    Disappointing

    • Written by from Omaha

according to its specs, this should work with both my Nikon and Canon cameras. it works on the Nikon sometimes, and the Canon never. if it won't import automatically, and there is no import command, what am I supposed to do? very frustrating.

    Wish it worked

    • Written by from Odenton

Apparently these adapters are VERY particular about which devices can be connected. I tried two different brands of SD cards and nothing happens. I also tried the USB flash memory sticks I have on hand and get a message that the device cannot be used because it requires too much power. I wonder how many SD cards and memory sticks I'll have to buy before I find any that work...

Imports video but will not play video

    • Written by from Randolph

I am terribly disappointed with this product. Apple leads you to believe that you can import your videos and then view them on your iPad. Though it will import videos, it will not play them. After hours of trying to figure out why, it turns out there is no reason for it not to work with my particular camera which saves video in mp4 format. Though I do like that I can import pictures directly from my camera or from my phone, I was mainly interested in using this product for the ease of saving and viewing home videos. Hopefully it is a software glitch that they will fix soon.

Can't manage the photos using the SD card

    • Written by from West Bloomfield

Useless as you can't manage the photo on the SD card, only directly from camera to iPad.

    Seriously...? Waste of money!

    • Written by from Webb City

So I just connected my camera to my iPad for the first time, and I am also getting the inadequate power message. So I just wasted a bunch of money on a software issue? Apple, I expect so much better from you. All I want is to make room on my camera for more vacation pictures, and now it seems I can't. Wonderful...

Very unstable, works for one device but not another

    • Written by from Pleasanton

We bought two iPad 2 at the same time. This device works perfectly in one but it does not work at all in the other iPad 2. We tried everything possible. It should work in both of them. I hope Apple fixes this problem.

    Doesn't Work

    • Written by from Reston

I have a Panasonic Lumix (DMC-ZS6), and the camera connection kit doesn't work at all for me. Nothing happens when I insert the SD card, and nothing happens when I directly connect the camera. Running IOS 4.3 on an iPad2. Super disappointed.

    No joy

    • Written by from Grayland

I see lots of posts that say this worked great, but I tried to import photos to my iPad2 from an SD card and nothing happened. The instructions say just to plug in the adapter and insert the SD card and there you go, photos. For me....nothing.

Image Number is not saved when photos are downloaded to iPad

    • Written by from PLACENTIA

Since the image number is not kept when photos are downloaded, this and iPhoto become useless for editing photos to be used on other devices. Apple Store says, "It was not developed for serious photographers." Why not? Please fix in updates.

    What?

    • Written by from EAGAN

I just bought the camera connection kit and plugged it in as described in the instructions. A message came on the iPad screen indicating there was not enough power. This is a fully powered iPad. Not indicating there isn't enough space.....very confused and about to turn around and return the dumb thing.

    Not worth it

    • Written by from McHenry

I was hoping to be able to use this for a jump drive (Memory stick, Thumb drive whatevever you like to call it) so that I could put movies on it and take them with me as I travel a lot for work and don't want to have to take my computer with me as well. Jumb drives don't work, and if the memory card isn't formated for a camera (used in a camera) it won't read the card. This is the first Apple product I am truly dissapointed with. I guess I'll have to make sure I have the movies I want with me, iCloud only has 5gb of free storage and I don't feel like paying yearly for more, unless I have no other option...

Will not work with Ipad 3

I bought this for my Ipad2 and used it one time and it worked. I just tried to use it to upload images from a SD card and absolutely nothing happens. I called Apple for help but got none. Sorry I bought it.

USB device uses too much power error message

    • Written by from North Venice

Used connection kit with no problems with old Sony cybershot and ipad2. Upgraded to Sony cybershot dsc-hx9v and now get error message. Can't connect to a power source or chain USB since camera battery charger only holds battery so no way to connect to power. Can't find anything that says this camera isn't compatible. Disappointed since use iPad to download pix on vacation. Now can't do it anymore. Don't understand why newer camera would cause problems when older one didn't .Useless to me now.

    Worthless

    • Written by from Cantonment

Neither the USB or SD connectors work with my or my wife's iPad2. The SD connector isn't recognized at all and when I tried to connect a flash drive using the USB connector I got a prompt that said the device used too much power and couldn't be supported. Total waste of money. Would give it zero stars if that were possible.

    Ultra 64gb not compatible

    • Written by from Kinnelon

Ipad 3 is useless, I use a gopro 3 for video and the ipad 3 cannot read a 64gb micro SDXC disk from Sandisk. Apple get your so called great company together and provide an update.

    Wished it worked!!

    • Written by from Melbourne

One of the best things I used to love about apple products was how simple things just worked. I now have a camera connection kit that used to work on my 3rd gen IPad, but now doesn't because it is not a recognised accessory!!

    Not Happy!
