I have been using the track pad for six months. It hogs batteries. Now it is possessed. I have done everything I can think of to fix it - Googled everything, reset, trashed preferences, PRAM, etc. It literally has a mind of its own today. Now I have to drag a 27" iMac in to fix this. REALLY? I can make more money by going and buying a mouse instead of wasting two hours for the Genius bar to belittle me.

My love for Apple 10 years ago has turned into - hey they are still better than all the problems I have w/ a PC. But every year I have MORE and MORE problems. :(

The magic trackpad might just be the greatest accessory apple has made. I just recently purchased an iMac and instead of going with the magic mouse I chose this instead and have not regretted that decision for one minute. Its looks great but most importantly its functional. I have to run a lot of programs that require responsive and functional mice, (auto cad, rhino, photoshop, indesign, revit, sketch up, 3ds max, etc. by the way Im an architecture student) and this track pad knocks it out of the park. So if you are looking for something to run some serious programs or just to have a really cool mouse to show friends give this a shot I am almost certain you will love it. Plus it will feel like a natural transition from iPhone to your computer. Enjoy!

I hate this thing...I have to pound on it to get it to connect and the batteries run out every two weeks. It always loses it's connection with the computer..going back to my mouse..Good riddance..

Is a perfect pairing for a OSX with the mutitouch gestures capabilities. Dragging icons over long distances, or selecting a lot of text is cumbersome.

After about 12 months it would regularly drop connections. Eventually, after about 18 months, it was unusable and would drop connections every minute. Battery replacement would usually resolve the issue, but as time went on, battery life was shorter and shorter. It's not that they wore out, it's that the trackpad required a higher battery life percentage in order to even turn on. All battery contacts were perfectly clean too. After dropping connection, the only way to re-establish was to remove and re-insert batteries.

Expected a little more for such an expensive product. Seriously having second thoughts about buying another one.

I just purchased this item and already it is much easier to use than even the Magic Mouse. I will still keep my mouse for the few applications that require it, but I adore the trackpad. It is comfortable to use and the gestures, once you learn them, are highly intuitive. Finally a trackpad for a desktop computer! A+, Apple!

Effective tool however strain on wrist. I lift up my hand and still bothersome.
Feels better when the trackpad is on my lap.

Perhaps making one for table-top with arc in the same curvature as the magic mouse. Tilt forward a little more. A shape that will make less hand movement with more efficiency.

A pressure sensitive pen would be a nice option. Allow trackpad mapping to the screen size.

Although I love the Magic Mouse, the trackpad keeps the connection much further away than the mouse. I use this with my MacMini and TV and stream videos. Bigger surface too. Get it, you'll love it

OK this track pad is awesome! Seriously it blows having a mouse out of the water! Cannot imagine using a mouse again. No more carpal tunnel pain! Seriously I love it and so does my partner... Love it love it!

I can swipe pages. I can scroll. I like it so much!!! But it does not replace a mouse. I have a wired mighty mouse.
