Had bought a Bamboo Touch to help relieve some stress on my wrists, but in no way does it compair to this. The pad is very responsive, never mistaking a gesture that I make on it. The Pad can be used in multiple angles which helps relieve stress on my wrists. I love it, very very easy to set up! I was wary about the high price tag, but believe me, it really really is worth it! Only hiccup I've had with it is with iPhoto, but I really think that's a software problem.

Great, responsive, just what I thought it would be.

The Magic Trackpad can outright replace the Magic Mouse for most applications. I don't do a lot of gaming at all, but the little I do, the trackpad is probably not the the thing to use. Otherwise, this thing is awesome. Very pleased. It's size and design are great too. Would make this purchase again without hesitation.

    Awesome!

This Magic Trackpad from Apple is just great! It's really nice to have the same multi-touch trackpad found on the Macbooks but with 80% more space, the materials and design are just the same, great. Awesome product. I use it along with a normal usb mouse, basically I do all with the magic trackpad but I play the Call of Duty games with the mouse. Awesome product!

I don't typically write reviews, however, I got this magic trackpad as a gift. I absolutely recommend this to everyone. Fantastic, easy to learn, and very responsive.

    cool piece of aluminum

I like that it matches the keyboard, takes a bit to adjust to using it over the magic mouse, so I use both, actually It's something I just had to have, to rub in my friends (pc users) face! It's really cool and does work nicely, Im just happy that apple finally made a mouse (magic) to replace that "clunky" so called mighty mouse, mine got recycled! the track pad and mouse are a must.

    Truly Magical with BTT

    • Written by from Overgaard

Just got a Magic Trackpad for Christmas and am loving it. I have an older white MacBook without the multi-touch gestures and have really been missing out by not having this capability. I got used to using the gestures with my iPad so now it is nice to have the same functionality with my MacBook. The settings from Apple are pretty basic so you really need to download BetterTouchTool to enable custom gestures so you can setup gestures for Dashboard and such. All in all a great gift that makes my old MacBook seem like a new machine. Very pleased.

Magic Trackpad is a fantastic product. I don't have a lot of desk space and tried many different solutions to no success until this product.

    Favorite accessory.

    • Written by from Poway

Perfect accessory for your Mac. I have put my mouse in storage, the touchpad is all I need or use.

I have injuries and physical limitations, the touchpad allows me to use my mac well after a mouse would have running away screaming. Great for those with wrist and shoulder injuries.

This makes a perfect gift for friends (Mac only, not good for Windows yet). I suggest eneloop rechargeable batteries due to their extended charge retention whereas most standard rechargeables discard quickly.

    5 star product.

    Simply Wonderful

    • Written by from Akron

Hello everyone. I have been using mostly trackballs instead of mice on my computers because I have Cerebral Palsy, which makes using regular computer mice fairly difficult for me.

I got the Magic Trackpad today. After using it for only a short wile I notice that I’m able to navigate through my work easier and quicker.

I want express my most sincere thanks to the designers at Apple. The Magic Trackpad is simply wonderful.

    AMAZING!

    • Written by from New Haven

Probably my favorite Mac peripheral of all time. The battery lasts forever, and I love the fact that it 'wakes' like a normal trackpad. I use it next to my B-tooth keyboard (also awesome), so that I can put my MIDI keyboard right in front of my monitor, and not have to lean to get to my Macbook Pro. 2 days after purchasing this product, my lower back problems disappeared. Worth EVERY penny!

    Best thing EVER!

    • Written by from Albuquerque

I was hesitant to move up from my Mighty Mouse because I really liked the multiple functions of it (moving between spaces and exposing all open windows with separate function clicks), but I did it because of the problems with the scroll ball. I AM IN LOVE! At first I felt like the touch-to-tap was too sensitive so I turned it off and used only the click. This was fine but because I had to be clicking tons in my work I went back after a few weeks and since my hand had gotten used to using the trackpad, an unwanted stray tap was almost unheard of. Makes computer use so easy, nice big area, comfortable, convenient, minimal hand strain, and just wonderful all around. The battery life is nice and long (thanks auto-off!) so I don't have to change batteries often, even using rechargeable batteries. While my husband thought I just wanted it to have the latest gadget from Apple (that too), it was TOTALLY worth it and I can't imagine using a mouse again.

    What a smart product

    • Written by from Montreal

This is a really great product. Wireless mice aren't really that portable because you have to have a hard surface to be able to use it.

The product is super easy to use, very portable, and doesn't cause any strain in your arm/s. I'm giving it 5 stars because there aren't any other wireless trackpads out there, and it does everything you'd expect it to do. I'm a graduate student and I spend about 7 hours a day in the library (that's on top of going to school--yes I'm a dork). My neck starts hurting from staring down at my laptop, so this trackpad and the wireless keyboard allow me to prop my mbp up on some textbooks and enjoy a makeshift desktop set-up in the library carrels.

I just hope they come out with a carry case for the magic trackpad (as well as the wireless keyboard) sometime soon. I worry it's going to get scratched when I put it in my bag.
