first of all i'm an apple-addict. so the first two things i've bought in a few days after my 'the new ipad' were smart cover and in two more days apple wireless keyboard. and when i found smart cover quite useful i can't say so 'bout wireless keyboard. first of all - i think that batteries were actual in 90s, but not in 2012! apple always research smth innovating and leads in progress. somehow, not with this kwyboard. the second thing, that made me gone REALLY crazy 'bout itself was the next thing. when typing a message you can't send it by pressing 'enter' or 'go' or the same stuff. you have to touch the screen. yeah, i know steve said that we have ten stylos on each hand but! what for then 'enter' when using a wireless keyboard? i don't know. and the country i live in, Russia, there are much higher prices on apple products, then in usa. so i've just spent 3490 rubles (or smth 'bout 117 $) on nothing.
after a few minutes using your "innovation" i've put it a box it came from:)

    Great Keyboard

This keyboard is easy to use, very portable, and it works well with my iPad and my MBP. It requires a light touch and it connects quickly to any device I pair it with.

It also has a surprising range and I mention this because there is an important caveat about this keyboard. If my laptop has bluetooth on, and this keyboard is stored away in a case, it is possible for it to still connect, especially if a key has been pressed (because the walls of the laptop case are pressing one or many keys). I have seen some weird effects such as the track pad stopped working. Simply put, if you are using bluetooth connectivity, and if this keyboard is within range (about 25 feet the last time it happened), I recommend that the keyboard not be stored in anything that can activate the keys.

I found the keyboard to be absolutely wonderful to type on and i find the simple design to be absolutely amazing. The only issue i have is that it doesn't have a number pad attached to it but i guess if it did it wouldn't make this keyboard too portable.

This keyboard also works with the IPhone. I found this out quite by accident. There are times when Siri and the phone's touch surface just are not enough. Thanks Apple.

    Beautiful Quality

I've had my keyboard for two years and I have never had any issues with it, ever. It pairs easily and flawlessly with my Macbook Pro, my iPad 2, and my iPhone 4S. This only thing that is missing is a numeric keypad. I hate having to use the number row above the keys. In addition, the keys are not backlit. Other than that, I have no complaints.

It is easy to pair to your computer and is easy to switch between devices. If you are looking for a great wireless keyboard then this is the ne for you. Spend the extra money it's worth it.

    Animal hair-resistant keyboard? Yes, please

Bought this about a day or two after purchasing my 3rd gen iPad because I like my wrists in their current, RSI-free state. Tactile feel is good and it's easy to carry around (I got an Incase origami workstation/keyboard cover). So far, so good.

My favorite feature: the shallow, well-spaced keys make this thing really easy to clean. It's ideal for dog and cat owners, especially if you use the iPad in bed. Just blow on the keyboard and the hair is gone. This also applies to crumbs if you tend to eat at your desk. I wish I could say that about my full-size Dell and Apple keyboards at work!

Only complaints: Having bluetooth enabled all day does drain the iPad battery. When I'm at work, I've just learned to leave BT off until I need to use the keyboard. Not an ideal fix, but it works.

Our wireless keyboard came with our iMac going on 3 1/2 years ago. We love the convenience of the wireless design and the comfort of use. The batteries past a long time. Ours just died because a kid spilled a full glass of milk onto it. Otherwise it'd be going strong. I'm ordering a new one presently.

Are you looking for a keyboard that will last about a year and look great doing it? If so this keyboard is for you. I’m now on my second one and it always loses the connection with my iMac and has been displaying random battery messages yet the batteries are new Duracells.

    Keys stopped working

One year and 2 weeks after purchasing this keyboard with a new 21" iMac several keys just stopped working, rendering it useless. I checked online and this seems to be a fairly common problem. I've been a Dell user for over a decade and last year switched to a Mac based on rave reviews from friends. So far I've been unimpressed. Six weeks after purchasing the iMac the hard drive failed. Now the keyboard has failed. I don't know what will fail next, but this is becoming the most expensive computer I've ever owned......and not because of the quality.

Heels for fingers, looks sexy but painful

    • Written by from Toronto

Going to keep it short as possible,

Like with all Apple products, they all look very sexy and attractive like women in heels however it comes at a cost, and that cost is that it is painful (literally), all of apple's keyboards both on their desktop and laptops are incredibly flat. For me and a few other people apple users out there, A little too Flat, that its caused some pretty stiff and intense Repeitive Stress Injuries (RSI) in my hands and fingers

If you value comfort over form switch to another keyboard, some thats not so flat, and more ergonomic, personally i like the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 keyboard. Plugs in via USB, and all the keys are there and work. However if your going to tough be prepared to see a occupational injury physio therapist.

    Summery
    Beautiful but lethal on fingers
Try it before you buy it, the pain does not appear right away. for me it came up 2-3 days of use after i started on it.

    Broke in one Year

Nothing had been spilled on it ever, nothing unusual had ever happened to it. After a year, the left half of the keys stopped working so I couldn't log in to my user any longer. I am typing this from a friends computer. Other than this issue, It worked fine. But I'm thinking I may buy a usb keyboard to replace it instead of another copy.

    Not enthralled

I like not having the cord, but the action isn't great on this thing. The keyboard has this really cheap, hollow, plastic-like feel to it. It's more Fischer-Price than Apple. I've had the wireless for about a month. I'm trying to like it, but I just can't used to the feel of the new keyboard. If I had a chance for a do-over, I wouldn't have bought this thing.

    Not backlit

Bought this to use with my MacBook when it is connected to my tv. It weighs about as much as a paper clip which is taking some getting used to since I type in my lap. I'm baffled as to why it has white textured keys, I can't wait to see how dirty it will look in a year. The lack of a backlight is completely dumb and I would have purchased another keyboard if I would have realized this before.
