I love my wireless keyboard. It is both visually and functionally appealing. I wouldn't give it up. But please, Mr. Jobs, add a numeric keypad for those of us who type lots of numbers!

    Wireless Keyboard and iPad

It is certainly in the tradition of the ultra thin iPad and works wonderfully, what I would like to have however is a nice miniature brief case to carry and protect the iPad, the keyboard and the charger, something like a computer bag but compact. One has to consider these items as durable yet delicate especially when traveling. My biggest issue, once you put your iPad into the case, the iPad docking station is useless as Apple did not take into account the case would not fit into the dock. Anyone want a used dock? Lastly a design change I'd like, put another power port on the left hand side of the iPad so you can dock it horizontally for a better wide screen while viewing movies, you can't do this with the power port on the bottom.

this keyboard works great except for one thing: it has no keypad. i have a macbook pro that doesn't have a keypad, so when looking for a keyboard to hook up to i want something that has it. why do i have to get the wired keyboard to get the pad? it just doesn't make sense.

    Why no numeric keypad?

This keyboard is downright amazing with some incredible range. Whilst advertised at 33 feet, I've seen this guy go almost 60 feet. Great for setting up a presentation table or for use with a computer on a TV works well. But, c'mon, Apple, give us a numeric keypad!

I recently updated to an iMac and have had no issues to date. The bluetooth keyboard and mouse that come as standard work very well and have had no drop out issues. The only problem is that I miss the full keyboard functions that I use with certain programs. If you just need a compact keyboard without all the numeric pad and arrow keys, etc it is definitely for you.

The apple wireless keyboard makes the iPad so much easier to use. You can do all the commands that are possible with a mac. The only reason I didn't give the keyboard 5 stars is because it's a bit on the expensive side.

    Great keyboard, one minor annoyance

I've been using the bluetooth keyboard with my iPad for a few weeks, and it works great. You have to get used to which functions do and don't work relative to the touch screen, but once you know what to expect (when there's no keyboard equivalent to a tap on the screen), it's very easy. The feel of the keys is as good as any keyboard I've used. The bluetooth connection has been very reliable. Oh, and the keyboard is truly a work of art, if that appeals to you. Functionally, I'd give it five stars.

The one little thing that annoys me is that the way the on/off switch is designed -- a big button that is flush with the end of the keyboard, it turns on by accident when I carry it in my bag along with the iPad. It doesn't take much of a bump at all to turn it on. I've resorted to taking out one of the batteries when I carry it. I'll probably make some sort of cap to fit over the end with the switch, to protect it from bumps. If only the switch had some sort of lock-out, like turning it 90 degrees to enable it, or something. That would make it better for portable use.

Overall, it's a great keyboard, very well built, and a pleasure to use. I recommend it highly.

    Great Keyboard for iPad

This is a must have, it you are planning on using your iPad for a true document editor. Its is crazy responsive and truly expands the i pad's capabilities closer towards being a very good net book. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and the battery lasts a very long time.

My only beef is that, when you turn this thing off, it still wakes itself up and reconnects to your iPad at the most inconvenient times! I wish that there was a hard On/Off switch instead of the button one. I guess I could take out the battery, but thats a hassle!

The "other" computer makers can learn a thing or two for ease of set up and simplicity when it comes to adding/connecting devices. This keyboard along with the wireless mouse I bought with it installed on my iMac without a hitch. I was up and running within 2-3 minutes without the hassle of putting in a cd, downloading updates, etc like I did with my PC when I wanted to add peripherals to it. The only minor gripe about this keyboard is the lack of a numeric keypad, but to me I could live without it.

    Would Like Slant Control

This is a wonderful little keyboard. Very compact, very light, fits on my lap without hanging off. Easy to type on although I had to get used to the super flat low profile keys. Some reviewers have said there are no navigation keys, but if you hit Command plus Up Arrow, you get Home, and if you hit Command plus Down Arrow you get End. Hitting Control plus the up and down arrow gives you Page Up, Page Down. So if you use the Command, Control keys you have all the extra keys without the extra space. My only complaint is that the keyboard is permanently slanted down, so the back of the keyboard is higher than the front. Anyone who does a lot of typing knows it's more comfortable to type on a flat keyboard, or even one where the front by the space bar is higher than the back, because hands naturally slant downward away from the body. I fix this by putting a coaster under the front of the keyboard to raise it and make it flat.

    purchased for iPad

I purchased this for my iPad. The keyboard paired instantly and works beautifully. I had a bit of trouble pairing with my laptop but realized it was because it was still paired with my iPad which was close by. I turned off my iPad and, voila! Instant pairing with the laptop. My only problem with this awesome little keyboard is that I'm not sure how to turn it off/on. Otherwise, it is really a great, compact, little keyboard that is super easy to use.

One star short as there is no 10-key pad. My MacBook has a 10-key pad enabled by the [function] key, however, this is not the case with the wireless keyboard. Nevertheless, a great keyboard.

I've had my keyboard for a few months. I was using a windows keyboard with my Macbook Pro. I bought it mainly to save space because my desk is very small. It took about a month to get used to the smaller keyboard. I had to get used to my fingers finger positioning closer together. I am now used to my keyboard and my typing speed has gotten much faster since the keys are flat and my fingers are closer together. I prefer my Apple Wireless keyboard to the external windows keyboard. The batter life is good and it's very easy to connect to my Mac. A good investment.

    Great Keyboard, but...

So this keyboard is great except for the one thing that I knew about when buying it but didn't think I would miss....the number pad.

Pros: Great battery life (I've read other reviews on here that say their battery has only made it two weeks?? Mine's gone two months and I'm still at 84%. Just turn the keyboard off when you're not using it.) Lightweight & easy to move. Quick connection.

Cons: I still haven't adjusted to the keyboards on the new Macs, I liked my 1st gen MacBook Pro. No number pad - again, which I knew when buying it.

Overall: Great keyboard if you know that you will never miss the number pad.

    iPad Compatibility is Lame

I'm typing this on an iPad right now. The keyboard itself and pairing process was seamless like with all Apple products. Having been said, there are, as previously stated, no shortcuts for really, anything useful, such as:

    --Activate Home Screen
    --Highlight URL bar in Safari
--Navigation of Email Messages in Mail

    Some things that do work:
    --F1-2 Control Brightness
--F7 Goes Back one Track in iPod
    --F8 Plays/Pauses Track in iPod
--F9 Skips Ahead one Track in iPod
    --F10 Mutes Volume
    --F11-12 Adjusts Volume Level
--Eject brings up the on screen keyboard (useless)

Command X C and V still Cut, Copy and Paste.
Command+[Left/Right] traverses to beginning/end of line.
    Option+[Left/Right] traverses by word.
Holding Shift + Arrows allows for text selection.

Great product. iPad software needs to better handle its actions
