If you're not a MAC user, then this keyboard will feel awkward and ergonomically uncomfortable. I like the look and the weight, but for getting out a lot of emails or typing, it was too difficult to use - lots of typos.

I found the Microsoft 6000 Bluetooth keyboard to be the best - lightweight, thin, and with the classic Microsoft keyboard layout and feel.

WHAT ON EARTH would possess the people over at apple to place the "fn" key right next to the control key / change the sizing / spacing of those hugely necessary keys? This think is unusable for someone coming from the wired aluminum keyboard apple makes. Every time I go for the control key I now hit the 'fn' key and have huge troubles finding the other three keys down there. On top of that for some reason the whole keyboard feels more cramped than the aluminum keyboard for some reason.

Why not just make the larger keyboard with the full (and extremely useable) number pad available as a bluetooth keyboard? It is obviously easier to find keys on a number pad than the top row of keys. We all know how to dial a phone not type in a line on number keys...

Epic Fail apple!

The Bluetooth connectivity is fine, and the keyboard is OK to use. I love not having wires on my desktop but this keyboard can get through a pair of AA batteries in a few hours. I have installed the updates for the keyboard but they made no difference.

I have tried Energizers and Costco alkalines but the battery consumption is still very very high.

I love all Apple products except this keyboard. Why save a very small amount of space by making a keyboard that's so difficult to use? The keys are compressed just enough that they are not in the spot your fingers are accustomed to, making it very difficult to type accurately. And, I have to add, that the small keyboard doesn't even look good with the larger monitors. Lose, lose.

There is ZERO navigational control with this. I bought this and the Ipad stand so that i could casually write emails and other light use on my couch with the Ipad on my coffee table. ($100 extra). There are so few shortcuts and so little thought put into the software design that it is virtually useless. You have to hit where you want to type and then type. Yes you can type with it...but it is a pain to lean forward and hit where you want to type and then put down the keyboard and navigate around. It is impossible to hold both at the same time obviously. Just give me a home button, and tab button with actual functionality and the ability to scroll through apps. PLEASE.

I love the wireless part, but I need my page down, page up, and the ability to delete in both directions! It's really slowing my productivity!! Which I find stupefying!!.. Nonetheless, I'm ordering the full keyboard.
I really dread the tether!

Comfortable and fairly ergonomic. Responsive. Mettallic finish is nice. Keys are quiet. Battery life untested so far. I still can't help but feel that Apple is saving money however, as the overall impression is a bit chincey. The absence of a numeric keypad just doesn't cut it for most anyone using this keyboard for business; and sadly, Apple doesn't yet make a wireless version that has one.

So I forgave the fact that it didn't include a numeric keypad. I also haven't been one of those users who had issues with the battery life. But I do have a serious issue with the fact that my keyboard stopped working on me tonight, and to my surprise, I opened it up to find my batteries corroded inside the tube and refused to come out. About an hour later I did eventually get them out, but not without a lot of trouble and elbow grease. These are the original Energizer Lithium batteries and I find it inexcusable that a user should have to endure this with stock batteries. Where's the QC these days!?

I absolutely love the look, size and sleekness of this keyboard...so I bought one. Sadly, I had to take it back the next day because it does not have a "forward delete" button, which anyone who writes at any volume needs. This only has a "backward delete" (or leftward) delete button. It takes two hands and a Command Fn combo to forward delete. Apple, please come to the aid of writers and editors and put in a single forward delete button.

A really nice piece of design but missing the critical element of a numeric keypad, up and down arrows, etc. Why no full keyboard with these functional elements included?
Style with limited functionality is no bargain.
