My bumper is really snug. The color is cute. I love pink and it has two tones of pink. It's sort of a hard silicone covered by a hard plastic. I'm not convinced that it would protect my iphone 4 from severe falls, but the phone seems to be really solid in the first place.

I bought the pink bumper for my iPhone 4S about a year ago because I wanted a case with minimal bulk that didn't detract much from the aesthetic of the phone. When I received it, at first I was a little worried that the bumper would not provide very much protection, because it does not fully encase the phone (front or back) and is made of a hard plastic material. But since I had already paid $30 for it I figured I would give it a shot.

The verdict, after one full year of use: BEST ACCESSORY FOR THE iPHONE EVER. I drop my phone probably 2-3 times per week, and there is not a single mark, scratch, crack, or chip to be found, and I don't use any other protective gear (i.e., invisible shield, etc.) other than the bumper. The thing that makes the bumper a surprisingly good case is that it has a slight lip around the edge that prevents either the front or the back from directly touching hard surfaces. Its hard plastic design keeps the bumper from coming off the phone (it easily slides in and out of my jean pockets and never snags or tugs at the edges). AND this bumper is actually manufactured by Apple, so it is designed with metal buttons for the power and volume buttons, which make them as responsive as they would be without a case. Also, the color and shape have held up beautifully. There are some little scuffs from all the dropping, but it's still very sturdy, shiny, and bright pink.

The only drawback I have found is that some non-Apple manufactured cord jacks don't click into place with the bumper on (for instance, my iHome connects to my iPhone with the bumper on without issue, but the jack in my car has to be wiggled around a bit to make a solid connection).

However, if you're going to go dropping the phone all over the place, you should probably buy something bulkier.

One downside is that it doesn't last very long before it starts to break down, particularly around the area where the home button is, because of the wear from fingers always brushing against it and from tugging it out of your pocket. Expect to get a good six months out of it.

just bought this case last night for my new 4s, love it! really nice quality, pink is vibrant & bumper does what it's meant to do. looks great with my white 4s! perfect case for easy handling. you'll need a shield for face tho.

I have had my bumper over 2 months and it is already falling apart!! The rubber is all coming undone where you plug the phone in to charge it. I know the bumper I got was free but I do not want to spend $29 on another one and have it do the same thing. Is anyone else having the same problem??????

If I take it off I drop calls like crazy.

I just got my iPhone 4s last week and ordered the hot pink bumper to go with it. I must say I was nervous that it wasn't going to protect much since it doesn't go around the whole phone, but i love it! I put screen protectors on the front and back and have had absolutely no problem with it at all! For those of you who bought the bumper after the iPhone 4 came out then it has changed a little bit. My boyfriend has the "old" style bumper that feels like complete rubber and is starting to tear. The new one feels a lot different and is a lot sturdier. I would definitely recommend this case to other people!

So awesome! Was a little worried at first but this bumper protects my iPhone famously. I thought it would arrive in a bubblegummy pink, but it's practically glow in the dark neon! Oh well, haha. I ordered it maybe 1 or 2 month ago and hasn't stretched at all or retained any dirt like other reviews claim. Thanks Apple, I will be buying this in more colors for sure!

i absolutely looooove my pink bumper its the only case ive had on my iphone for months, but now it is starting to rip and is extremely stretched out.
i wish it would last longer, but i am now going to order the red one because i like it so much

Phone and bumper were fine. I was worried since hard wood flooring but a relief.

It is better than most cases I've had (5 and counting) by keeping phone back exposed, and phone is much more cooler in temp. I also like the grippy nature of the rubber...it will keep the phone stationary in my car on the dash.

The case is PERFECT to keep Apple's poor design of a phone made out of glass in your hand and not sliding around and dropping. For that I await the 5 and hope it's not glass or aluminum...both which are slippery in hands.

So I like it....I've dropped my phone twice and let this bumper take all the abuse...better than the other option.

I love the look of the pink bumper. I bought it immediately upon getting my first iPhone and got a lot of compliments on the bright color. Unfortunately, within a week of having the bumper, it started to get dingy and dirty on the corners. I tried cleaning it but had no luck.
