Reviews for Apple iPhone 4 Bumper - Pink

I bought the pink bumper for my iPhone 4S about a year ago because I wanted a case with minimal bulk that didn't detract much from the aesthetic of the phone. When I received it, at first I was a little worried that the bumper would not provide very much protection, because it does not fully encase the phone (front or back) and is made of a hard plastic material. But since I had already paid $30 for it I figured I would give it a shot.

The verdict, after one full year of use: BEST ACCESSORY FOR THE iPHONE EVER. I drop my phone probably 2-3 times per week, and there is not a single mark, scratch, crack, or chip to be found, and I don't use any other protective gear (i.e., invisible shield, etc.) other than the bumper. The thing that makes the bumper a surprisingly good case is that it has a slight lip around the edge that prevents either the front or the back from directly touching hard surfaces. Its hard plastic design keeps the bumper from coming off the phone (it easily slides in and out of my jean pockets and never snags or tugs at the edges). AND this bumper is actually manufactured by Apple, so it is designed with metal buttons for the power and volume buttons, which make them as responsive as they would be without a case. Also, the color and shape have held up beautifully. There are some little scuffs from all the dropping, but it's still very sturdy, shiny, and bright pink.

The only drawback I have found is that some non-Apple manufactured cord jacks don't click into place with the bumper on (for instance, my iHome connects to my iPhone with the bumper on without issue, but the jack in my car has to be wiggled around a bit to make a solid connection).

Awesome shades of pink that contrasts perfectly with my white iPhone plus not too bulky BUT soooooooo hard to clean. I have to replace this case almost every month to keep the color looking clean and new. :(

I have the bumper in orange green and white and switch I them out every couple weeks, the green one shows a little wear but other that that they look great, and they don't make the phone bulky and they show off the iPhone looks well!

I just got this and I dropped my phone and the back of the phone totally cracked...if this were a real case I wouldn't be going out right now to buy myself a new iPhone 4s....kinda sad cuz I just got my first iPhone 4s a week ago....cute but doesn't give full protection!

I've had my iPhone 4 bumper for about six months. The bumper itself gets dirty SO easily. Within two weeks of having the phone it was already dirty. At six months into owning the bumper and using it each and every day, my bumper is completely filthy and is beginning to wear down. The edges are disgusting and its once beautiful pink shade is now dulling, and wearing into a dirty pink tone. For a bumper that I had paid 29.99 for, it shouldn't get filthy and wear down so easily. I usually never write reviews but I'd like to recommend this to those who are considering purchasing this bumper: it ideally does its job in protecting the phone, but with due time, you'll most likely have to get a new case once every four to six months. I've had friends with bumpers as well (blue, green colored etc) and they've also tossed them after a few months due to the wear/tear and the filth on the case. Apple, you guys make great products, you should improve your cases as well, or bring down the price to what it really should be worth.

I have a bumper in black and it fits perfectly. The edges are rubberized so are non-slip on a slick surface. I ordered a pink bumper and just put it on my phone today...it is HORRIBLE. The soft rubber edges feel dry rotted and hard. It wasn't easy to get on and you so much as touch the top side of the case and the top button pushes in...it doesn't even fit right. So...thanks Apple for sending me a dry rotted case that is messed up. Now I have to deal with returning it. :(

I have this very product and color for one month now and LOVE IT...Never misplaced ..Reasonably priced unique..
