I really don't understand the folks that have wrote all the negative feedback on this. It fits the ipod perfectly, provides support, and allows access to the button which is low on the unit. Sure it could be better with maybe a custom front fit with a carved out spot for the button but it works well as is. Very happy with the simple product.

after three docks all of them only worked for 1 day, and they all did the same thing, they began geting real bad static, now i love apple and i tried swapping the a.v cables and had the nothing the dock stopped working with both my iphone4 and ipog 4gen.overall it was a good idea with the remote cause the time it was working it was a awsome addition to my cars sound system but to only last 1 day that was dissapinting.

I purchased the adapters to connect my iPod Touch 4G with my Logitech speakers as well as the docking station to our household sound system. While this does help the fit and allows music to play, this set up still does not provide power to the iPod Touch.

It was sort of what I wanted. To those reading this review, I suggest getting the 2nd gem dock adapter pack. They fit snugly and work great.

I found the prior reviews a bit odd given that apple engineered both the device and the adapters. They work perfectly - excellent snug fit against the back wall of the adapter. The extra room between the front of the adapter and the device is so that the device button is accessible.

Not A Custom Fit For 4th Gen Touch

What was Apple was thinking when these were designed? The 4th gen Touch will work when cradled into these dock adapters, however the adapter cavity is much larger front-to-back than the body of the 4th gen Touch. Because of that, the adapter provides no structural support to the Touch when pressing the home button or using the touch screen while it is docked. It is no better than inserting the iPod into a dock that has no adapter installed. I am afraid that this lack of structural support will cause the dock connector port in the Touch to become distorted, and will lead to some of the erratic connection issues that you read about in some of the other reviews. Maybe someone else will come out with a dock adapter that is actually sized for the 4th gen Touch; the genuine Apple product definitely isn't the right fit.

    Not a Good Fit

My review is going to mirror reviews that others have already posted.

When I purchased these I assumed that they would be specially molded to allow my iPod touch to be easily inserted into my dock, however, the hole on the dock adapter is too large to allow the iPod touch to be easily docked.

I have an Apple dock and it takes me a few seconds to dock my iPod because the dock adapter is not shaped to fit the iPod touch; this seems to be just a generically shaped dock adapter that is being sold as one designed for the 4th generation iPod touch.

I am disappointed, Apple (which is becoming the norm with you lately).

I purchased this product with hopes of improvements from the 1st generation iPod touch Dock Adapter. You see, when I stick my iPod touch 4gen into my old adapter, I would have to tilt the iPod up or down in order to hear it (this happened with my 1st gen iPod touch as well). So you'd think that the new iPod and the new adapter wouldn't create that problem. Well you're wrong, you can't hear anything in the normal state, and even after you tilt it it just goes back to its natural position which doesn't transfer the sound from the iPod to the speaker.

Basically I'm saying Buyers Beware. I learned that I should start believing what other people say about the product, regardless of their rate. But I only had to spend $15, so I'm not too upset.
