    Best keyboard I have used.

    • Written by from Toronto

I can type on this keyboard faster and with fewer mistakes than any other I have used. I used to think the keyboard in my old Powerbook G4 was the best I had used, until this was released. The response is great and keys are springy and always register a click. I like this keyboard so much that I bought one for work, with my own money, rather than use the cheap office one.

The battery life is great and a huge improvement over the first wireless keyboard. I think I change the batteries after four months and that is will daily use and I use it a lot, but can't remember it's so infrequent.

It's great at a desk and now I use it on the couch on my lap, with the Mac Mini connected to my TV. Same size keys as a regular keyboard, but small enough to tuck into the end of the coffee-table when not in use. Love that it goes into a stand-by/sleep mode and I never need to turn it off. Just stop using it and then tuck it away. No delay or waiting for it to re-connect when I come back to use it hours or a day later. If only there was a model with a touchpad (hint, hint).

    Heavy user. Sysadmin. High praise.

Having both a Macbook air and this wireless keyboard is a treat. The wireless keyboard (as well as the wired keyboard) have virtually the same layout, save the function button, smaller control and alt keys, and small arrow-pad. This means that as I move from laptop-keyboard to wireless-keyboard, I do not have to adjust my typing habits to compensate for altered ergonomics.

The tactile response of the keys is noticeable yet not wearisome.

Bluetooth distance has never been a problem for me even paired with an tower outfitted with an external USB bluetooth dongle.

I am a daily user and have replaced the batteries in my laptop twice in about 7 months.

    No gripes here.

Great improvement on a great keyboard

    • Written by from Star

There are only two problems with the older version of this keyboard:
    1) it required three batteries which was a pain.
    2) it's so perfect that it spoils you and quickly makes you not like other keyboards including the full size keyboard with the function keys so far away from typing position.

I'm a road warrior and have only worked from a laptop going on 16 years. I finally made room on my desk at home for a monitor so bought Apple keyboard and trackpad. Easy transition when I get the opportunity to work at home and doesn't take up much space. Quickly power off and put away in drawer.

    MUST READ IF CONSIDERING BUYING

    • Written by from Brighton

The review that says short battery life is wrong, the battery life depends on the type of batteries that you use. I use lithium batteries, I change the batteries around every 3 months and I use it daily. Also yes, there is no forward delete button but you can just press the Fn button and the backspace (delete) button. Also you can just scroll up with the arrow keys, you don't need special buttons that are only for going up a page and down a page. There is also probably a keyboard short cut for that too. This is just to let you know that it is a great keyboard and the people who wrote those reviews clearly haven't used it yet.

    The Missing Piece

    • Written by from Fuquay Varina

I love this keyboard. i've had the ipad for about three or four months, and my only complaint about it is typing. i avoided typing longer emails on it because it just took me so long to "hunt and peck" on the ipad. i finally got the wireless keyboard - set up was a breeze. and after only playing with it one day, i would say this is the essential component that was missing from my ipad experience. i was taught to type properly (on a typewriter!) and so i never could get used to typing on the ipad; the keyboard makes all the difference for me.

my only "complaint" is that i can't use functions; or the arrows to scroll through a pre-populated list - like a keyboard on a computer. but since i got the keyboard for typing, and not those other things, i'm ok with that.

i highly recommend this product for people who miss the bumps under the "f" and "j" when typing on the ipad.

    Excellent!!! Great battery life!

I received this wireless keyboard a little over a year ago as a late birthday/fathers day gift from my oldest. In conjunction with the magic mouse, I have this blue-toothed to my mid '09 MBpro, which is mirrored to a larger HD display. Instant desktop. Works great!
The keyboard is used daily and has performed flawlessly to date. I did purchase a silicone keyboard skin for a buck off eBay. Keeps the keys clean and adds some insurance against liquid spills at coffee time.
The original batteries just expired last month. So it almost made it a full year with the batteries it shipped with.
    Very impressive!
I would rate this 10 big stars if I could, but five will have to do.
    Highly Recommended!!!

    Great Keyboard

    • Written by from Etobicoke

This keyboard is easy to use, very portable, and it works well with my iPad and my MBP. It requires a light touch and it connects quickly to any device I pair it with.

It also has a surprising range and I mention this because there is an important caveat about this keyboard. If my laptop has bluetooth on, and this keyboard is stored away in a case, it is possible for it to still connect, especially if a key has been pressed (because the walls of the laptop case are pressing one or many keys). I have seen some weird effects such as the track pad stopped working. Simply put, if you are using bluetooth connectivity, and if this keyboard is within range (about 25 feet the last time it happened), I recommend that the keyboard not be stored in anything that can activate the keys.

I just got one of these today to use with my ipad 3 I bought it because I wanted to be able to use my ipad as a computer for typing long papers on. It is great so far I love that you can type, go away and then type right away when you come back, no waiting. Overall a very spiffy product! I also love that you can use the keyboard on the ipad if you want to just by pressing the eject key

    Sublime Product

This is the most useful accesory that I have gotten.

Writing on this keyboard just feel smooth and fast. I have a blog and write every day, and this keyboard (altough it doesn't have numeric pad) has been 100% useful.

Pretty easy to use, beautiful finish, and not to mention that the battery consumption is extremely low, so it works for weeks and even months without a charge.

    Works with iPhone 4 too!!!

    • Written by from Austin

You can pair this with your iPhone 4. Will also work with 3G or 3GS running OS 4. I use it for text or email and it makes it so much faster. The arrows and brightness work too. So do the music controls! Can't figure out how to hit 'send' on texts from the keyboard yet...

This keyboard also works with the IPhone. I found this out quite by accident. There are times when Siri and the phone's touch surface just are not enough. Thanks Apple.

    Very nice!

    • Written by from Cincinnati

Just purchased this a few days ago to make extended typing a little easier on the iPad - the keyboard is light and ultra portable - syncs with Bluetooth effortlessly - so effortlessly, in fact, that if I want to revert to touch screen functions on the iPad and the keyboard is anywhere nearby, I have to disable Bluetooth in iPad settings. Other reviewers mention that it lacks a 10-key number pad, which is true, but I don't find this particularly problematic as my laptop doesn't have a number pad either. Really nice addition to my iPad accessory bundle - makes it easier to do discussion postings for my online classes because I'm faster with a keyboard than a touchscreen - this may make it totally unnecessary to travel with my full laptop ever again . . .

    Fantastic Keyboard

    • Written by from Highland Park

I just replaced my large white Apple wireless keyboard with this smaller, sleeker model. I did it for two reasons which seem largely ignored in the previous reviews.

First, like most users, I mouse with my right hand (even though I am left-handed). The models with number pads put a 6 inch space between your mouse and your right typing hand. Think about the number of times you go from your keyboard to your mouse per day, multiply that by 2 (there and back) and then multiply that by 6. That is the number of unnecessary inches your hand is traveling between the mouse and keyboard everyday. The compact keyboard allows for a quicker, less straining computing experience. I do not use a number pad enough to offset this convenience. Even if I did, I would buy one of the many bluetooth number pads and put it somewhere else on my desk.

Second, this keyboard has a much lower profile than the old white ones. This makes the for a much more comfortable typing position.
