Nice feel, but too many missing keys

The touch of the keys is really nice. Battery life is great. Only complaint is too many missing keys. I really want a wireless keyboard that has the number pad as well as insert, home, end, pgup, pgdown. Those keys are really missed when I remotely connect to a windows box.

The is keyboard looks great and is slim and lightweight. I have used this keyboard on my iPad an Mac fr 2 years now with no issues at all. The keys are responsive and have a nice click. It is easy to pair to your computer and is easy to switch between devices. If you are looking for a great wireless keyboard then this is the ne for you. Spend the extra money it's worth it.

    Wish it was full sized

I would love to say I love this keyboard, but I can't. I generally make a lot of use of both the numeric keypad and the arrow keys. This keyboard has no numeric keypad and the directional arrows are very truncated. I wish Apple would offer a full size wireless keyboard as an alternative. Heck, even allow it to have additional battery capacity due to it's longer length, and I think they would have a winner.

I understand the compact size works well for many. All I am saying is that choice is good, and I wish there was a choice of full size for those who need it and would still like wireless.

    eats batteries

This keyboard goes through sooooo many batteries. It's a real shame to think about all the batteries I've thrown into a landfill. And, more recently, I went to change my batteries and found they had exploded/corroded inside. I'm getting a wired keyboard next.

    Nice design -BUT BE WARNED

If your job or input work requires any numeric work give this a miss. A wireless keyboard without a proper number pad is a complete nightmare. Why Apple don't offer a wireless full size keyboard I do not know.

Battery life is terrible - replacement required every 2 weeks. Apple has failed to acknowledge or resolve this problem.

    Love This Keyboard!!!

I Bought this keyboard because I travel and it was easier to take with me when I was flying back to Canada, with my ipad than my mac book while I was in school. As a writer now I have to be able to write where ever I am and when it comes to travel I find it much easier to deal with than my mac book.

I love this keyboard, but I find that I am having to replace the batteries every 2 weeks. I'm looking for better alternatives (like rechargeable) but have not found it yet. Will keep using it, but not happy with the power drain.

I purchase this keyboard back in Feb. 2011, I missed the side number pad because I'm a Logic user and prefer using shortcut keys. I got pass that. I loved the look of the keyboard and how clean my desk appeared without cables running acrossed. Yesterday, out of the blue, certain keys no longer responded. (Cap Lock, Delete. Space, Enter, left and right arrow) My keyboard is now useless. (only 8 month of use?)I had to plug in my old keyboard. Glad I hadn't already tossed it. :(
BTW, this is a known issue, just google it.

    I loved it at first....

It took a little getting used to, but I quickly adapted....then suddenly it totally stopped working for me. I could type, but had NO control over the space bar, so all my words ran together. I was in the middle of a major project and had to run out and buy a keyboard.

I Googled help, got many answers, to no avail. I saw one response from someone who took it back to an Apple Store and was told "replace the batteries every 2 weeks because they expand"....2 of my batteries are stuck in there, and no way to get them out.

I want to purchase another, but am leery in doing so....

After 20 years of being a PC, I went to MAC over a year ago....LOVE the Apple products, but VERY disappointed in this.....

Would like to see a keyboard with:

    1) Auto/manual adjustable key lighting
    2) Full size with numeric pad
    3) Recharging ability with USB cable connection or wireless.

    purchased for iPad

I purchased this for my iPad. The keyboard paired instantly and works beautifully. I had a bit of trouble pairing with my laptop but realized it was because it was still paired with my iPad which was close by. I turned off my iPad and, voila! Instant pairing with the laptop. My only problem with this awesome little keyboard is that I'm not sure how to turn it off/on. Otherwise, it is really a great, compact, little keyboard that is super easy to use.

    Keyboard is Perfect

I use this keyboard and the magic mouse with my MBP on a stand when I'm at the office. It works exactly how it's supposed to. I'm surprised at the bad reviews on here. I've had my keyboard for years and never had a problem. I recently tried it on the iPad 2 and it worked for typing but not navigating. No biggie; not what I bought it for, but if you want it for an iPad it might not be what you're expecting.

Not All Function Keys Are Compatible With iPad2

Very disappointing to find that the only real use I can get out of this keyboard is typing into Notes or Pages. Still have to tap the screen to navigate around the Home Screen. Does not work with App. Will be returning this keyboard.

    Perfect companion keyboard for iPad

Along with Pages, this keyboard really expands the capabilities of the iPad. It saves you from having to find a computer when you want to type up a long e-mail or document. Keyboard is very light, comfortable, and it automatically powers down when not in use. Battery life has not been an issue. Note: I have not tried any of the third party keyboards that are integrated into the iPad case. Regardless, if I lost this keyboard tomorrow, I'd turn right around and buy a new one without a second thought.

i love this keyboard.. i totally understand why people wouldnt want this for their mac because of the compact size and the absence of a number pad but i use it for my iPad for typing papers and things. i didnt like typing on the ipad becasue i always made errors but this makes things much easier. if you use your ipad for more than just apps, i totally reccomend it it makes life so much easier.

    Surprising!

This keyboard is of great quality, i've never used a wireless keyboard before and this keyboard is very exceptional. It works great when i play online games (like SCII: which require lots of quick key combinations) i never feel any lag between what i press and what happens.
Any other wireless keyboard i use is going to have a lot to match up to.

Lastly, i was having an issue when i pressed the space bar and when i let go the space kept going. As i panicked, the keyboard "lost connection" and then "connected" again. I was so surprised it had its own failsafe that i stopped what i was doing to write this review and share how awesome the keyboard is.

    Amazing.

By FAR, the very BEST keyboard I've used in 22 years!

When I joined the Mac family of products 15 months ago, I thought I had already found the best keyboard that I would ever have the privilege of typing on. These were the soft-touch keyboards on the several higher end ThinkPad's, which I had been using for 11 years before switching to my first iMac. Not so, as I turned out, as this wireless keyboard from Apple is not only fantastic and super comfortable to type on, but, as is the case with most Apple products, it is also gorgeous!

I suppose that this is where PC users would start calling me an Apple fanboy, but I have come to appreciate that my aluminum keyboard matches the Magic Trackpad perfectly in color, style, dimensions, and ergonomics. I am also blown away by the fact that this keyboard is usable even when I interrupt my Mac from booting when I, for example, am fiddling with my latest dual or triple boot setups well before OS X even has a chance to boot! This is a big deal because this keyboard cannot be plugged in, so it's all wireless all the time, which adds to the aesthetics even more.

Battery life is top notch. I last replaced my re-chargeable batteries several days ago and I just now checked how much juice is left: 99%. And mind you that I actively use it on a daily basis, 7 days a week, for approximately 5 hours each day.

There is no better (or better looking) keyboard and I have 22 years worth of experience in typing. The price is more than justified and it'll match the furniture.
