    Jamming caps lock

Great keyboard but the caps lock button jams (both off and on) every so often. Probably should take it back to the shop but haven't had the time.

    iTouch and the wireless keyboard

The wireless keyboard works great... with a Mac or an iPad.

I hope Apple will make some changes to the iTouch so it will work with it to someday, but for now it does not.

    Good, but could be better

It looks beautiful, and is easy to type on, but it NEEDS the option of a numeric keypad and a USB port. I have a Mac Mini hooked up to my home theater system, and I don't want to have to get down on my hands and knees every time I want to use the USB, and I'd like to be able to type numbers at a more reasonable speed. Other than that, it's great.

    I love this Keyboard

Well, the title of the review says it all! This is a good keyboard.
The only complaint i have is the battery life....hence only 4 stars.
Also, the lack of a dedicated keypad could be an issue, however I would say for most users its not a deal breaker.

    Great but tiny annoyance.

This keyboard is great and feels good to type on. There is a tiny flaw, the bottom right corner is lifted of the desk about a quarter mm, and when I hit keys near there it hits the desk, and it can get annoying.

great unit if you don't need extra function keys.

I recently updated to an iMac and have had no issues to date. The bluetooth keyboard and mouse that come as standard work very well and have had no drop out issues. The only problem is that I miss the full keyboard functions that I use with certain programs. If you just need a compact keyboard without all the numeric pad and arrow keys, etc it is definitely for you.

It's the MacBook keyboard. Learn your shortcuts.

I find that most reviews on this product are incorrect; based on the customer's lack of knowledge when it comes to Apple shortcuts. One thing I learned switching to Mac is that everything is at my fingertips if I just learn the tricks and make them a habit. Although I DO wish there was a wireless version with numeric pad (like my old iMac wireless keyboard from 2 years ago which has one), I've learned that most of my iMac keys are unnecessary because I've found ways around them on my MacBook - ways around which don't take up more time or effort - and now I don't even use the full keyboard (except for the numeric pad). Apple shortcuts should become second nature, like activating signals in a car -- and what Apple has done is streamlined their keyboards so that they're all the same, instead of desktops having a completely different setup than laptops. Basically, everyone who complained about a lack of page up/page down keys or 'delete forward', etc, didn't think to try the FN key; and complaining about wanting more buttons to increase productivity is hypocritical if you haven't figured out the shortcuts by now. THAT is what will make your productivity fast as lightning. The tinier keyboard taught me how to work faster.

    Small & Magical

The Bluetooth connection is smooth, no problems.
The Keyboard takes up a tiny foot print, no delete key.
The only problem I have is the ergonomics of it can be a little bit of a pain and no numbers pad. I would buy this if just doing normal computer stuff for work or play, but I wouldn't buy it if I had to do some serious work with any design program, etc.

I love how small this is and feels just like my macbook pro. Wish it was backlit, but can't get everything you want. No problems yet and it's a great way to keep the wear-and-tear down on my pc.

The sleek design and the low key profile makes this baby real handy-cool-portable keyboard. But it would be more perfect if it has a wireless full keyboard version and/or illuminated keys.

    Great keyboard, mediocre battery life.

By replacing the batteries with rechargeables, this goes from a 4 star to a 5 star keyboard. It's not exactly configured like my Macbook, so it takes a little getting used to but now I can type on my laptop comfortably just as fast as on a standard keyboard.

Been using this keyboard for about 3 days already and its working great. PC recognized the keyboard right away (using a usb bluetooth adapter). Only downside is that there is no Num pad. Overall its really small and I was so suprised at how slim and small it actually is. Command key works the same was as the windows key does also. Overall i gave it a 4 star for being style, wireless bluetooth, Easy typing. minus 1 star for no num pad.

The "other" computer makers can learn a thing or two for ease of set up and simplicity when it comes to adding/connecting devices. This keyboard along with the wireless mouse I bought with it installed on my iMac without a hitch. I was up and running within 2-3 minutes without the hassle of putting in a cd, downloading updates, etc like I did with my PC when I wanted to add peripherals to it. The only minor gripe about this keyboard is the lack of a numeric keypad, but to me I could live without it.

Keyboard ok but lacking Del key

    • Written by

2 of 4 people found this useful

I can't confirm excessive battery usage, as my wireless keyboard is operating for two month now without changing any battery. By the way it takes three cells instead of two.
There's one thing however i desperately miss, where is my Del key . The lack of a del key makes word processing quite a hassle. It requires a lot of arrow key handling.
Quite inconvenient if I may say

This keyboard is great! Same size as a regular keyboard, takes up so much less space! Its connected by Bluetooth, so now USB port needed, also works from 33 ft. ( 9 meters )

One flaw though, the price. $69 for a keyboard!?

No Numeric Keypad: Beauty over Utilitarianism

    • Written by from Batesville

This kerfuffle about no numeric keypad on the mac wireless keyboard reminds me of falling in love with the "perfect" person...only to want them to change once you have your claws into him or her. The wireless keyboard doesn't have a numeric keypad...because it doesn't. Apple products are about aesthetics as much as design and features. Aesthetics are what true Apple Heads have always coveted. Apple does its best to meld the three. But in the end, it has to feel like art. And if utilitarian aspects, like a numeric keypad, detract from its beauty, lightness/contour, and tactile experience...it has to be jettisoned. This is what all the PC converts to Mac have to understand. Otherwise, break up with Apple and find something else. But don't compromise a beautifully designed Apple product. (Apple please don't start compromising your aesthetics to comply with the masses who are just discovering your products. True AppleHeads have always known who they are and don't want to be brought down several levels. Keep doing what you've always done: making art.)

Good response but just too small

I got a wired and wireless keyboard when I got my 27" iMac last December and if this keyboard had a separate 10 key like the wired I'd be using it. However it sits in a drawer waiting for me to infrequently use it with my Playstation. For which it works great. Get Sanyo Eneloop batteries if you get one.

Really, it is a wireless keyboard. I do not see it as "spectacular" or anything. Sure, it looks nice and goes great with a mac desk setup. It is a bit pricey but that is the price you pay for congruency.
