    nice product:)

    • Written by from Peaks Island

I just got one of these today to use with my ipad 3 I bought it because I wanted to be able to use my ipad as a computer for typing long papers on. It is great so far I love that you can type, go away and then type right away when you come back, no waiting. Overall a very spiffy product! I also love that you can use the keyboard on the ipad if you want to just by pressing the eject key

    Great Keyboard

    • Written by from Etobicoke

This keyboard is easy to use, very portable, and it works well with my iPad and my MBP. It requires a light touch and it connects quickly to any device I pair it with.

It also has a surprising range and I mention this because there is an important caveat about this keyboard. If my laptop has bluetooth on, and this keyboard is stored away in a case, it is possible for it to still connect, especially if a key has been pressed (because the walls of the laptop case are pressing one or many keys). I have seen some weird effects such as the track pad stopped working. Simply put, if you are using bluetooth connectivity, and if this keyboard is within range (about 25 feet the last time it happened), I recommend that the keyboard not be stored in anything that can activate the keys.

    Sublime Product

    • Written by from Tuluá

This is the most useful accesory that I have gotten.

Writing on this keyboard just feel smooth and fast. I have a blog and write every day, and this keyboard (altough it doesn't have numeric pad) has been 100% useful.

Pretty easy to use, beautiful finish, and not to mention that the battery consumption is extremely low, so it works for weeks and even months without a charge.

    Great keyboard

    • Written by from Markham

I found the keyboard to be absolutely wonderful to type on and i find the simple design to be absolutely amazing. The only issue i have is that it doesn't have a number pad attached to it but i guess if it did it wouldn't make this keyboard too portable.

Works beautifully except for the balance problem

    • Written by from PHILADELPHIA

I bought the wireless keyboard for my 27-inch iMac (have been using the Apple extended keyboard) because I wanted to free up a USB slot. It works nicely (I do miss the extended keyboard features, though) except that it's poorly balanced and lightweight-- therefore, it rattles annoying on the surface my desk while I type. I don't know if I can get used to this irritating problem, or find a fix (perhaps some kind of fabric or other material on the desk? I shouldn't have to scrounge around for a fix.

    Works with iPhone 4 too!!!

    • Written by from Austin

You can pair this with your iPhone 4. Will also work with 3G or 3GS running OS 4. I use it for text or email and it makes it so much faster. The arrows and brightness work too. So do the music controls! Can't figure out how to hit 'send' on texts from the keyboard yet...

wasn't as useful as i thought

    • Written by from minsk

first of all i'm an apple-addict. so the first two things i've bought in a few days after my 'the new ipad' were smart cover and in two more days apple wireless keyboard. and when i found smart cover quite useful i can't say so 'bout wireless keyboard. first of all - i think that batteries were actual in 90s, but not in 2012! apple always research smth innovating and leads in progress. somehow, not with this kwyboard. the second thing, that made me gone REALLY crazy 'bout itself was the next thing. when typing a message you can't send it by pressing 'enter' or 'go' or the same stuff. you have to touch the screen. yeah, i know steve said that we have ten stylos on each hand but! what for then 'enter' when using a wireless keyboard? i don't know. and the country i live in, Russia, there are much higher prices on apple products, then in usa. so i've just spent 3490 rubles (or smth 'bout 117 $) on nothing.
after a few minutes using your "innovation" i've put it a box it came from:)

    wired vs wireless

    • Written by from Bogota

i am typing on the 3rd wireless keyboard i have obtained from apple. when i bought my imac it came with both mouse and keyboard; fine and dandy. but when small little problems happen such as not able to connect to bluetooth or watching 5-8 commands go off via internal keyboard when you're pressing the "s" key, thats a big problem. especially when it comes to hot keys and such. now i have spoke to numerous agents on tech support and they say that the keyboard isn't as important when you're trying to configure. that is somewhat true if you do not protect your software with passwords, encryptions, etc.
not for nothing but i would have scrapped these keyboards and about a 20$ wired logitech keyboard because at least problems like what i have previously noted would have greatly decreased. thank apple for the warranty.. thank myself for getting that lil bundle because i don't think apple accessories are covered a warranty. i could be wrong.
oh and as well, if you're a gamer (like myself) both wireless keyboards and wireless mouse will not be your friend. even at its most sensitive

    Not that great quality

    • Written by from MALMÖ

A very nice keyboard if it weren't for all the issues people have with it (do a search nad you'll see). My problems include:

    - Bad interface and manual - when the keyboard malfunctions it's really hard to tell if it's on or not since the LED is lit for a short while and then turns off which could mean several things.
    - Can't run on rechargeble batteries since they only have 1.2V vs 1.5V of non rechargable
    - Mine died after 13 months for no apparent reason.

    Bad idea

    • Written by

Recently decided to replace my 7 year old iMac with a new one. Low and behold Apple has decided to give us a terrible keyboard for use on the iMac. I do not want a partial keyboard on my iMac, I want a FULL keyboard that functions! Not only that, but now I have lost 2 USB ports that we used on our older iMac, this paired with the loss of USB and Firewire ports on the back of the iMac have me very unhappy! Apple, I love the idea of a wireless keyboard and mouse, but I hate the fact that you skimped on a full fledged keyboard!

This keyboard also works with the IPhone. I found this out quite by accident. There are times when Siri and the phone's touch surface just are not enough. Thanks Apple.

    why not a full keyboard...

    • Written by from Coquitlam

If i wanted to type on my laptop's cramped keyboard I would have... This keyboard is not at all practical. I don't want to be limited to having to use the Fn key for EVERYTHING.. I need the Number Keys!. Why didn't Apple come out with the full keyboard with a wireless connection. How annoying. I want a FULL WIRELESS keyboard. I wouldn't buy a keyboard for my laptop if it just mimiced the laptops keyboard anyway... The only reason I am giving it two stars is its power saver, easy to type on, and its pretty. ... Next!

Great keyboard for leprechauns and pixies

    • Written by from CENTREVILLE

I owned this keyboard and ended up throwing it away. The modifier keys on the left and the arrow keys on the right are too tiny. It is too easy to hit the wrong modifier key on the left, which gives unexpected results. It is also too narrow to use on my lap. The keyboard is right for a laptop, but too small for a desk.

I wish Apple would make a wireless keyboard with a standard layout, normal-sized keys, and a number pad so I could get the keyboard cable off my desk. This one seems best suited to tiny hands. I never cease to be amazed that anyone buys it, or that Apple doesn't have a full-sized alternative.

    No numeric keypad

    • Written by from Wallingford

This really needs a numeric keypad. Very time-consuming to use numbers. I do a lot of numeric entry and this slows me down. Agree re touch-typing: cramped. Do need a page up/down and forward delete. Shouldn't have to use to hands to do this.

    Very nice!

    • Written by from Cincinnati

Just purchased this a few days ago to make extended typing a little easier on the iPad - the keyboard is light and ultra portable - syncs with Bluetooth effortlessly - so effortlessly, in fact, that if I want to revert to touch screen functions on the iPad and the keyboard is anywhere nearby, I have to disable Bluetooth in iPad settings. Other reviewers mention that it lacks a 10-key number pad, which is true, but I don't find this particularly problematic as my laptop doesn't have a number pad either. Really nice addition to my iPad accessory bundle - makes it easier to do discussion postings for my online classes because I'm faster with a keyboard than a touchscreen - this may make it totally unnecessary to travel with my full laptop ever again . . .
