    A great accessory that I actually use everyday. I have Sony RX100 that I take photos in RAW file and easily transmit to my iPad 3rd Gen in RAW. Haven't experience any of the problems other talk about. Good job Apple

    One of the best things I used to love about apple products was how simple things just worked. I now have a camera connection kit that used to work on my 3rd gen IPad, but now doesn't because it is not a recognised accessory!!

    This used o be the best addition to my iPad. Now it has stopped being recognized, why are you stillsellingthis if you won't allow it to work with the iPad?!? So frustrating!!!!

    When I had my blue Kodak camera, this would have been great and I am thankful I could save my thousands of pics using this and the SD reader. I have a new found use of collecting game camera photos for viewing and downloading while still in the woods with no Internet connection, so that I need not collect cards, check on a laptop and bring back later but download to view and not miss a second of camera time on our property. My newer (2y/o) Sony camera has a memory stick pro duo that won't fit the sd and for some reason the USB WILL NOT connect to a camera. When connected it does not recognize it and doesn't work. It will import iphone pics via 30-pin to USB to be edited in iPhoto on the great bigger screen, including panoramas.

    Plugged in the SD Card reader as instructed and got no connection at all. Doesn't read the card and nothing happens. Useless for reviewing and/or importing pictures. Would give it a no stars rating if the system allowed it.

    I BOUGHT MY IPAD USED AND IT CAME WITH A BUCH OF GOODIES SUCH AS THE CAMERA KIT. THE CONNECTIONS WORK FINE THEY'RE AMAZING BUT,

    THE BUYERS DON'T REALIZE IS THAT THE SD CARD READER WILL ONLY WORK FOR CERTAIN CARDS. I HAVE NOT FOUND A CARD ADAPTER THAT WORKS FOR THE MICRO SD BUT, FOR A REGULAR SD CARD I KNOW THAT THE "PNY HS SD CARD" WORKS.

    THE USB ADAPTER WORKS FINE TOO BUT,

    IT DOESN'T WORK FOR PHONES OR CAMERAS THAT DRAW POWER FROM THE USB THAT CHARGE THE DEVICE AND ALSO THAT SOME USB STICKS DON'T WORK ALSO.

    THIS IS WHAT I WAS ABLE TO FIGURE OUT AFTER GOING THROUGH THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER AND ANOTHER. ONCE YOU FIND THE CORRECT ONES THAT ARE CONNECT TO YOUR ADAPTERS THE DEVICE WORKS GREAT. ITS JUST THE HASSLE OF FINDING IT THAT STINKS. LOL

    I'd give it 5 stars for its functionality on my iPad, but only penalize it for not being supported by the iPhone 5 even when using an adapter. Why Apple? Why? Love the products, but really hate being gauged on little cords and adapters.

    HD video files won't download; Photos download fine

    HD video files were taken on a Sony Cybershot using a standard SD card won't download to new iPad 4 using the HD connection cord. The instructions imply that photos and videos will both download in Photos automatically and the video files will have a different icon, but only Photos download. I bought the iMovie app for iPad 4 and it doesn't identify or import the video files either. I would appreciate if Apple would give better instructions on video importing as it's not clear what application I should use to download video files. It is not intinuitive to use Photos to import movie files.

    I bought this on Black Friday in Roosevelt Field this year. I used today for the first time it worked once time the second time I tried to import photos from a different sd card it did nothing I have and Ipad3

    I do not understand some of the earlier posts about this item not working with the newest IOS. I plugged the SD to 30 pin into an IPad 2 with IPhoto and the photo recognition and transfer was seamless. Does exactly what is advertised.

    Privia Digital Piano MIdi connection

    Purchased to connect keyboard to Ipad. Doesn't work for this. I saw You tube videos of this working, but haven't gotten anywhere. Can transfer photos ok and can connect Piano to my PC. But I wanted to use and I purchase the Piano Tutor app and Garage Band with the keyboard and it won't interface. I understand that the Ipad has midi support, but how can you use it if it doesn't interface?

    It worked great first, very useful kit but since the last update it does not work anymore. It says it is not supported.

    Have used Apple products for around 15 years and this is the first negative review. I bought this for travelling with the iPad mini. It doesn't work with a Canon Rebel - probably one of the most common DSLRs on the market, doesn't work with Olympus XZ-1 but curiously works with Olympus OMD EM5, using the same USB lead. 1 out of 3 is pretty poor by any standards.

    I would avoid it unless you can test it beforehand.

    I use it for music and the keyboard works like a charm directly pluged into the ipad with the camera connector

    This is a very poorly designed accessory. Because it sticks out, the camera cord puts weight on the connection, loosening it over time. A better design would be a short cord from ipad to accessory, similar to that of theVGA adapter. I sort of think the reason they didn't design it like that is so we will have to buy more of these...as they enevitably stop working. Not impressed.
