Reviews for Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adaptor (for MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro)

I have had three power adaptors now and its no good I will be on my 4th time at £65 a time it's crazy. Apple please please do something about it, I love the gear but you are costing me more for something that is just not fit for purpose. I would love to give more of a hight star rating so help us Apple lovers.

I've had my Mac Book Pro for 1 yr and I'm having to replace for ($79) a power cord. Please, this is so out of sync with the Apple mystic of quality. I hate feeling ripped off. Apparently based on many negative reviews similar to mine this is a serious problem. Through normal use and much care, this did not prevent this cord from failing. I want my money back and don't feel I should have to replace this piece of trash.

when they work they are great. I use the extension cord piece that plugs into the charger so I cannot comment on how the physical charger is too heavy to hang from an outlet as others have noted.

My problem is that I am on my way to replace my second charger, this will be my third charger. The last one just stopped charging and the light would not come on in the part that attaches to the Macbook Pro.

The charger that went bad today, has a pin that will not stay up. If I smack the connector the pin will pop up but then it stays down after plugging into the computer and I get no light at all: no charging.

I love Apple. I love my MBP and my iPhone but these power cords are ridiculous. I've had to replace 2 in one year. And this last one only lasted four months...the least Apple could do is replace it for free.

This is a piece of junk. It doesn't stay in the plug. It is so heavy it falls out of the electrical outlet. Does anyone else have difficulty with this staying in the wall plug? It is a pain because this is what powers my computer. Is there another cord that works with the Macbook?

I've had my mac book pro for about 2 years now and I've had to replace my charger TWICE, I've taken pretty good care with both my chargers but they just seem to die every year.

There's a reason why it's rated so low. It fails frequently and is WAY overpriced! I'm so upset that I'm going to buy a cheap windows laptop. Shame on apple for putting out such junk!!!!

I've been a Mac person since 2002 and have owned iPods, iPads, laptops, Mac Minis, Apple TV, and various other products. These adapters are without a doubt the worst product that Apple offers.
I've had my current laptop since 2009, and I am online now to by my SIXTH! power adapter for it. The first one lasted about two years, but since then it's been a maximum of 6 months and a minimum of about 30 days.
If we want to continue using the computers, what choice to we have but to continue buying this horrible product?

REALLY???? Absolutely no visible flaws on the wire, connector, or adapter, and it just stopped working TWO MONTHS after I purchased it. And I don't use it every day. This is my second power adapter as the wire on my first one frayed where it connects to the adapter from being wound up for travel. Really angry that I need to keep buying disposable power cords at $80 a pop in order to use my computer.
