Too small - size does matter.

I wish my new iMac had come with the mighty mouse and larger keyboard. The small keyboard is just too hard to work with. My command/option/control buttons are smaller and trying to design with shortcuts is a pain.

    Bad Keyboard for Handicapped People

Because this keyboard does NOT have the normal concave keys, it makes it extremely difficult for anybody with hand's issues, i.e., tremors, to use this keyboard. Apple obvisouly didn't keep Universal Access in mind when they designed ths keyboard.
The normal "home" keys 'F' and 'J' keys do not have the pronounced dots / lines on them so it makes it even more difficult to maintain your finger tips on the home row.
This keyboard is obviously designed for those who "chicken peck' type.
I can type about 85 WPM on a regular 'IBM' style keyboard, but am lucky if I can reach 25 WPM on this keyboard.
Also, because it's missing the normal number section to the right, it can't be used to navigate (page up, page down, etc., using the arrows on the typical number section. This makes it even more difficult for those with hand handicaps to use, because the magic mouse is too sensitive.

Not a good keyboard at all

The buttons feel horrible, they feel like they don't press when you press them, also my fingers slip off the keys when i'm working in photoshop holding multiple keys, and the arrow keys are so tiny they are a pain to press. I hate this keyboard, I love the older whit apple keyboard though.

Nice looking, but ergonomically hazardous to my health!

I am a tall man, with large hands, & my keyboard of choice is the ergonomic type, with a split keyboard. Well, I accidentally spilled some water on mine, so I opened up the brand new Apple keyboard that had come with my new iMac.

Well, it worked, but it's killing me! My hands are very cramped, it's the most uncomfortable keyboard I've ever used, & I have to wonder WHY Apple thinks a "24% smaller keyboard" is a good thing? I know if I continue to use it, I'll surely develop carpal tunnel or some other nasty condition, fooey on Apple for designing a device so unsafe to use for many of it's customers. My wrists are hurting as I write this review, I wish I could rate this a zero, actually... Oh, and what's with the "fn" key??? It totally throws me off since I've always had the first key be control, & I have to constantly make sure I'm hitting the right key, another ridiculous user-unfriendly design...

Great if they would just get rid of the Fn key

This keyboard WOULD be ideal except the stupid Fn key gets in the way. Who really uses that key anyway? I want my full size contol key back!!

Apple users against the Fn unite! (why not replace the option key on the right side with a Fn key instead?)

    Poor product, waste of money

I have had this product for just over two years - it has given me problems straight after buying. At first I thought that it was something to do with my mac however I have tried it with others and hate to say, it is the least favourite of my Mac purchases. For starters, my Mac Book Pro doesn't see the keyboard via Bluetooth, despite the lights blinking on the product. Once connected, expect to find multiple letters typed out for every one you type.

    Worst Apple keyboard yet

    • Written by from Lynchburg

This keyboard is the most unpredictable Apple product I own. Sometimes it will work flawlessly, sometimes it won't. It always goes berserk come time to replace the batteries. It will never reconnect to my Mac. I always have to go through a secret initiation process that Apple itself won't even publish to get the shiny metal waste-of-money to pair with my other shiny Apple products.

I miss my white Apple bluetooth keyboard.

No number pad -- not for business users

    • Written by from Leona Valley

This keyboard is a productivity killer for anyone on the business and accounting side of things. Might be OK for IT, graphics & video, and secretarial work, but definitely not for bookkeepers & number crunchers. If you work with numbers and need wireless, consider another manufacturer. You won't be happy with this keyboard.

Can't pair it with MacBook Pro

Simply put, I'm sending this back to Apple. It simply won't pair with my computer. The Apple "support" information is utterly useless. Yes, all my software is up to date. Don't waste your money.

Excelent device, But one thing! what about the BackLight?, i had been working with my Macbook Pro a long time and when i saw this keyboard i think well could be better for me to work a long distance with a Wireless Keyboard, but in darkness you lose everything. This need backlight in the keyboard.

The bluetooth connection on this keyboard is great. Everything connects fine, but I can't stand the ergonomics of this keyboard. I really wish Apple would produce an alternate form factor for their keyboards.

It is useless for word processing, no forward delete or end keys or page up r down. A lot of hype and very little functionality. I feel cheated by apple.

Miserable little thing - The "Hockey Puck" of Apple keyboards

    • Written by from Cary

I bought this after my previous wireless (white, full-sized with clear base) Apple keyboard developed an annoying habit of skipping the letter "T," and I have to confess I'm dumbfounded by its lack of usability. I guess it's OK for casual, couch-sitting use, but for real work, it's too light, too low, and too small. I had to place it on top of a book just to bring it up to the right height, and as I type, I notice it slowly moves to the right over the course of a day -- causing a lot of typos and backspacing as the day moves on.

Really, a pretty pathetic excuse for a keyboard, and it's a shame Apple doesn't offer a real wireless keyboard for its computer line. (On the other hand, if you want a keyboard for your iPad, I suppose this is great. For a computer though, it's a bit of a joke.)

This is the worst keyboard I have ever used. I do not find it useful for anything. Any keyboard is better than this one. It does not feel natural to type on at all.

I just bought this wireless keyboard and it literally does't work. I've tried connecting it with 3 apple computers already and none of them could even detect the keyboard. I have also tried changing the batteries multiple times! I was looking forward to using this nice 70 dollar keyboard but too bad I doesn't work.

I bought this a little over a year ago to go with my mini and it's been problematic since day one. It will "un sync" with the Bluetooth once every session, causing a lot of wasted time resyncing. If you want wireless, go elsewhere.
