Reviews for Apple iPad Dock

I bought my second dock yesterday and plan to use one at work and one at home.

I am not experiencing any of the issues others are talking about in some of the reviews.

I use mine to charge my iPad2 as well as hold it upright so I can use the iPad at night as my alarm clock.

Perfect for me.

I love the design. In terms of look, it is slick, handsome, and beautiful. It terms of functionality, it serves it's purpose providing perfect steady support to hold my IPAD vertically for either charging or used as picture frame/clock/typing etc. I am not the designer of the dock, not sure if it was intentionally designed as such. But in my opinion, even it can be used with the cover on, I would probably still take the cover off while my IPAD is in the dock. 2 simple reasons: (1) IPAD looked beautiful and elegant enough to be displayed on my desk, living hall, bedroom etc, why would I want to cover it up with something else? 2) While charging, I would like to have as much cooling as possible to prevent over heating up the chip. Why would I want to put an insulation around to risk my IPAD over heated while charging?

I have been looking around for alternatives to the dock, honestly, I couldn't find anything better. Well done Apple designer!

This is a great dock. It does it's job well. I like the sleek look it gives my iPad sitting on my desk. Everyone is crying because it doesn't work with the case... my question to you is, why the heck didn't you use your eyes and see that it wouldn't work with the case before you bought it? Well worth it, recommened, there is also a lot of cases that support the dock now as well.

I love my dock - it displays my iPad as a digital picture frame and charges it when it is not in use.

We have the component cables connected to the dock, so it makes watching video or listening to audio a cinch. Looks perfect next to my stereo and HDTV.

For the people who gave 1 star reviews for not fitting with a case on, there are cases that fit the dock, with the case on. No point in giving the dock a poor review or rating because some cases don't allow the iPad to dock, while others do. My iPad dock does exactly what it's supposed to do - if you use a case, I recommend checking to make sure that it's designed to fit the dock before purchasing. I had no trouble docking my iPad in the case. I give the dock 5/5 stars.

Have no idea why this is rated so low. This is a great dock that adds so much more value to your iPad. This turns your iPad into a digital photo frame and gives it a nice home. Would recommend this to anyone with an iPad!

Audio and VGA output with the right converter (e.g. HDMI , less than 50 dollars) you watch iPad video, video podcast, photo slide shows and music ect, ect. You can use in all kinds of media situations.

I use this dock on the counter in my kitchen for my iPad to run Sonos or to FB. I don't care about the case when I'm home and it's not "that" big a deal when you're traveling to pull it out of the case for dock usage.

Perhaps unlike others, I don't carry around my iPad with me everywhere I go. I have an iPhone for the short trips and only really use my iPad away from home when I'm gone for a day or longer.

It does what it say it does, no more, no less.......

Another great addition to the syncing process. Works very well samll enough if you are not using the dock to move it out of the way to make more room on your desk. Dont Worry about the reviews for syncing it with the cover on. If you want a great product look no further you found it.

I like this dock station. I don't have a cover that stays on the iPad, because that defeats the awesomeness of the iPad. I have a protective sleeve that I slide it in and out of. I like this dock because I can stand the iPad in it and have a slideshow of pics on my desk, when I'm not using it. It also makes it easy to charge because it is standing instead of laying down taking up too much space. I love it.

I don't know why people are are complaining that you can use it as a stand and you can't use it with a case. The point of this product is to sync and charge your iPad not for a stand. If you want a stand get the iPad Keyboard Dock and take off the case, chances are you will not need a protective case when you plant it on a sturdy dock. I have enjoyed the iPad dock considering I do not use a case. It does what it is supposed to. I am sorry but i LOVE my dock so... If you want something that works as intended get this.
