    Not worth $29.00

    • Written by from Seattle

No moisture protection- I-pod had condensation on it after every workout.

No button sensitivity with the clear plastic cover. I-pod was often unresponsive thru the plastic. Also, the plastic wore out after a few months and eventually came completely off, which made the band useless. The I-pod doesn't stay in the band well without the plastic cover.

I would have expected to pay $5.00 the way this band held up.

    negative star

    • Written by from Richmondville

The plastic cover is so stiff. selecting a tune was a major project. Once I had made my selection, controlling volume or changing the selection on the go was virtually impossible. I just "fixed" it by cutting away most of the plastic. Doesn't anyone test these things? ( I had one for my first nano which worked great.)

    Are you kidding?

We got the iPod nano for our colleague for her wedding. She's an avid runner, so we got the armband to go with it. But, if you stick the iPod inside the pouch, the hole where the cable for the ear phones is supposed to go through is on the opposite side of the actual plugin for the cable on the iPod. How on earch does this make sense? It's really frustrating because we thought we were getting her this great gift and now she's stuck with a device she can't actually use.

    Overpriced, but wonderful!

    • Written by from EMMAUS

I recently started working out intensely at the gym and purchased this armband. While I admit that the white isn't very practical for aesthetics after a few wears, especially for females with lotions/makeup, i've found absolutely no problems with the armband at all. I've never experienced moisture getting though to my ipod, nor have i ever found it inconvenient to take my ipod out or put it in. PLUS, i can charge my ipod without taking it out of the armband because of how the ipod slides in. In all, a great buy, just overpriced.

Cheap, flimsy product. Can't believe I paid $30.

    • Written by from Palatine

This is a chintzy, cheap product. First, could they not give 1mm more of material so that I don't have to spend 5 minutes cramming my nano into it. I had to take the skin off the nano so that it would fit. Ridiculous. The plastic cover is cheap and gets bends easily, thanks to how hard it is to get the stupid nano into it. And even then, it doesn't fit well. Don't waste your money, if I could return it, I would, but I bent the heck out of the plastic cover thanks to how hard it is to get the nano into it. What a waste.

    Just ok

Pros: The armband itself is nice looking. It doesn't slide down when working out.

Cons: There is no way to lock or unlock your ipod unless you take it out of the case. Also, its really hard to move the wheel through the plastic. When you sweat the back of the ipod gets wet.

    Sweat problems

    • Written by from Minneapolis

As everyone else has been saying, this isn't a good arm band for running or exercise which causes you to sweat. The case absorbs the sweat from your body and pulls inside to rest on the nano. In addition, it reeks after about three uses. I used it all winter so it is fine for cold weather activity--provided you have the appropriate layers to absorb the sweat--but as soon as I broke out the tank top, its useful life was over.

    dirty deal...

    • Written by from San Francisco

I got this product in white a few months ago and thought it was beautiful: it fit my nano nicely, and I admit I liked the way it looked. It was a little large on my (small female) arm, but it's far better than most other cases on the market and is aesthetically in keeping with the ipod design. However, after sitting a month in a drawer at work - not exposed to heat, light, etc - it turned YELLOW(ish). It's not a stain, but there's nothing - not age, heat, or otherwise - that should have affected these materials so badly. So much for its good looks... and mine! This thing didn't even last as long as the technology it was meant for... a box of rubber bands from Office Max would have held up longer!

    Not good 4 runners

    • Written by from Flushing

I am a runner, 5-7miles, 5 times a wk at least. Not only did this armband allow sweat to get in, my ipod nano 4th generation shuts off after 1 hour of workout. It is ruined from this armband. also, the velcro does not connect properly anymore.

Won't protect your iPod from sweat!

    • Written by from Englewood

There are 4 things wrong with this product:
    1) It is NOT sweat-proof (After a good workout the back of my iPod has sweat all over it)
    2) The plastic interferes with your ability to use any of the controls accurately
    3) No access to the hold button
    4) It only comes in white and it gets dirty very quickly

The only reason I still use this armband is because I'm waiting for a new one and I don't want the iPod to get scratched in the meantime. I wish I could return this lousy product

    This is a great buy.

    • Written by from Regina

I've used this armband everyday for the last 2 years and never experienced an issue with it. The plastic doesn't interfere with any clickwheel functions. Sure, it gets sweaty but i've handwashed it and let it dry. The only alteration I performed was to clip the corner of the armband that sits over the lock button. It was well worth the money !

    Submarine with a screen door

    • Written by from Denver

That's the worth of this hunk 'o junk. You should be able to give it zero stars. Like most posters said below, it doesn't repel ANY sweat, it slips on the arm unless you pull it so tight you lose circulation, you can't access the lock button, and the clear plastic renders the wheel useless. It basically turns your Nano into a shuffle that is vulnerable to skipping and destruction (see sweat).

Difficult to use when you run!

    • Written by from Washington

While the armband does do the trick in keeping your iPod on your arm, the plastic layer that protects the wheel is so thick that the wheel isn't responsive when touched - which is frustrating if you're trying to change songs or volume mid-run. Also, you have to pull your iPod out of the band to unlock the lock button at the top, which is crazy since I generally keep my iPod in the armband locked between runs so it won't get hit in my bag and use up battery power. Or you can do what I did which was to try to unlock it from the outside of the band - this has resulted in the whole band splitting along the top seam. Finally, the color and material do not hold up on the smell/sweat test. Apple needs to seriously reconsider its running audience and redesign this armband!

    Arm Band NO Good!

    • Written by from Georgetown

This band is not moisture sensitive which caused my nano to quit working. After letting it dry out I still got a white screen. I then went to the troubleshooting section and followed the instructions. I finally got it to work after 3 download tries but then had lines in it, sound was bad (became very drawn out and volume was very inconsistent), pictures where murky. I went running again using the armband and it died.

The short of the long story is I had to send back the BRAND NEW GENERATION 5 NANO for repair. This is time I did not want to spend. I AM MAD!!!!

Plus I have to invest in a new armband or something to put it in while I exercise otherwise there is no need for this product! Why else would I have it if I can't even workout with it comfortably.

Save yourself some hassle DON'T BUY THIS ARMBAND!!!!
