    Same Batteries=2 months

I've been testing the battery life, initially I would only get 2 weeks out of them with daily usage in my magic mouse and apple wireless keyboard. Now after a few charges I just got 2 months out of the mouse and a little over a month out of the keyboard and I must say i use them both with my MBP and my iPad often

    Good batteries, weird number

It's odd that this charger comes with six batteries, when the Magic Mouse requires two batteries, and some models of the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard require three. This leaves me with one spare battery in the package, meaning I can't have a pair charged and ready to go for when my mouse or keyboard dies.

This is silly, Apple! Include eight or nine.

    I had High Hopes but was Let Down . . . :(

I really hoped that I would get a reliable battery charger from Apple but it failed after only a few charges. It is still under Warranty but what a hassle to have to send it back.
First of all it doesn't work well with ALL brands. I have 4 different brands and some flash orange ~ meaning not charging/not compatible?
Then when I went to charge the Apple batteries that came with it and found only one side of the charger works. Good thing I have a battery tester so I can figure out which battery has a charge.
Nice design, very compact but not the Quality I expected. :(

I love the feature my only regret is they don't offer more batteries you can purchase in addition to the set. it works great and I love them. I use them for my magic mouse and other things I have around the house.

They charge very quickly, and I love the light on the charger lets you know from afar if its good to go.

    NOT Junk!

Well I sashayed down to the Apple Store today and bought this. It does what it's supposed to, takes up practically no room unlike most other chargers out there that take up half the desk, and just holding it I can feel the quality. You can tell it's definitely not junk. Even the batteries that come with it are nice and elegantly designed. And the charge lasts a LONG time to boot! Where else can you buy beautiful batteries but at Apple?! I recommend this thing for sure!

    Apple Battery Charger

Works good. Batteries seem to last several months in Keyboard and Mouse, and I use the computer at work all day. I do not turn off the mouse and keyboard at night, I just put the computer to sleep.

Pro: batteries hold charge for quite awhile when not in device, so are ready to use. Attractive and small charger. Compact packaging.

Cons: charger should hold 4 batteries at a time and you should get 8 batteries so you can use 4 and charge 4. Other chargers I have, that are similar, the lights flash when charging, when they are charged lights stop flashing. This one the light turns amber to green when finished charging. I am color blind so can't tell when it turns to green. Or if it is green and they are charged when I put them in.

This is great because you can put the batteries in the thing and plug the thing in and it charges them so you don't have to buy new batteries. Wish they gave you more batteries because I put them in my remote and I have other things that need batteries as well and I don't want to switch them out every time all of the other things die, because I've noticed they die more frequently than the remote but they don't give you many batteries with the thing and I wish they did because I could use more batteries.

Not a full charge but good enough

    • Written by from Pittsburgh

18 of 19 people found this useful

I understand that people have been complaining about not getting a full charge out of these batteries. Understandable. When I charged them I got about 80% of a full charge. Also they seem to discharge fairly quickly (Lost 5% of a charge in half a day). We'll see how they last over time, but they are good enough for now, considering I can recharge them and don't have to throw them away.

Recharge Batteries and Regular Batteries not the same

    • Written by from Mayer

Most of the reviews I read all seem to say they don't get a full charge, but you are. Rechargeable AA batteries have 1.2 Volts and Regular AA's have 1.5 Volts. That is why they never will show a full charge on the meter.

    Batteries never fully recharge

    • Written by from Milwaukie

I seem to be having the same problem that many others are having with this product.

I've been using my Apple Battery Charger for 3 months, have had to recharge the batteries many times, and they never recharge to more than 75%. Yesterday I recharged the mouse batteries until the light turned green (it took a few hours), and today I got the little warning window that my mouse batteries are LOW. It's showing 10% power today after doing a full recharge yesterday.

I'm really disappointed in this product. Seems like a good idea but in reality, it's just not practical to have to recharge these batteries as often as this product requires.

    Poor Charge

    • Written by from Cottonwood

39 of 56 people found this useful

Like others I thought this was a good idea. Not. It does show 100% charge, but not for long. I've had the iMac + charger & batteries since early December and have had to change the mouse 4 times. The keyboard is still at about 35%. The 4th time I changed batteries on the mouse I used Duracell regular batteries and after 3 days it still 100%. Apple batteries would be about 80%. I'll wait to change the keyboard until it's lower to see if the regular batteries will be better. This is only good if you run out of regular batteries, at least it's a backup.

    Battery charger

This Apple product looks really good and the concept is cool. But, the real catch is when it comes to charging, all the 6 of the batteries need a very frequent charging as they get discharged too soon. The indicator turns green showing that the battery charge is full, but when I put them into my mouse and start using it shows 93%. As and when I use the batteries they get discharged soon without much long usage.

    Light would not stop blinking

I purchased this charger from the apple store because I have a wireless mouse. However, only one set of batteries would fully charge. When the other batteries were placed in the charger, the light would not stop blinking and they would not charge.

This product is visually elegant, but not up to Apple quality standards. I was able to return the charger to the store however, I really wish that it had worked.
