    Gets hot....

    • Written by from Marietta

The form is nice but doesn't seem to charge any quicker or hold the charge longer than my Panasonic rechargeables. And the charger can get very warm when it's in use.

Seems you're paying for form over content! And the brand, of course.

Not a full charge but good enough

    • Written by from Pittsburgh

I understand that people have been complaining about not getting a full charge out of these batteries. Understandable. When I charged them I got about 80% of a full charge. Also they seem to discharge fairly quickly (Lost 5% of a charge in half a day). We'll see how they last over time, but they are good enough for now, considering I can recharge them and don't have to throw them away.

Far better able to keep a charge than those NiCads on the hardware store market.

    New charger

    • Written by from Greenford

Bought the charger today, fitted in two of the batteries to charge, amber light kept flashing to say something is wrong..... great start!! tried again and again and eventually the light stayed amber.. same thing happened with the remaining four batteries amber light flash's to indicate a fault, anyway fitted two in my keyboard and two in the mouse the remaining two will be for the magic trackpad.

Keyboard shows 89% charge mouse shows 86% now just have to wait and see how long they last, at least I won't have to buy some more AA's for a while...

Doesn't charge two batteries at the same time anymore

    • Written by from Ontario

I bought mine with my Magic Trackpad and charged up all my batteries back then. Now that the batteries supplied with the trackpad are low, I figured I'd top off my rechargeables and stick a pair in.

…as it turns out, I can't put any pair of Apple-supplied batteries into my charger without getting the blinking orange light, and some batteries appear to prefer one charging slot over another.

    Not enough of them

    • Written by from Oregon City

Got two of them to support all the batter-powered Mac accessories we have. The only problem I've had is that between them they provide 6 sets of batteries and that is not enough of them. I'm gonna have to order another one.

    Compact Charger

    • Written by from Bloomington

This charger works with two 1.2V AA batteries. It is elegant and compact, the plug slides off to connect to a travel adapter or cord from a laptop charger. Easy to carry in a laptop bag. It is all color coordinated with your other Apple products. The amber light flashes if there is an error; the batteries have to be seated perfectly in the charger or the light will flash. This is the only drawback. It is far superior to other AA chargers I have purchased in the past.

    So far so good

    • Written by from Carmel

Have had the charger for a day now. Everything seems to be working great. Batteries charging to 100% power with no problem. Battery percentage in tackpad have not changed since charged batteries installed. Everything seems to be in order.. All and all a fast little charger.

    love it

    • Written by from whittier

I absolutely love these batteries, sleek good looking good price point and a smart move to both go green and make another buck by apple. I have had the set since the week it came out and use the batteries for a multitude of tasks.
the only reason that I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because as of this point I can't find a way to buy more of apples batteries (note that I am saying more of their batteries, I understand you can buy generic but it would make good sense for apple to sell more of their own instead of expecting me to buy a whole other charger that I don't need or having me put a third party battery in their charger which they won't warranty down the line)

Sorry Apple. This product is off the mark.

    • Written by from Coconut Creek

Usually I give most Apple products a chance and usually love them. This product however, is a battery charger. Not rocket science.. but I hate to say that they got this little device all wrong. looks great but functionality is horrible. Never charges fully. Goes up to about 85% and then drains far too quickly. I get about triple the usage out of regular batteries. If you're looking for a good rechargeable battery charger. You might want to look somewhere else.

    Apple Battery Charger

    • Written by from Federal Way

I just got mine today! I'm pleased with it so-far; although, I thought it said the batteries would be charged and ready to goI

So I plugged it in with the two batteries in place as shipped and it gave me a red light. In about an hour it changed to green.

    I'm happy with it!

Convenient, but seem defective. Won't charge to 100%.

    • Written by from Springfield

I love the convenience of Apple rechargeable batteries, but they seem defective. The batteries are used between 2 of us at work. 1 Magic Mouse and 1 Mighty Mouse. 1st set of batteries wouldn't charge more than 50%. Apple sent a replacement that arrived the next day. These are slightly better, but when you check the battery level in your Bluetooth menu at the top it still reads about 80% full after a full 24 hour charge and after a charge when the green charge light turns off. We still use them because, aside from not getting a full charge, they work great.

    No problems yet.

    • Written by from Muncie

After reading a bunch of the lower-rated reviews, I was hesitant to buy this. Still, I knew it had to be better than the Canon battery charger I've been using, which throws a small spark every time I plug it in.

I've charged all 6 batteries and 4 of them are in my Magic Trackpad and wireless keyboard. The other 2 are resting in the charger. People had complained that these things didn't work out of the box or didn't show a full charge when put in their devices. Not the case here. They work just fine and show a full charge.

Better and more convenient than regular batteries!

    • Written by from SAN DIEGO

I like Apple Battery Charger and the rechargeable batteries that come with it. They are very convenient. The batteries included recharge well and last a while. The charger and batteries also have a quality look and feel. Unlike non-chargeable batteries, you don't have to constantly buy new batteries and throw away the discharged batteries. My experience with the Apple Battery Charger and accompanying batteries has been very favorable and I'm thinking of buying a second one to use around my home in other appliances.

    Great Product

    • Written by from Redlands

I've had this recharger for about nine months now. It does everything it promises to do. It's easy to use (I especially like that both batteries point the same way when they're in the charger), and the charged batteries are right there when you need them.

Some reviewers have complained that the rechargeable batteries don't show a 100% charge when you check the battery level on the mouse. The Apple FAQ explains that this is due to the voltage differences between standard batteries and the rechargeable batteries, and not a defect in the charger. The batteries are 100% charged when the charger shows "green". Furthermore, I think Apple has corrected this problem in one of the recent OS updates, because my rechargeable batteries now show 100% charge when you check the mouse. I recommend this product without reservation.

6 Batteries and a Charger for $29.99 is a great price for anyone that wants to get rechargeable battery pack. Others would cost more than this great deal.If you don't have these I recommend you to get them!

    Love it!

I have had this charger since the fall of 2010 and have found it to be reliable and a great asset for my all my electronic needs. It charges quite quickly and the compact design makes it easy to take with me on the road. There are some batteries that are not compatible with it, but I mostly use the batteries that came with it so that usually is not a problem. When the batteries that came with the charger eventually fail then I will make sure the batteries I buy to replace them are compatible with the charger. It does not take a degree to figure that out as some seem to suggest. Great product.

    Battery charger

    • Written by

This Apple product looks really good and the concept is cool. But, the real catch is when it comes to charging, all the 6 of the batteries need a very frequent charging as they get discharged too soon. The indicator turns green showing that the battery charge is full, but when I put them into my mouse and start using it shows 93%. As and when I use the batteries they get discharged soon without much long usage.
