I recently bought an external 27" monitor hooked up to my Macbook Air and found the non Apple mouse I was using rather inadequate. I bought the Magic Trackpad and absolutely love using it with the natural gestures etc. I'm even able to use it from my bed, thus turning the monitor etc into a 'home theatre' set up.

    Trackpad Awesome for Limited mobility

I love the Magic Trackpad. I am right handed, and my right hand has limited use and movement, and I find that the trackpad works awesome, since I can just use the two fingers that work well on my right hand instead of the whole hand to move the mouse.

Best Mac accessory I have ever owned!!!

As someone who has been using Apple products since 1985 or so it goes without saying I have used my share of Apple products. The Magic Trackpad is, by far, my favorite Mac accessory I have ever owned. I already use a MacBook Pro with multi touch of course running Mountain Lion for work so the gestures have long since become second nature. But when I purchased my brand new Quad Core i7 Mac Mini and was using my old Mighty Mouse (yes Mighty, not Magic) it was like stepping back in time and while my Mighty Mouse served me well for a long time I knew I needed the upgrade. Holy moly am I glad I did. For one the build of it, like everything Apple really, is just so solid and legit. The design is beautiful and simplistic, again like all things Apple and the responsiveness is just astounding. And again, I am someone who is certainly not new to the product. Truly the Magic Trackpad lives up to its name. Couple all of that with the excellent gestures built in to Mountain Lion and this is, hands down, my favorite Mac accessory ever. A+++. Thank you Apple for making my life better and easier once again.

I think I have fallen in love with my macbook again. After my trackpad started acting up, and I was too lazy to go to an apple store to get a check through the genius bar, I ordered the magic trackpad hoping it would be in the least a short-term solution.

Turns out, I love it even more!! Was easy to set up and use, essentially a slightly bigger version of the laptop's trackpad and iOS so I could seamlessly integrate the same preferences that I was already used to

THANKS APPLE for another one!! :)

I go back to Apple II's. Went to the Apple Store a couple of weeks ago with the intention of upgrading to a Magic Mouse. They suggested I give the Trackpad a try and said if I didn't like it I could bring it back in 14 days. With that said, I gave it a shot.

The first couple of days I was thinking about not if but when to return it. But...I finally figured out how to use it and now wouldn't live without one. The number of different gestures is amazing and makes so many things more convenient and it's actually quicker. After a couple of tweaks, what I had a hard time believing was that it works so well for the text editing that I do each day. I now use a lot more features of OS X 10 than ever before. I really didn't appreciate the new operating system or couldn't appreciate it without the Trackpad.

My desk setup allows the trackpad to lay absolutely flat and flush with my desktop which makes things even more comfortable for someone with a little arthritis showing up, much more comfortable for me than any mouse could ever be. Should have made that move long ago. With a 14 day trial give it a try. I think you will like it.

I wanted this trackpad, as I am not that into mouses, and also liked the multitouch gestures and wanted to use them for my desktop. Let me tell you, the trackpad is amazing, and if there is a gesture you don't like you can turn it off. It works beautifully with only one drawback so far, once and a while it will stall doing certain actions. So far the battery life has been amazing (much better than my wireless keyboard, the multitouch gestures, including the ability to look stuff up in the dictionary works seamlessly with the computer. Overall this is a great product for the money and if you want to use your multitouch gestures like the ones you use on the macbook on your desktop, get the track pad.

Large and very easy to use. I have the Magic Mouse also but really prefer the Trackpad. It's just as easy to use as the MacBook pad but HUGE in comparison. Looks great with the Bluetooth keyboard.

I have two of these now. One for my Mac Mini connected to my HDTV and one for my MacBook Air. I really can't say anything I don't like about the trackpad. I just love it!

It also works perfectly with my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (w/Jelly Bean). With that said, you would think it would also work with the iPad (iOS 6.1.2), but nope, it doesn't. Hey Apple, that's something to consider. I'll use the Tab 2 more now, especially in bed, so I don't have to reach up and touch the screen when reading or playing. :-)

I stumbled upon the Magic Trackpad at work as a co-worker had one on his desk. I tried it out and went out that afternoon and bought one as I had been looking to replace the terrible wireless mouse that came with my iMac. The Magic Trackpad is amazing! No more mousing over to the scroll bar and clicking to scroll. No need to use the back and forth buttons on the web browser to browse through web pages, the Magic Trackpad does all this and more with simple finger gestures. The Magic Trackpad is very well built and looks great. It really is an impressive piece of Apple engineering at a great price.

Won't go back to regular mouse

The litmus test of how useful this product is for me is when I forgot to bring it into the office (it's pretty expensive, and for the time being I only have one). I was therefore forced to use my regular mouse, and it was just cumbersome. Indeed, I found myself going to the laptop's trackpad even though the laptop was on a stand to serve as a secondary monitor.

In short, the feel of the trackpad, once set up properly, is perfect. If you like using the gestures on the Macbook trackpad, I think you'll like the magic trackpad even better.

Works on my 2007 MBP, which is a Macbook that was made before they put the trackpads stock on Apple mobile PCs. Makes the stock keyboard useless. Really fun to use. Great job on the engineering Apple once again.

I recently bought this item on Boxing Day and have had it for a couple of days now. Just had to write a review because it is amazing. Its responsive, doesn't disconnect at all, easy to use and set up, and looks and works great with the Apple wireless keyboard. The only problem with it was clicking and select things. To solve this, just go on System Preferences, Trackpad, and select "Tap to click".

Overall, great product, highly responsive and highly recommend using with the wireless keyboard. Worth the money and great quality.

The Magic trackpad is an amazing little device that expands your trackpad on your MacBook pro, and if an iMac user, it unlocks a world of touch and responsiveness only Apple could provide. It has a beautiful sleek design and goes with all of your apple made products. I ordered one after using the one that we have in my computer class, learning how to do Photoshop and other various applications from Adobe. I find my self going to the trackpad for comfort in class (we have both mouse options (trackpad and the Magic Mouse)) and it is just as accurate! Would most certainly recommend!!!

I bought this track pad a few months ago and recently realised i got so used to it that i never want to ever use the magic mouse which i was so comfortable with in the beginning.Time goes by and technology gets so advanced that we are forced to leave some things we liked.Anyway the track pad is very good to use and makes me access my computer very very comfortably.Iam sure the magic mouse has its advantages too.so its always my back up .Good technology apple!

Makes using a MPB as a desktop replacement a joy

I use my MBP in many different places but primarily at my office desk. When in the office, I want to use the MBP as a desktop replacement, so I purchased a Thunderbolt Display. When first using the MBP - Thunderbolt Display combination, I found using MBP keyboard and trackpad awkward.

As part of a solution, I purchased a Magic Trackpad. This would allow the MBP to sit back with the Thunderbolt Display. My fear was that it would not have the same feel as the MBP trackpad or that it would be difficult to use. My fears were unfounded!! It works every bit as well! In fact, the Magic Trackpad is so light and easy to use, I usually pack it for on-the-road use.

Apple got this perfect! 5 stars!

This product is very good and practical for all desktop users out there. With Magic Trackpad you can take advantage of multi gesture and other fancy stuff OSX offers. So I got one and loving it, but I never felt this device can replace my mouse. When it comes to do something like editing a picture I don't feel this device is sensitive enough, so I just use Magic Trackpad for day to day task like read emails and browse web and use Magic Mouse when I want to work. But still I cant live with or without it!!
