    Works great!

    • Written by from Altadena

Got this to stream music to an old speaker system. It works great. Set up took less than a min, plus it extends the range of our wireless network.

Would only get this if you are looking to expand your network, not if you wanted to use it as your main router. Get the Airport Extreme for that.

    FANTASTIC!

    • Written by from Tunkhannock

This router replaced my Belkin router that I only had for a few months. It would always drop its connection and Airplay would never work so I had to keep unplugging it to restart it. With Apples AirPort Express I no longer have these problems. My Internet is always connected and Airplay is always there when I need it. Thanks Apple!

    Apple and HP... Lovely combo...

    • Written by from Braselton

I'm not one to write reviews but this is the best wireless station you can buy! The AirPlay is sooo sweet with the right set of 3.5mm jack speakers. I got the Print feature to work using HP ePrint app ( I have an older Photosmart C4280). The app detected the printer. Transferring files to this app from Pages or accessing documents through the supported cloud drives is a breeze! Hit the print button and its good to go! Thank you Apple!

Changed my life. I'm not joking.

    • Written by from Hobart

I looked at Bluetooth audio adapters for a week before I realised that Apple made something.
Now we are streaming the best underground tunes through Itunes to the old stereo and it has made a huge difference to our day to day life.
If your interested in the sound quality - don't get a bluetooth adapter. Get this.
It does not do everything I wanted it to though. If you want to maximise this unit you need the AP Extreme as well.
I wanted to extend my existing Dlink routers range. It is not possible to do this with 3rd party routers anymore (as discussed in the forums).
    Still a wicked unit though.
BTW: Quite hard to set up with a 3rd party router. You may need to download the old version of the Airport Utility to get access to the settings you need such as WEP40.

    Airport Express

    • Written by from SAN JOSE

Just purchased this yesterday to extend my wifi range for Apple TV in family room, and it WORKS LIKE A CHARM! Streamed all movies and content from internet connection through Comcast and had no stops or pauses playing them. It truly did extend my signal further out to the other end of the house, thank you Apple!

Using as the Ethernet source to my HTR-4065 Yamaha

    • Written by from Vancouver

Just got a new 5.1 channel Yamaha receiver from Costco. It has AirPlay but only an ethernet port. I used the AirPort Express to wirelessly connect to my existing Linksys WRT400N dual band wireless router. The AirPort Utility walked me through the process although some of the questions the wizard asked me took some time to figure out and I did reset the unit to factory defaults a couple of times because I messed it up. Now the soft green light is on and my Yamaha stereo is happy. The AirPlay feature on my iPhone actally wakes the receiver up from standby and out comes music. Too cool

Bought this after reading some posts online. Wanted to extend my network (airport extreme). It was ridiculously easy to setup. Plugged it in, connected my iPad, settings ->wifi, entered my network password and that's it. Works great.

    Great addition to AirPort Extreme

    • Written by from Birmingham

I've extended my wireless AirPort Extreme network with Airport Express. Setup is simple, signal strength is great and response time is outstanding. The Extreme is connected to a high speed cable modem in an upstairs study and the express is placed in a downstairs family room. I'm accessing the Internet via the Express with an iPad, a laptop, an iPhone, and a Blu Ray player and have experienced no problems whatsoever.

    So good!

    • Written by from Los Angeles

I had two previous airport express base stations. One started on fire internally and the other just didn't last. I spent the last 3 years switching routers and just came back to this one. Yes it is more expensive than comparable models but the set up is so easy. AirPlay and wifi printing are awesome. Plus I can configure 100% wirelessly. The others required me to configure first by direct connect and then wireless connection. Oh and the range and speed are so much better. I just hope this one doesn't burn and lasts.

Excellent wi-fi connection. Very happy with this purchase. Excellent customer service prior to purchase. Another home run for Apple.

No Doubt this is an upgrade from thePrior express models! set up took less then 2 minutes. Good signal even on my front porch & Back Yard. Guest feature is a plus. Only wished I could add a USB networked flash drive from the USB port.

I ordered this product last Friday, and it arrived today, thought it was late due to delays because of Hurricane Sandy. Got it set up in about 10 minutes, and its great! I have my MacBook Pro hooked up, and am streaming iTunes to it via AirPlay. The performance of it is great!

    Cheap WIFI

    • Written by from Seattle

My Dad has an EMac computer hooked up directly to a cable modem. By spending a hundred dollars I now am able to use fast WIFI at his home. I simply ran his cable into the WAN port and hooked an old Ethernet CAble I had out the LAN to his machine, nothing changed for him, but his house now has password protected WIFI for his guests to use during visits.
Used my MAC Book Pro to set it up, took all of 3 minutes, couldn't have been easier.
    Fast, Simple and Cheap!
