    SD adaptor

    • Written by from Olympia

I purchased the camera adeaptor kit, plugged my camera chip into the adaptor, plugged the adaptor into the iPad and the system worked flawlessly. All the photos showed up on the screen -- selecting the ones to upload was simple, and uploading was no problem. I am totally impressed with ease of use and convenience of this adaptor.

    Versatile and very useful.

When used with an SD card, iPhone and Pentax DSLR it works flawlessly, treating each device as a Camera in iPhoto.

It also works with my M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 USB keyboard. I can now play a real piano in Garageband on my iPad 2 instead of using the on-screen keyboard. I have heard it works with USB microphones but haven't tried it yet.

I couldn't get it to work with a USB keyboard, hard drive or thumb drive.
If you buy a product and use it for something it's not intended for, don't complain and give a 1 star review if it doesn't work.

The iPad Camera Connection Kit does what it's supposed to and works perfectly. It works with cameras - everything else is a bonus.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I use the SD card with both regular and micro SD cards from my Nikon Camera and Countour HD video camera. It works great and gives me a nice high res display to view my stuff before getting back home to edit. I use the Contour for skydiving and it allows me to share the video with my jump buddies as soon as we hit the ground. It should be noted that the highest res of the contour is high than the ipad display so you can't see those until you get home. I always shoot on the 720p 60fps setting though and there it works great. Once I get home, a quick sync and all my photos and vids are in my desktop. I'm very pleased.

Bought the connector while on vacation in Chicago, Apple Store has them in stock. Worked perfectly to import from 2GB high-speed cards. Have imported well over 1000 pics now, all nicely organized by date. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended time-saving device

    Works with Canon t4i

    • Written by from Westport

I almost would not have bought the kit based on all the reviews stating it does not work with the current iPad. I called customer service and asked if she can find out if it works with the Canon Ti series. She told me she has a canon rebel herself and it works for her - so I bought it and it does work on the iPad running 5.1.1: connect the USB cable to camera, fire it up and the photo software starts automatically. You can now select, download and delete. When done- just disconnect.

Issue with importing digital pixs with connector

    • Written by from Brentwood

IMHO, memory cards with capacity larger than 2 gigabytes are problematic. Maybe the new iOS fixed that. Also the CF should not be used as external disk storage device with Macs or PCs prior to interfacing with iPad. iOS might get confused and refuse to import pixs. Other than that, it's indispensable especially when traveling without a laptop.

Works Great Does What it Says

Using it on iPad 2G with FW 5.0.1, and Canon EOS Rebel T3i FW 1.0.1 . I did not have to change any settings, it was a direct plug and play, works flawlessly uploaded a 20 second HD Video 1080p clip and 300 plus Jpeg Fine images in 20 minutes using 32GB HCHD Transcend card directly from the T3i. Could not be happier my father in law was impressed, he thinks I am some sort of genius now !

    Awesomely Offload Videos from iPhone

    • Written by from Winchester

Need to reclaim space from your iPhone after shooting HD video? Only one iPad Camera Connection Kit is needed. Just use it and the cable that comes with the iPhone.

At first I thought I would need two of these and a male-to-male USB wire, but I was only suffering from a momentary lapse of logic.

    Absolutely great!

I don't know where individuals are coming up with negative comments on this great product! All you have to do is connect you sd card into the card reader and that's it! It will ask you what you would like to import and once it's finished, it will ask you whether or not you would like to keep your pictures on the sd card itself or delete them. It is one of the best accessories I have ever bought from apple! Thanks apple for making such renowned products!!!

    Camera Connection Kit to iPhone

    • Written by from Cambridge

I have had a great time connecting via USB from my iPhone 3GS - for photos and video -to the iPad.

It works well with my Sony CyberShot - but the video doesn't play. It does sync the videos to iPhoto to be able to play them.

    It Just Works

    • Written by from Watauga

I hesitated to buy this product because of a lot of negative reviews I read but it worked flawlessly. I have a new 3rd generation iPad updated to iOS 5.1. I also have a Canon Powershot G12 camera. I followed the instructions that came with the connection kit. I turned on the iPad and plugged in the mini USB device. I turned on the camera and set it to view the photos. I plugged my camera USB cable into the camera and then into the device. The photo app opened with "Camera" as one of the folders and thumbnails of the over 200 photos on my camera appeared within seconds. No drivers to download or software to install. It was quick and easy. I selected a few photos to import and in a few seconds I had high quality camera photos to show off on my iPad. This will be very useful on trips. I love the way Apple products just work!

I have a lumix something or other camera. When I plugged it in with the card the iPad 2 picked up its signals within minutes. It took a little while to download all the pictures but they were HD so they could be expected. I loved this because it made it so much easier to access and send photos on my iPad.
