only protects phone in some situations

    • Written by from Falls Church

I had the bumper for 3 months and I was really happy with it (it looked good, it protected my phone, didn't make the phone too bulky), but when I dropped my phone on something that wasn't a perfectly flat surface it completely shattered. I'm bitter because I need to give up my unlimited data plan now. Just keep in mind that the bumper only protects some kind of falls.

Headphone hole is entirely too small

    • Written by from Jersey City

I bought the green bumper to protect my iPhone, and if I had known that my headphones do not work with it, I probably would have gotten a different product. In order to listen to music, or practice for my singing lessons I have to take the bumper off every time; which is frustrating and makes it a waste of money. I cannot use the headphones that come with the phone because have they me migraines. Also, I've only had the bumper for a few weeks and it is already getting dirty. I've only had it in my backpack and sitting on my desk at home.

    Cute but not practical

    • Written by from Vermilion

I'm disappointed. The hole for the headphone jack was too small, rendering my headphones and tape deck adaptor useless. The hole at the bottom of the case was sized to allow the usb charger cable to be connected but was too small for the itrip. If listening to music is important, then this is Not the case for you.

I returned the same day purchased and would rate all Apple bumpers 2 stars.

    Not Worth It

    • Written by from Basalt

I have a white IPhone and I bought the pink bumper thinking it would look and stay like new like the picture... nope. It has many scratches and tears and is so gross because its covered in dirt :(

Nice idea, doesn't hold up well

    • Written by from Los Angeles

When brand new, this case is great, I love how it is minimal and keeps the phone from sliding around everywhere. But in just over a year, I've had two of these $30 chunks of plastic and rubber fall apart on me with just normal wear and tear. First, the plastic cracks in a thin area, making the case loose, but it still works. Then, the rubber starts degrading and falling apart to the point where it no longer protects the phone well, and little pieces start falling off in your hands. Nice idea, but really cheap materials.

    Disappointment

The cover looks really nice and fits well. The only thing wrong with it is that it is not made to protect the back of my phone. I want something to keep the glass on th back looking clean and protecting from scratches.

    Not worth the price!

    • Written by from Barrington

So overpriced. Looks good, but the face and back of the phone is exposed, the case only covers the sides. If you want something to truly protect your phone look elsewhere.

    bummer bumper

    • Written by from Nevada City

I've owned this bumper for 12 weeks. It comes undone often and is cheap. Better to spend more money and buy the better quality covers from the beginning.

    Definitely not worth $29

    • Written by from East Meadow

The bumper is definitely a good idea but not worth $29. After 9 months, it turns color which is irreversible and pieces of it have started to tear off like a worn out rubber band. Very disappointing product from Apple. Best way to summarize -- like serving frozen french fries with a steak from a 5 star restaurant.

    Connectivity problems

    • Written by from CHICAGO

The first thing I had to do after getting the bumper was to buy a new USB car adapter. The old one did not fit anymore because the bumper is too narrow and thick around the part where you plug in the phone to charge it. Also, it isn't easy to put the bumper on or off. Once it's on you wanna leave it alone. And yes, it scratches the frame of the phone. I noticed this after I took the bumper of to clean it. On the bright side, It looks nice and it protects the buttons of the phone without reducing their functionality.

    Stains EASILY

    • Written by from oakville

I had only been using my bumper for a couple of weeks when I discovered that the soft rubber edging has been stained simply from my brown leather purse. It's rather frustrating and I think proves how cheap the material is even though apple charges an excessive amount for it's quality.

Might look good but don't suggest it

    • Written by from Toronto

Yes the bumper case looks good, but I noticed on my iPhone it would leave scratch marks on the metal part going around the phone. Also it wouldn't protect the phone. I dropped my phone just only once waist high and the screen cracked. I would suggest you to not buy this.

    Meh

    • Written by from Westchester

It fits ok and seems to be of high quality. My issue is that it doesn't accept most headphone plugs or dock connectors. If you have anything other than the Apple accessories (car charger? Audio plug from your stereo?) the case will need to be removed. Also not too stoked on how "sticky" the rubber is in my pocket.

    Like the title says "meh"
