Mac chargers are very expensive and break so easily! The wires feeding into the computer clip are ultra prone to getting damaged. I have replaced my cord several times with several models and no matter how careful I am, it's life span is woefully disappointing. For the price, it should be far better. At the very least you should be able to replace only the section prone to damage and not the whole cord!

I replace this one for my MBP 13" about once every year. That money could be used on upgrading my laptop but instead I have to waste it on a poorly made product. It tends to fray right at the base of the connector and eventually stops working (probably not even safe to use at that point). Very annoyed. I'm only writing this because I just noticed my current one is starting to fray. Purchased last February.

Otherwise it does it's job. It charges.

I have a 2 year old Macbook Pro and am about to need my 3rd power cord. They either stop working or on my latest cord, the rubber coating of the cord just behind the actual connector has split open. It is now being held together with a rubber band and tape. I love my Macbook Pro but the power cord is junk, especially for the price. I spend 2K on a laptop and all Apple can come up with are junk power cords that are over-priced and don't last? Ridiculous!

I dont even want to give them 1 full star. This charger is horrible. I have had my Mac pro for only more than 2 years, and I have changed 3 chargers. I was lucky enough to get replacements for free since I was still under warranty. But looking at this product's life span, I doubt this current charger will last long. And I'll be forced to spent $80 on this awful product!
Seriously Apple, your product is supposed to be superior, dont leave me with this impression that you are trying to steal some more money from customer by offering this cheap/low quality charger!

P/S: a little warning for Mac users out there, my friend's charger lasted much longer than mine (3 years- SURpRISE!) but died eventually (no surprise!) She ordered 2 chargers off ebay,and they all worked improperly, died within a month. Don't ever order from Ebay, its a waste of time and money. We are in such a dilemma, the only option she has now is ordering another charger from Apple.. sad!

I was hoping Macbook wouldn't cause too much trouble for me, but I was wrong. In less than two years I repaired the computer twice and costed almost 100 bucks. Now, the adapter wire is suddenly broken and I am going on a travel next week. Plus, apple is charging toooooo much on accessories. Maybe that's why the parts are not durable.

I am using macbook since one year and this is my 3rd adapter. The design is not good and the wire get damage with time though i tried to make it safe and again this adapter last for one more month from previous adapter.

This is literally my third one and i've only had my computer for four years. They are terrible quality and terribly overpriced.

This is my third power adaptor. Poorly designed. I would not buy it, but need it for my computer. Apple needs to redesign this product.

I bought a 13" Macbook Pro 2 years back. Unfortunately, it's my 2nd adapter that has stop functioning due to some reason ( I'm sure Apple service people would find some reason to say that they can not cover this under warranty).

Extremely frustrated with the poor quality of their adapter and Apple's excuses to acknowledge that their adapter is a big design failure !!
