    Couldn't be easier

I took it out of the box, plugged it in & it worked. No problems at all. To add icing to the cake I tried out Air Play - videos from my iPad & iPhone. Same result. Hit the A.P. icon & flawless playback of video from both. All wireless.

It gets even better: I have a 1st Generation TV & was not happy about it not being supported any more. So I cursed, spent the 100 bucks & bought the current A. TV. I managed to sell my 1st Gen. for $150.00. Madness? What can I say? It was a nice unit with the 160GB hard drive, etc. but technology marches on . . .

This cable is thiner than most other HDMI cables, while performing just as well. This sleek design provides for great flexibility when installing and routing the cable. In addition, the fit of the plug ends is a little snugger than my other HDMI cables, so that the plug ends are less prone to inadvertently slip out of the HDMI sockets. Highly recommended!

    Awful picture quality

I was surprised to see Apple selling this cable for under $20. Now I know why. I hooked it up and the picture quality was terrible. The color was completely washed out. Used my HDMI cable that I had hooked to another device and a looked 1000 times better.

Rode my bike to Apple store and picked this HDMI cable up. Worked flawlessly with my HP Pavilion dm4-1265dx and Sony DVD player on my Samsung TV. Unlike other HDMI cables, this one has a cleaner look, much like other Apple products. HDMI cable replaces 5 video + audio cables! For $20, this is a steal! Although I can't be sure if this cable is standard speed or high speed, but it's enough.

I bought this cable in May of last year and after one summer of use the sound went out. I wasn't devastated because it didn't cost an arm an a leg but still I expected it to last a little longer.

Probably over-priced, but if you care but aesthetics, it has a clean look and functions well.

A perfect HDMI cable for an amazing price. I shopped around for HDMI cables today in my town, and the cheapest one was at Apple. It beat out other stores by $10-$50. I also don't see any difference in the signal from any other HDMI cable. I also like how sleek the cable is compared to other HDMI cables.

I recently purchased this HDMI cable for the 720p Apple TV. When I purchased the new 1080p Apple TV I thought I needed a Monster HDMI cable that cost $99. I was wrong. I could see no difference. I returned the Monster HDMI cable the next day. The Apple HDMI cable performs well and the picture is excellent. I would recommend this cable if you decide to purchase the new 1080p Apple TV or any other HDMI device.

So thin! So cheap! So reliable!

This is probably the cheapest product that Apple makes. A 1.8-meter HDMI cable for $19. Cheaper than most cables at Best Buy. Works perfectly, not a single glitch or skip in the audio or video signal.

Excellent Balance Between Cost, Audio/Video Quality, and Cable Length

While it is possible to buy HDMI cables that claim to provide premium audio/video quality, they also charge a premium price. Many of these high-end cables cost as much as or even more than the Apple TV itself, and they do NOT provide an increase in audio/video quality that can be discerned by most human eyes/ears. Perhaps an electronics technician using an oscilloscope to compare the signals might be able to identify differences between various HDMI cables, but I would challenge anyone else to do so. The cord length is also ideal for most setups. Unlike what has been written in some other reviews, unless you are playing around with the cables an awful lot, this HDMI cable stays firmly connected. I frequently take my Apple TV to friends' houses and even the act of routinely disconnecting and reconnecting the device has had no negative impact on the secureness of the connection or the audio/video quality. I have one Apple TV that I bought with this cable and I am about to order another one.

    A fine HDMI cable

The widely varying reviews of this cable are hilarious. It's a perfectly fine HDMI cable, it doesn't disable Netflix, it IS HDCP compatible (how else would watching movies from the iTunes store work?) and it doesn't 'degrade the signal' because HDMI is a DIGITAL signal that gold-plating a cable can't enhance. In fact, Apple deserves a 5 star review on this for selling at a VERY reasonable $19 vs $80+ for the various cables that Best Buy and other retailers talk people into buying. I wanted an HDMI cable that delivered both functionally and visually and by far the Apple HDMI cable is the only one of the bunch that doesn't have a comparatively hideous connector and overly bulky cable. I would not recommend running this through your wall, but for plugging into your Apple TV next to the black power cable and a black ethernet cable, it's perfect.
