One year and 2 weeks after purchasing this keyboard with a new 21" iMac several keys just stopped working, rendering it useless. I checked online and this seems to be a fairly common problem. I've been a Dell user for over a decade and last year switched to a Mac based on rave reviews from friends. So far I've been unimpressed. Six weeks after purchasing the iMac the hard drive failed. Now the keyboard has failed. I don't know what will fail next, but this is becoming the most expensive computer I've ever owned......and not because of the quality.

This keyboard has only one Control key and that key is narrow and not in the lower-left corner. This makes editing in Emacs cumbersome.

There are no page up/down keys. To scroll a text window by one page, one must hold the "fn" key and tap the up or down arrow key. This cannot be done with one hand, which makes it an accessibility issue.

I purchased this keyboard based on the assumption it would perform multiple functions. Some fuctions touted by Apple include being able to control brightness, volume and to change tracks in iTunes. None of these features work with the original iPad. Apple generally has very good support and products, however this one comes up short. It has about three out of five stars on the Apple website. Currently the keyboard is only good for using the letter keys and typing only - no other fuctions work. I know that's the main reason you want one, but as you're working and you suddenly decide your music is a little loud, or you want to skip a track, having the ADVERTISED FEATURES work would be nice. Also, so many fuctions are overlooked, its really almost shoddy of Apple. There is no way to scoll on a webpage (despite having arrow keys) or now way to go back or forward through web pages (despite a multitude of buttons available for such functions). This keyboard may work fine with a full-fledged mac, but because it TOUTED AS AN IPAD ACCESSORY by Apple, you would think they would make it actually perform with an iPad, instead of it being useless for anything but typing. Think hard before your purchase this. It FEELS like you suddenly has a full-fledged laptop in front of you with a dedicated keyboard -- unfortunately the Apple Wireless Keyboard does next to nothing to control the ipad. Major disappointment Apple.

I have bought 3, YES THREE, of this product, and each time, one has failed me. The delete key breaks and stops working, the KB will go wacko and just unabatedly enter the same key without me touching a thing. And many others issues.

this must show it's a piece of junk. i like it's size and it's user-friendliness, and all the fancy aspects of it, but i have given up on it.

I recently had a spill and ruined my wired keyboard for my iMac. Since I now have an iPad I figured I would replace it with a bluetooth keyboard that I can use for both. I cannot even believe that they do not offer a bluetooth keyboard with the number pad and page up/home/etc buttons! I love my old keyboard and now I am so frustrated because I do not want to buy another wired keyboard, but I do not want this truncated bluetooth either. I guess I have to look at third party keyboards! I have been an apple customer since the //e and am extremely disappointed!

Well, Apple lowered the power requirement for this keyboard to two AA batteries. And could have been better off keeping the three AA's and provide backlight keys like the mac book pro. After all its wireless and that would have been an improvement! Innovation? Not always better to be green for the headlines.

My "" key just went out and stoed working only a coule of days after the warranty exired (of course). And you think that's bad? Try tying without this critical letter, it's an exercise in futility, esecially when most of all of your asswords contain the letter "." I had to cut and aste the letter "" from the character alette when I logged in to my comuter. I had to change the login for my comuter since it, too, contained the letter "" and there was no way for me to cut and aste this letter when I first log in from the character alette, so I had to borrow a friend's keyboard for a few hours, just so I could log into my comuter and change my assword! And just imagine the frustration when every single one of my website asswords had to be changed!

Enough said, I think you get why I gave this iece of junk only 1 star. Don't buy it. Surely Ale can do better than this!

This keyboard for use with an iPad 2 is TERRIBLE! It will allow me to type in one note and then it it will not type anymore. I really hope I received a defective model because this is ridiculous. If I want to use the keyboard, I have to go through and "re-pair" the keyboard all ovr, for maybe one note/message again before it peters out. Awful job Apple, AWFUL! I wish I could give it no stars.

The batteries leaked and fused the cap. I tried everything trying to pry it open. Ultimately, it's going to be recycled. Waste of $70. This really should have been swapped out for a new one. Apple refuses to do anything about it. There are many posts on here, and ifixit about this issue.
