Lasted less than 6 months before it disintegrated. Replacing these twice a year could get expensive for what they cost. No Apple support!

The iPhone Black Bumper was just what I wanted: protection around the perimeter of the phone AND keeps the phone front or back elevated when iPhone is placed on a desktop or table. BUT the headphone jack opening is too narrow to permit full insertion of standard size headphone jacks. You'll need an adapter.

I don't recommend buying such a bumper. I believe it is not worth the price you pay! My bumper went broken in 4 months since its purchase, literally piece by piece.

Simply put: it fell apart after a few months.

This case seems to work best out of the cases I've tried. It doesn't come with anything to protect the screen and it is true that dirt will get under it and scratch the metal band. I fixed this problem by buying the invisible shield maximum coverage which covers both sides of the iPhone plus the metal band. This seems to be the most effect way of keeping my iPhone safe. I have dropped it several times and it seems to protect it from any damage. I would recommend this case to anyone.

I own this case as well as an Incase Snap Case and an Incase Slider. I find myself using my Apple Bumper the most of the 3. Love it! It looks better than the other 2 on my phone and provides the protection necessary to keep my phone in good condition.

It hasn't caused any scratches to appear on the rim either. The reason others are getting scratches on theirs is because they aren't taking good care of their phones. With any case you should periodically remove the case and clean the inside of the case, as well as the areas of the phone the case is against. Dirt/dust will get trapped in any case over time and can cause scratches if not taken care of.

Only con is that the dock opening at the bottom of the case isn't quite big enough for some of my older iPod/charging cables, but I can live with that.

When I was first looking to get a case for my new Verizon iPhone, I was very skeptical about getting this case because of all the negative reviews and people saying it scratches the antenna band. That said, I have had this case (BLACK) since the Verizon iPhone came out in February and it hasn't yet once scratched my phone or fall apart. This keeps the phone looking good and its nice and slim. I admit, it's not the best of protecting the whole phone, but it does making the phone easier to hold and protects of from sliding on tables and scratching the bottom. Maybe since this is now a universal case for ATT and Verizon they adjusted some of the material or something, but mine works great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their iPhone looking like it was made to look like and not a big bulky case that takes away the design.

I only give this a 4 of 5 stars cause it doesn't protect the phone from the back, you would need a invisible shield or something, but I don't even have that and I don't have a scratch.

I liked this product for the first several months. Now just recently it started falling apart. The phone in no way gets tossed around or abused. When I took this bumper case off my phone there were numerous scuff marks all over the edges of the phone that I can't seem to get off. For the $30 price they want, you do NOT get your money's worth. Because of the deterioration so soon, what I originally liked quickly turned into a huge disappointment. I do not recommend this product.

Cheap, harmful, doesn't fit all cables or docks.

Here's the deal: The case looks good, doesn't add much bulk, and works well with screen/back protectors. That's about all that's good with it. I do like this case but I have a lot of complaints.

- Doesn't fit non-standard dock connectors (must remove case)
- Doesn't fit larger headphone connectors (must remove case)
- Ring/vibrate switch is really tough to get to unless you have long nails
- Pressure on the bottom can silence the speakerphone/block microphone
- Secondary microphone hole too small
- Rubber on front and back is not durable at all -- mine was completely destroyed after 6 months of delicate use. The case now barely stays on.

Go for a case with more protection and higher build quality. This one doesn't cut it (even though it was free).
