my iPad nicely to stand on my bed table. I use it and keep my clock on at night on my iPad. It is fantastic!

    Do not be dissuaded by the negative reviews of this iPad 2 charging dock. It works and functions perfectly for me. I could not ask for anything more. It makes my iPad 2 even more valued that it already was.
    And I use my Apple Smartcover always. There are 3 ways you can do that.
    1. Leave the Smart cover on your iPad. Open the cover, place the iPad into the dock. Then close the cover. Not difficult, folks.
    2. Leave the Smart cover on your iPad. Simply fold the cover into a triangle on that side of the iPad and leave it attached to the iPad. Place the iPad into the dock. Duh.
    3. Gently pull the cover off. Fold it into a triangle and set it behind the dock. Place the iPad into the dock. Easy. And no, the smart cover has NEVER scratched my iPad.

    Bought this stand for my iPad2 about a month ago and I love it I even pugged in a couple of speakers and it worked great but unplugged them as I did not want whole lot of stuff on the table..But it works for me plus it works with the cover so long as the corners on top click it works to turn off your iPad2 ..Its great

    Love it. Fits perfectly on night stand, small footprint, enough weight to anchor iPad securely, yet easy to remove. I am recommending to others.

    I don't get it? Why is everyone complaining about this. All it does is hold and charge your iPad 2. That's what it was made for.

    For everyone's information, you are supposed to take the smart cover off before putting it on the dock haha

    You CAN use the smart cover with this product so stop saying you can't. Just put the iPad 2 in the dock with the smart cover OPEN then after the i pad 2 is in the dock simply close the cover. When your ready to use the iPad 2 simply pull it off like usual. When your finished repeat the process. i can't believe you all complain, when all that needs to be done is something simple... Americans are getting lazier and lazier.
