    Doesnt Work After Upgrade

    • Written by from Nice

I loved my little VGA connector as I teach and use my Ipad for all my classes. Since the upgrade to the iOS6 it hasnt worked. I've tried using my students' iPads as well and since they have all upgraded to iOS6, it doesn't work on theirs either! I wish I could go back!

Doesn't work with iPhone 4 running iOS 6

    • Written by from Asker

My iPhone 4 worked fine with iOS 5 but after upgrading to iOS 6 no projectors work anymore. The projector detects a connected device but displays nothing.
I hold a lot of courses on different projectors all the time and now none of them work, pretty annoying. I hope Apple can make a fix.

Doesn't work on my iPad 2

    • Written by from chatsworth

Mirroring does not work on my iPad 2 with that cable, I can't watch videos either. It works with my iPhone 4 though (not for mirroring but to watch videos) with the same cable and the same TV set. So I don't understand and Apple won't help. It might be an app I have installed on my iPad which is not compatible...really annoying. I'm a trainer and need to use my iPad to display my keynotes presentations...it simply won't work...

    Business Travel

    • Written by from Lake Ridge

I bought this so i did not have to lug around my work Dell PC. Now I just travel with my Airbook and tunnel back to the Dell or transfer my files or presentations I need onto my Airbook. I had a presentation to give at a corporate retreat, i knew they would have VGA projectors. So I purchased this and it worked like a charm. HINT: Once you have it plugged in connected to the projector you will need to go to display and refresh, this might mean even unplugging the adapter and inserting it again. Other then that worked with no problem.

    Ignore the bogus ios6 reviews

    • Written by from Ooltewah

These folks don't know what they are talking about. I have ios 6 with the new iPad (3). It worked great!! I tried video mirroring and video etc. went to best buy to test first since they let me try it and they have a no cost restock fee if it doesn't work. Most of these folks on here with negative ios 6 reviews are not posting what they are running on it. I was tempted to listen but don't!!! It works great!! However it may be a case of a updated av adapter, There seems to be different models of the av adapter maybe? Anyways enjoy folks!!!

    Works perfectly!!

    • Written by from Winona

I'm not having a problem with it working on my iPad 2 with iOS 6. It didn't initially work because I plugged in the 30-pin connector BEFORE plugging in the VGA cable from my 32" monitor. However, disconnecting and reconnecting it to my iPad while the cable was still plugged in got me the result I expected - full mirroring and even plays movies from apps outside of the iOS Videos app such as Vudu, Netflix, etc! I'm quite pleased!

Expensive VGA Adapter no longer working after 6.0 Update

    • Written by from Orlando

I’m incredibly annoyed that my $30.00 VGA adapter no longer works since updating my iPhone 4 to 6.0. I use this to display Youtube videos in my high school classroom. I have not been able to mirror my screen since Oct 2 when I updated my phone.

    Is Apple becoming Microsoft?

    Not A Complete Solution

    • Written by from Chelsea

A;lthough this reads as a complete, mirroring solution, it is not. Shame on Apple for misleading on this front once again!

Get it right folks and be honest!

    Works for some content

    • Written by from Espoo

Bought it to use my iPad2 with a projector. Should have read the reviews first.. Videos from iTunes will not play. Should be clearly labelled as a limited functionality device!

    Serious presentation limitations

    • Written by from Belmont

    Pros:
    The adapter works.

    Cons:
The adapter only works with youtube and a few other select apps. If you are hoping to use your ipad as a presentation tool (I teach at a university and this is what I was hoping for) you will be extremely upset to find that it doesn't work with most presentation apps ie Prezi etc.

    Buyer Beware!

    • Written by from Palm Harbor

One star only because I cannot rate it at zero! Yes I buy movies from I tunes. I bought my Ipad 2 from Apple. I bought this adapter from apple. Now the rub! It will allow an I tunes purchased movie to play on your TV for about 20 seconds before it stops it, and gives you a pop up that it will not play on a non compatible device??!!! Not what I read in the description!
Totally Disgusted!!! What now, " you must purchase an Apple TV?!!!
    Do Not Buy It!!!

    Poor image quality

    • Written by from SECUNDERABAD

I found that There is a striking amount of image quality loss when my iPad is connected to both LED/LCD projectors. This is really disappointing as the image seen on the big screen is dull and without life when compared to the iPad screen image. This is not so with the pc connected to LCD/LED projectors. Apple must do something about this for the sake of its users.

    Accessory Not Supported...

    • Written by from Tempe

I bought this accessory so that I could use my iPad to teach my lectures through Keynotes. It worked twice perfectly fine. Then, the third time I used it gave me the "This accessory is not supported by the iPad" error. Needless to say, I was glad I had my flash drive as a backup.

VGA Adapter All it Should Be

    • Written by from Grand Rapids

I purchased the VGA adapter for my iPad 2 and a data projector. I wanted to be able to show others how to use the iPad and all the apps. It worked perfectly from the very start. Every app showed on the screen clear and sharp. I did not try to play movies that were converted to the iPad. But photos, apps, settings, mail, everything showed beautifully without any effort.

works with flexplayer on iphone 4s

    • Written by from kelowna

I load and watch movies on my phone using flex player, This cable allows me to output video to any screen with a vga input. Works perfectly! The only complaint I have is why this cable would not support charging as well.

Can't play movies downloaded from iTunes

    • Written by from Porto Alegre

The only purpose I bought the cable was to watch movies on my TV. My surprise, however, is that we can't play "protected movies" on the TV with this cable.
    Frustrated.
