    Good keyboard, One flaw

    • Written by from San antonio

I bought this keyboard and have had it for about a week or so, and really fell in love with it. One major flaw, and I understand its not with all of them, but the keyboard is not centered right. When I hit the left "shift" key, the keyboard seems to bounce on the left side. The rubbers of the keyboard dont seem to be aligned correctly. In other words the keyboard rocks side to side when typing. Very annoying. Because i have lost the receipt to this keyboard I have put scotch tape under one of the rubbers to even it out.

    Easiest setup EVER!

    • Written by from Arlington

I just purchased the keyboard and I have to say, the setup time was the fastest and easiest setup of anything I have ever installed. Unlike the statement above says: "install on the computer first", you don't need to do that at all for the ipad2. It takes more time to get it out of the box then it does to set it up. Pull it out of the box, turn the power button on (on the right), turn bluetooth on in the utilities app and punch in the code it tells you to punch in. Boom. Done. I'll have to use it a while before I can give the product a 5 but it is so compact and clean. Anxious to see how long the batteries last.

Great for iPad, OK for iMac, needs number pad

    • Written by from HARRISONBURG

I have two of these. One (which I'm using right now) is used for my iPad 2. It is a HUGE improvement over using the onscreen touch keyboard. It paired easily and there is no lag (better have the latest iOS update). I use the other paired with my 21" iMac. Without the number key pad, it can make some design work (number intensive charts/graphs) hard do to. I wish Apple would come out with a wireless thin keyboard with the number pad...I'll keep waiting. I just can't see myself going back to a wired keyboard. Battery usage (AAs) seems reasonable, I end up changing batteries every 2-3 months and that's using it everyday.

    sweet keyboard

    • Written by from miramar

Personally i do not own a mac but this keyboard is awesome. the reason i bought it was to be used with my ipad and not have to stick to the ipads pop up keyboard on long writing assignments for school. turns out I'm using this keyboard more than my laptops and its the best. i am really slow at typing but the positioning on these keys is really good surprisingly making me way faster at typing. so for anyone looking for a very small and compact keyboard that is still incredibly comfortable this is the best buy.

    Bought Specifically for iPad

    • Written by

This keyboard works great with my new iPad 3G! I read a number of reviews prior to purchasing it and the deciding factor over the dock keyboard was the landscape capability. I purchased a $4.00 picture easel and along with this keyboard, I have a perfect setup. I noticed others complaining about the lack of iPad custom controls, and I agree that some additional features specific to the iPad would be nice. For web surfing, composing and responding to email, and document creation this is SO much better than typing on the screen, granted you must have a place to put it and your iPad w/ stand. I always disable my bluetooth on my iPad prior to transporting so I have not run into the accidental login attempts as other's have mentioned. GREAT PRODUCT, I hope Apple will update the OS to utilize things like arrow navigation capabilities and additional OS keyboard shortcuts. I highly recommend this product!!

    Nice Design but ....

    • Written by from Kent

This is a decent keyboard. It looks fabulous. I get the design decision to make the iMac all about the display, and the sleek, paired down keyboard enhances the effect. It's responsive, and basically comfortable. HOWEVER:

If you need a 10-key, forget it. This keyboard isn't for you. So, financial types, and those of us creatives who like 10-key for logging time codes, etc. are outta luck.

Not at all ergo. The layout is pretty standard, but the keys are not contoured. It's so slim that the usual keyboard tray with wrist rest is impossible to use. So, it sits on the desktop . . . doesn't take up much real estate, but it's not at all as comfy as a full size keyboard.

Think it's probably fine for home use, but if you sit in front of a machine all day, you'll want a full-size keyboard.

    Stylish but with limited functionality

    • Written by from Brownsville

A really nice piece of design but missing the critical element of a numeric keypad, up and down arrows, etc. Why no full keyboard with these functional elements included?
Style with limited functionality is no bargain.

Love the Keyboard Miss my numbers pad

    • Written by from Bolton

I love the sleek design and comfort of this keyboard, but it's lack of number pad made me take it back. Perhaps I'm one of the only accountants using a mac (?!?!) but the number pad is a necessity. Why isn't there an option with wireless keyboards?

Not convenient enough for the price

    • Written by from Wilkes Barre

I bought an iPad to use during meetings and therefore bought the keyboard as a more convenient way to take notes, send emails, etc. While the keyboard works in theory, some of the main functions like CTRL+A do not work. I called Apple.com, assuming that there may be a problem with the keyboard and was informed that this is simple a incompatibility issue between the ipad and the keyboard. While i understand the issue at hand, i suppose the fact that they clearly offer this as a compatible accessory to the ipad 2, that it should be just that...fully compatible. Poor representation on their website. I would have bought a keyboard, but not for $70. $70 and 2 batteries should offer me full compatibility...not half way there.

    Addicting and Marvelous

    • Written by from Wilmington

It provides such a convenience when I'm in class and want to take notes on my iPad. You might argue that you can just type on the screen but I find the wireless keyboard is much easier and not as tiring when there are a lot of notes to take down. It is so addicting though. A must have.

    Buy one. Live better.

    Serious Travel

    • Written by from Woodbridge

I have had this keyboard since June 2011 and travel extensively. The keyboard is very functional and I like typing on it very much. Feels pretty much like the keyboard on my MacBook Pro 17". The keyboard is not collapsible, which makes it a little difficult to travel with, because I pack my computer case with a lot of other things, including my laptop and iPad. I throw the keyboard in my large check-in suitcase between the clothes. I have been doing this for months and traveled all over the world and the keyboard always works great when I pull it out of the suitcase. I worry that it will get bent in the suitcase, but so far the aluminum construction has held up.

For meetings I do not take the keyboard, but just type notes on the iPad keypad. I don't like to, but this keyboard, though, portable, is just a little too big for taking to meetings, in my opinion. A have taken it, so it is more or less a matter of preference.

I have not used any other portable keyboards, so can't compare it to others. Four stars because of the portability issue.

    Wireless Keyboard

    • Written by from Shelbyville

I bought an iMac back in June, so it came with the wireless keyboard. Using the batteries that came with the keyboard, I've yet to replace them. The Bluetooth indicator still says the batteries are at 100%. Boom.

    It works, but...

    • Written by from Waterford

It works like every Apple product, but it is compact so if you're used to Apple's wired keyboard, it's totally different. They need to release a full-size Bluetooth keyboard. I will be returning this one.

The keys provide a crisp, responsive typing experience. The form factor is extremely thin and lightweight - perfect for one wanting an external keyboard with limited desk space (my situation). I use mine primarily on a Windows 7-based laptop and love it. I also play PC games using it and have had zero problems.

To be honest, I'm not sure why this keyboard isn't rated higher than it is - I think it's perfect for someone who enjoys a very streamlined, no-frills keyboard that looks great.
