    Excellent peformance and price !

    • Written by from Vancouver

Along with 6 more NiMh batteries supplied with this unit, it seemed to breathe new life into some older Ni-Mh 'AA' batteries I had lying around. Charges quickly with an informative, 3 color LED indicator.

    Good Value for the money!

    Great battery charger

    • Written by from waterford

The Apple battery charger is magnificent for a number of reasons :
    1. It's small and very easily portable
    2. The Batteries it comes with have a 10 year lifespan -double the industry standard!
3.It comes with 6 batteries, while most battery chargers will only come with 4 AA batteries.
    4. The packaging is minimal - great for the environment and make the box smaller.
    5. The battery compartment is magnetic- prevents batteries from slipping out if they're not completely in the charger.
    6. It can charge one battery if you only need to charge one battery- most battery chargers will only charge pairs of batteries together.

The only problem is that it only charges AA batteries. I wish Apple made an adapter so that the Apple Battery charger could be used to charge AAA batteries.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT

    • Written by from Edgewater

Positive: looks good, charges fast, sleek design and small.
Negative: you never get 100% charge on the batteries, on average a fully charged battery shows on mouse around 80%, batteries drain very fast.
A charger with good batteries doesn't need to look good, first it should be able to perform its main task and this one is not even close of doing it.
Do not spend your money on this charger.

    Not Worth Using

    • Written by from KAILUA KONA

The alkaline batteries that came with my track pad lasted two months. I can't get the batteries that come with this package to last more than four days in the same device with the same usage habits!

Today after observing blinking amber, I took an old tooth brush and scrubbed the electrodes. The device worked well after that.

Best Batteries (and charger) I Have Had

    • Written by from Tuluá

I bought this charger with 6 batteries, and started using one pair of them (after charging them for a few hours).

That was about 2 months ago, and I have NOT charged the batteries since then (I use them in my bluetooth keyboard).

This batteries looks like they last forever :P

    Pretty recommended.

    Useful charger!

    • Written by from Calabasas

Charger is small and compact, and can charge one or two batteries at once. I will admit, sometimes the batteries that come with it are faulty, but the actual charger is great! If you get faulty batteries, go buy some other rechargeable ones.

Strangely, my magic mouse shows it's at 100%, when most people have claimed that it goes up to 82% or around there. So far, only two batteries are being used, so I'm not sure if the others will work, but so far, it seems to look like it'll all work out. Thanks Apple.

Just works but requires some care charging non-Apple batteries

    • Written by from Norfolk

I've found my new charger to work well but some technique is required. Particularly, both batteries must be the same type or the charger will get confused and won't charge them. Once past this hurdle, the charger works as advertised.

Some have complained that gadgets show less than full charge with NiH batteries. This is normal. Nickel hydride, lithium, and alkaline batteries have different characteristic voltages. Gadgets estimate capacity from voltage so each of the three will show different initial capacity. NIH will show lower than alkaline. This is normal. Nothing is wrong with charger or battery.

    Worth The Money

    • Written by from Thornton

I bought the Apple Battery Charger a few months ago and have been very pleased with the performance.

I use the batteries in my Magic Pad and Magic Mouse and the charge lasts a good 3 -4 weeks before needing a charge. I use my Magic Mouse with my MacBook Pro on a daily basis and I am truly surprised at the length of time between charges.

The only issue I have is that the Apple does not see the batteries separately. Reading the Questions & Answers for the product, any good quality NiMH rechargeable batteries will work. Instead of wasting money with trial and error, I purchased a second Battery Charger. Glad I did as I now have at least 8 batteries always ready to use.

    All chrome and no guts

    • Written by from auckland

I like Apple jiggers but this is craap. I let the batteries charge until the green light went out & then some. Mouse preferences said 100% charge but with normal use they went flat much quicker than alkaline and NiCads I have used. This was experienced with each of the 3 pairs even after numerous cycles. Changed to eneloop with great results. Stick to computers Mr Apple. (1 * only because its pretty.)

Finally Apple Mouse can ROCK with these ;-)

    • Written by from Waterford

I've been quite confused before ordering these, but they make the difference for Apple things at least. Now my Apple Mouse is thriving and power levels are dropping very slowly - so I guess it's not the mouse that drains most energy, but the common batteries tend to drain themselves pretty quickly (I've tried common alkalines and basic rechargeables and both of them lasted very shortly - a week or two).
I would recommend these for any Apple Mouse you have, it will be worth it - my power level is dropping like 0.5%-1% per day, so I am expecting at least 3 months for the first pair...

    A Must-Have for iMac Users

    • Written by from River Ridge

If you have (or are purchasing) an iMac, then you should absolutely get this battery charger. It pays for itself quickly and many times over... once I forgot mine at a friend's house and was reminded how painful it is to shell out for AA's at the nearby convenience store.

Sleek, simple, straightforward, and inexpensive. What more can you ask for?

    Works as described.

    • Written by from Fort worth

You do not have to use the batteries in only Apple products. They are work perfectly fine in my non-Apple branded computer mice and they keep a charge for quite a while. Compared to other AA batter charger packaged deals, this one is actually quite competitive in price. It serves its function well, so I recommend this product.

    Poor Charge

    • Written by from Cottonwood

Like others I thought this was a good idea. Not. It does show 100% charge, but not for long. I've had the iMac + charger & batteries since early December and have had to change the mouse 4 times. The keyboard is still at about 35%. The 4th time I changed batteries on the mouse I used Duracell regular batteries and after 3 days it still 100%. Apple batteries would be about 80%. I'll wait to change the keyboard until it's lower to see if the regular batteries will be better. This is only good if you run out of regular batteries, at least it's a backup.

Charger works, batteries are nearly useless!

    • Written by from Lakeside

The charger fills the batteries in just a couple hours, the problem is that just letting them sit on the counter they loose charge in just a couple days. In the mouse mine have lost up to 30% charge in one day just by sitting, even turned off. Maybe I just got six bad batteries, but I doubt it. I'd recommend looking for better batteries instead.

These batteries don't fully charge even when left in charger overnight. I haven't gotten more than 79% value for my mouse. Also, in three days my mouse went down to 47%. Is this really Eco friendly?
