    Simple and Elegant

I know it's just a battery charger, but the build quality is nice. I like the fact you can use your laptop cord to plug in. With a Magic Mouse, wireless keyboard and trackpad the six batteries are handy. Silly not to have one.

    Great battery charger

    • Written by from waterford

The Apple battery charger is magnificent for a number of reasons :
    1. It's small and very easily portable
    2. The Batteries it comes with have a 10 year lifespan -double the industry standard!
3.It comes with 6 batteries, while most battery chargers will only come with 4 AA batteries.
    4. The packaging is minimal - great for the environment and make the box smaller.
    5. The battery compartment is magnetic- prevents batteries from slipping out if they're not completely in the charger.
    6. It can charge one battery if you only need to charge one battery- most battery chargers will only charge pairs of batteries together.

The only problem is that it only charges AA batteries. I wish Apple made an adapter so that the Apple Battery charger could be used to charge AAA batteries.

Finally Apple Mouse can ROCK with these ;-)

    • Written by from Waterford

I've been quite confused before ordering these, but they make the difference for Apple things at least. Now my Apple Mouse is thriving and power levels are dropping very slowly - so I guess it's not the mouse that drains most energy, but the common batteries tend to drain themselves pretty quickly (I've tried common alkalines and basic rechargeables and both of them lasted very shortly - a week or two).
I would recommend these for any Apple Mouse you have, it will be worth it - my power level is dropping like 0.5%-1% per day, so I am expecting at least 3 months for the first pair...

    New charger

    • Written by from Greenford

Bought the charger today, fitted in two of the batteries to charge, amber light kept flashing to say something is wrong..... great start!! tried again and again and eventually the light stayed amber.. same thing happened with the remaining four batteries amber light flash's to indicate a fault, anyway fitted two in my keyboard and two in the mouse the remaining two will be for the magic trackpad.

Keyboard shows 89% charge mouse shows 86% now just have to wait and see how long they last, at least I won't have to buy some more AA's for a while...

    Simple, compact, and fairly priced

    • Written by from Moraga

The purchase price should include eight, rather than six, rechargeable batteries.

It is a compact charger and could use a carrying case which would cost a few mere dimes maximum.

    Hence, FOUR stars.

Nice charger, doesn't come with enough batteries

    • Written by from Fort Myers

The idea is great. Have batteries for you keyboard, mouse and extra for when they run down. But, apple keyboard takes 3 batteries, magic mouse takes 2, leaving only one extra. ( comes with 6) What good does one extra battery do? The charger itself is small and nicely designed.

    No Power

These batteries don't fully charge even when left in charger overnight. I haven't gotten more than 79% value for my mouse. Also, in three days my mouse went down to 47%. Is this really Eco friendly?

    Great piece of kit!

    • Written by from Dublin

Don't let the negative reviews to put you off!

After reading other reviews I learned that I can't expect to see the battery level of those to be 100% ( I got 85% )
One month later the Keyboard is down to 43% and Mouse is down to 46%, which I think is great considering that I'm working on my iMac on average about 7 hours each day.
I think it's very close if not the same as what I've got out of the original batteries that came with the Mac.

    Apple Battery Charger

    • Written by from Halifax

The Apple Battery Charger works as expected my gripe is with the batteries. They don't seem to work like Eneloops which hold most of their charge for up to a year, the Apple batteries seem to self-discharge. I fully charged them when I first got them but when I went to use the batteries they were at 60% after a couple of weeks.

    So far so good

    • Written by from Carmel

Have had the charger for a day now. Everything seems to be working great. Batteries charging to 100% power with no problem. Battery percentage in tackpad have not changed since charged batteries installed. Everything seems to be in order.. All and all a fast little charger.

Horrible. Period. Purchase 4 mos ago, just tried to charge the batts.fail

    • Written by from Clayton

I bought this charger with my trackpad a few months ago because I had a gift card. The included batteries in my wireless keyboard just started to give out today all of a sudden. Not sure why since the last time I used the keyboard it was showing 87%, today it was down to 10% somehow. Anyway, I opened the charger box which incluced 6 batteries. Two were shrink wrapped and two were already in the charger, so I plugged it in straight away fresh out the box. Blinking orange. Manual says batteries are either not seated correctly in charger or defective, etc... reseated the batteries 3 times..nothing.

This is pure garbage. Not what I expect from Apple.

    Great, Reliable.

I bought a set for myself and will be purchasing more for friends as gifts. I only wish they would sell additional batteries separately so that I could run everything I own off of them!

    Simply Amazing!

    • Written by from Bangalore

Not only that this batteries charge much faster than others, it also has an indicator light which turns green once fully charged. Not many Ni-Mh chargers I know could possibly do that. About the batteries- Even after the fact that they have a lower mAh rating compared to other ones in the market(2300mAh), I could shoot upto 250 photos on my canon 10x zoom powershot with most photos shot with the flash. Now thats what I call as performance! Way to go Apple!

Doesn't charge two batteries at the same time anymore

    • Written by from Ontario

I bought mine with my Magic Trackpad and charged up all my batteries back then. Now that the batteries supplied with the trackpad are low, I figured I'd top off my rechargeables and stick a pair in.

…as it turns out, I can't put any pair of Apple-supplied batteries into my charger without getting the blinking orange light, and some batteries appear to prefer one charging slot over another.

    Batteries never fully charge

    • Written by from Singapore

Batteries never recharge to their maximum or don't recharge at all, despite the light going from orange to green. Very poor.

These chargers are a total joke! Mine won't even work...

    • Written by from Orange

I tried charging all 6 included batteries and also my brand new magic trackpad's batteries since they were dead... So, with 8 batteries havent charged once. Looks like I should switch back to Alkaline batteries since THEY AT LEAST WORK! Dont even bother for this thing.

    Label batteries in pairs

    • Written by from Webster

Love this product. I use them for the wireless keyboard, trackpad. I bought another set to use for my Nikon SB-900 camera flash unit. They're amazing for that application.

Labeling batteries in pairs will make them last longer, as they will have the same amount and relative number of charges and use cycles.
