    Very Dissapointed

    • Written by from Grand Forks

Who would have thought that in the 21st century a company like Apple couldn't make a decent battery charger. It sounds like a good investment for those of us with wireless keyboards and mice, but I have never had a battery of the charger after being charged for days that had an energy reading above 50%. I expected more from Apple, I'm not sure what other brands of battery chargers are out there but they're probably worth exploring. Don't let the Apple branding on this fool you, try another option.

    No Power

These batteries don't fully charge even when left in charger overnight. I haven't gotten more than 79% value for my mouse. Also, in three days my mouse went down to 47%. Is this really Eco friendly?

Horrible. Period. Purchase 4 mos ago, just tried to charge the batts.fail

    • Written by from Clayton

I bought this charger with my trackpad a few months ago because I had a gift card. The included batteries in my wireless keyboard just started to give out today all of a sudden. Not sure why since the last time I used the keyboard it was showing 87%, today it was down to 10% somehow. Anyway, I opened the charger box which incluced 6 batteries. Two were shrink wrapped and two were already in the charger, so I plugged it in straight away fresh out the box. Blinking orange. Manual says batteries are either not seated correctly in charger or defective, etc... reseated the batteries 3 times..nothing.

This is pure garbage. Not what I expect from Apple.

Doesn't charge two batteries at the same time anymore

    • Written by from Ontario

I bought mine with my Magic Trackpad and charged up all my batteries back then. Now that the batteries supplied with the trackpad are low, I figured I'd top off my rechargeables and stick a pair in.

…as it turns out, I can't put any pair of Apple-supplied batteries into my charger without getting the blinking orange light, and some batteries appear to prefer one charging slot over another.

    Batteries never fully charge

Batteries never recharge to their maximum or don't recharge at all, despite the light going from orange to green. Very poor.

These chargers are a total joke! Mine won't even work...

    • Written by from Orange

I tried charging all 6 included batteries and also my brand new magic trackpad's batteries since they were dead... So, with 8 batteries havent charged once. Looks like I should switch back to Alkaline batteries since THEY AT LEAST WORK! Dont even bother for this thing.

    Beautiful design. Terrible batteries.

    • Written by from BURBANK

Apple should be embarrassed and replace them with normal rechargeable batteries. Apple found the worst rechargeables in the World and put a shiny silver label on them for marketing. 80% when fully charged and Trackpad went down 10% in one day. I have absolutely no interest in recharging these batteries every week. Duracell batteries last more than six months on my keyboard (less with Trackpad). Apple? We are waiting for you to acknowledge and correct this defective product.

    bad batteries

    • Written by from Yorba Linda

Doesn't hold charge! I should have read more comments before i bought this.

My keyboard is at 73% fully charges and mouse was at 80%. I have a 2009 iMac and I use 3 AA batteries for my keyboard and 2 for my mouse. Since I Bought them yesterday, my mouse is now at 60% in one day and I didn't really use it that much. Got home around 4pm, charged them and it is now 10:45 the following day and its slowly dying!

The Only positive thing is there is no restocking fee! Im returning them and trying duracell or something.

    Not Worth Using

The alkaline batteries that came with my track pad lasted two months. I can't get the batteries that come with this package to last more than four days in the same device with the same usage habits!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT

    • Written by from Edgewater

Positive: looks good, charges fast, sleek design and small.
Negative: you never get 100% charge on the batteries, on average a fully charged battery shows on mouse around 80%, batteries drain very fast.
A charger with good batteries doesn't need to look good, first it should be able to perform its main task and this one is not even close of doing it.
Do not spend your money on this charger.

    Does not hold a charge

    • Written by from Seattle

Overall ratings seem high for this product, so perhaps the pack I received is faulty, but I experience significant battery drain when the batteries are sitting unused. I use 2 batteries in an Apple wireless mouse, 2 batteries in an Apple wireless keyboard and keep the last 2 charged and on hand to swap out with the first wireless device that goes down. The unused batteries went down from (presumably) 100% to 55% from the time they were charged to when they were swapped with my mouse (about a week's time). Either (1) the charger is indicating a full charge when it is actually incomplete or (2) the batteries do not hold a charge when sitting unused. Either way, from my experience, I could not recommend these over other rechargeables.

I like the design and thought it's from Apple, must be good. But it doesn't charges the batteries full, 70% is the maximum I get. Disappointing, the charger should look good AND charge.

all 6 batteries when used in my Magic mouse or wireless keyboard lose the bluetooth connection and only ever read 72% as max charge, also have repeatable issues with batteries not seating correctly in the charger - cheap product - can't say I recommend it.

    Not Good

    • Written by from Stamford

This is not a good product from Apple, I had to return it because the batteries drain really fast on the wireless keyboard and also registered only 45% on a full charge (green light), on the magic mouse it registered 85%... I get my Apple stuff from best buy because they have a 30 day return policy not like the 15 days from the Apple store and also no restocking fee except for the iPhone ;)

Ok, I am starting to become a believer that mac is just another one of those nostalgic brands that thinks because it's an apple product it over exceeds everyone else's product line... not in this case with their batteries. Just charged first pair of batteries with a maximum charge of 63%... just over half.. at this rate I will be charging batteries every other day. Thank you apple, while the product design is oh so mac savy, the functionality doesn't seem to have any relation to the "cool" design of this product.

I'm very disappointed in apple lately....

    Battery Charger.

    • Written by from Richmond

All six batteries that came with the charger were not ready to use and all six had to receive a full charge.
Charger unit is very neat design.
No idea yet as to how long the batteries will last or how long they will hold their charge on the self.

I got this product yesterday and after a full 7 hour charge i could only charge the battery to 85%. I went back to the apple store and got a new replacement. I still have the same problem with the new piece and hence getting ready to return this one tomorrow.
