    Stopped working

    • Written by from Raleigh

I had been happy with the keyboard since I bought it 3 months ago but it just stopped working, I changed the batteries three times and it no longer is being picked up by my computer. I did not change any settings, it just stopped working while I was working on a paper. There is no support topic on this problem yet I remember reading reviews about this when I considered purchasing this keyboard initially. I should have paid attention to the reviews. I'm very disappointed it did not last longer.

The numeric keypad is no longer embedded over the standard keys.

    • Written by from Los Angeles

Former Apple keyboards with a standard keyboard configuration had embedded numeric keys. Using the "FN" at the lower left allowed easy access to these keys.

If you use an application that makes use of these keys, you will have to purchase a numeric keypad in addition to the purchase of this keyboard.

Even though the extended keyboard is larger and wired, it may be a more effective input device for those who use the numeric keypad.

    Worthless after one month

    • Written by from Columbia

The keyboard came with the iMac that I purchased, and was a little small for my taste, so I decided to use it for my iPad 2 and get a Logitech solar keyboard for the iMac. Everything was great for about a month, and then, after the second time I had to change the batteries, the wireless keyboard would no longer connect to any device, including the iMac. There's no way to reset it, and it will no longer set up with the desktop. I'm not happy with this at all.

    Apple Wireless Keyboard

This is great when it works, but once every week it stops working and then won't reconnect. Would be ok if apple care was open on a Sunday...

    Hurts forearms and wrists

    • Written by from Nederland

This keyboard is an ergonomic nightmare. It rises in the back which causes all the muscles on the top of the forearm to tighten. This same keyboard layout is on my laptop, but the laptop's keyboard is flat. The flat keyboard doesn't hurt my arms and wrists. The angle of the wireless keyboard also slows down how fast I can type. I wanted to have something that was smaller on my desk, but I can't use it. All the ergonomic suggestions are that people have their wrist in neutral to type. This keyboard puts the wrists into extension. It would be better if it were flat. Plus, if it were flat, then it would have more surface contact with the desk so that it wouldn't slide away. This one slides away and injures the wrists and forearms.

    Worst keyboard ever

    • Written by from Rolla

I've been touch typing for decades. This is the first keyboard that I've used on which I find it consistently impossible to consistently touch the correct keys. I don't know if it is the lack of contour on the keys, the lack of play or what. I HATE this keyboard and curse Apple for making it their default design.

Keyboard Looks good but disconnects randomly.

    • Written by from orem

I love this keyboard but here is my issue: It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. I keep the keyboard about 1-2 feet away from the computer so range isn't the issue. When I Googled the problem someone said it was just interference from the Macbooks Airport (wireless.) When I turn off the airport it still disconnects just as much. I would love this keyboard if it were reliable. I have a 17" Macbook Pro Unibody, and an airport extreme network.

    Very disappointing keyboard.

    • Written by from Portland

I purchased this keyboard because of my years of satisfaction with Mac products. What a mistake. For the first month it functioned just fine with the exception of having to repeatedly "resynch" with my iMac. Then it started failing right in mid sentence as I was working on a document. This would occur as much as 5xs a day. Extremely frustrating. Then after 6 months it stopped working period. I will think twice before replacing it with another one or buying any mac peripherals. I can now put it in my "dead drawer" where my wireless mac mouse, mac battery charger and mac batteries permanently reside.

This keyboard out of the box was so uneven. Typing long papers is a nightmare. It would rock back and forth with every key typed. I tried bending it to stay even but no luck. Thinking about buying a Logitech its so bad.

    It's cute but annoying

    • Written by from Oakland

This keyboard disconnects every few minutes despite being inches from my MacBook.
It's so small that I can't balance it on my lap unless I lock my knees together.

If this keyboard were full-sized and had a palm rest and could stay connected, it would be great.

I'm giving it to a friend who just bought an iPad -- hopefully she'll have better luck than I did.

I'll just go back to my microsoft wireless keyboard. It's a properly sized keyboard and the Mac drivers work just fine for making it emulate Mac special keys.

    Pairing Issues

    • Written by from Baden

While the keyboard itself is very nice, lightweight, sleek, and overall an excellent design, it does not connect to devices very well. If your keyboard drops the signal you are in for one heck of a nightmare to get it to reconnect to anything at all. I have read tons of forums to try and fix the problem but nothing seems to work. I have had it for not even a day and I have spent the last 3 hours trying to get it to reconnect to no avail. It is very frustrating, and overall very unhelpful when there is no direction in the instruction manual to resolve these issues

Put my wrists out of alignment

    • Written by from Las Vegas

I tried using the new wireless keyboard with my new iMac for a few days. The keys are so crammed together that I had to position my wrists inward, causing considerable pain and alignment troubles. Fortunately, I was able to attach the old keyboard with the USB cable, and it works fine. I wish Apple would offer the old keyboard for iMacs, just wireless.

    Worst Apple keyboard yet

    • Written by from Lynchburg

This keyboard is the most unpredictable Apple product I own. Sometimes it will work flawlessly, sometimes it won't. It always goes berserk come time to replace the batteries. It will never reconnect to my Mac. I always have to go through a secret initiation process that Apple itself won't even publish to get the shiny metal waste-of-money to pair with my other shiny Apple products.

I miss my white Apple bluetooth keyboard.

If You Love Headaches, You'll Love This Product!

    • Written by from Seattle

What The Pho is going on over at Apple?

How did this silly thing get a green flag for mainstream? I absolutely HATE it! But its nice to look at.

If you use your computer for anything important, the wireless keyboard and mouse is going to drive you nuts.

    This is how it goes:
Your working on big project, your on a roll, being productive and BLAM! all of a sudden you can't type any more words! You realize the keyboard just went dead. Now what? You probably don't keep a fresh supply of batteries around the house so you go scrimmaging for batteries and pull em out of whatever you can find them in - the tv remote, your little brothers toys, your aunties dresser drawer. If all those are a no-go, then its off to the store.

When i'm motivated and on a roll the last thing i want is an interruption, especially by something like this.

I'm dumbfounded that they didn't include rechargeable something in these things and provide a usb cable, so when the battery goes dead, you simply plug the usb cable in the computer and continue to work while it charges.

C'mon now Apple, i thought you guys were smarter than this. I even kinda thought you guys were "Green".

Oh and pairing these over bluetooth and getting the machine to find and "recognize" it is another headache in itself.

My advice: If you love headaches, you'll love this product, otherwise don't buy it.

    Mac Wireless Keyboard

    Worthless keyboard in an office

    • Written by from Worcester

The bluetooth gets totally confused and overlaps with other keyboards if you use them in an office with a dozen or more computers. I'm really upset at apple for not selling this form factor keyboard with USB. I've been buying the used USB version off ebay to avoid this wireless junk.
