    Would Like Slant Control

    • Written by from Crockett

This is a wonderful little keyboard. Very compact, very light, fits on my lap without hanging off. Easy to type on although I had to get used to the super flat low profile keys. Some reviewers have said there are no navigation keys, but if you hit Command plus Up Arrow, you get Home, and if you hit Command plus Down Arrow you get End. Hitting Control plus the up and down arrow gives you Page Up, Page Down. So if you use the Command, Control keys you have all the extra keys without the extra space. My only complaint is that the keyboard is permanently slanted down, so the back of the keyboard is higher than the front. Anyone who does a lot of typing knows it's more comfortable to type on a flat keyboard, or even one where the front by the space bar is higher than the back, because hands naturally slant downward away from the body. I fix this by putting a coaster under the front of the keyboard to raise it and make it flat.

    Great overall keyboard but....

    • Written by from holly hill

I absolutely love this little keyboard. The keys respond great, it never drops connection with my iMac, and it even has the shortcut keys for dashboard, brightness level, volume, eject, and multimedia control (rewind, play/pause, fast forward). It's a great space saver with a very sleek, cool design and of course it's wireless. The only reason why I can't give it a full 5* is because of the absence of a numeric pad like traditional keyboards (as well as the Apple USB keyboard). Although I've gotten used to using the numeric buttons on the top of the keyboard, it's a lot easier for accounting purposes to have the little numeric pad on the right. Do yourself a favor and get this keyboard but don't forget to silicon key protector! It, IMH opinion, makes the keys feel that much better and of course it keeps the keyboard from getting dirty.

Great peripheral but could be slightly better

    • Written by from Cornhill-on-Tweed

This keyboard is fantastic. The keys are clicky and responsive like those of a Mac notebook and it has a decent selection of shortcuts that work on the iPad. However on bugbear for me is that I still need to use the iPad's screen to navigate to e.g. Spotlight search adn to select an app or something else from Spotlight however I also feel that this ability to use the keyboard for further navigation throughout iOS could be achieved in an iOS software update from apple. nevertheless it is still a wonderfully engineered piece of equiptment and I would certaainly reccomend it! Dramatically increased my worlds per minute which it really useful for me!!

    Excellent Keyboard- expensive batteries

    • Written by from East Bethany

I absolutely love the design. The keys are responsive enough that it doesn't aggravate my tendonitis like old clunkers do.
I switched to the wireless because of the mobility around my room- because of the accessibility features on the iMac, I can zoom in on my screen, which means I can sit on my bed ten feet from my computer and still stay on the internet.
As far as the lack of keypad, I am a fast typer who has always use the keypad- it slowed me down a little. I just invested an hour of my time practicing using the normal number keys and my typing is unaffected. There are also shortcuts for the opposite of backspace (function + delete), page up/down (function up/down arrow) and more, so the keys that are missing are still usable.
My only problem is the battery life. I get about a week out of it, and I'm not a heavy user on the keyboard. I'm a moderate user, and in talking to other moderate users, I should get at least a month if not more. My mouse gets several months but my new keyboard has already gone through 4 batteries in less than three weeks.

    Keyboard finally failed.

    • Written by from Greenview

This keyboard worked great on 2 AA batteries, also on rechargeables, and lasts a long long time on a charge even if left on, but it finally started to fail to be read by the iMac 27 inch. Mouse gets read so I knew it was the keyboard. Changed batteries, tested batteries, cleaned contacts, everything snug in battery compartment, but it just is not findable. I know the power is on, the power light comes on as usual, and the CAPS Lock light comes on as it should. Just no longer readable. Real disappointment from Apple on this. Hope this is an unusual case, as replacements are just a little pricey. It would also be nice to have the touchpad as part of the keyboard, but it is not.

    Very Good Keyboard

    • Written by from Mitchell

I bought the keyboard because I wanted to have a wireless keyboard to control my computer that I have connected to my HD TV. The keybaord connects within a few seconds of me turning it on and it never loses its connection. I like that It goes into a sleep mode if I let it sit for a few minutes to save its battery, and it wakes back up when I start typing again. It also does very well on power, I got the keyboard 6 months ago and the battery is still going strong. I was very happy to see that it connects to my windows pc as well as my ipod touch.

I would recomend this keyboard to anyone who is in the market for one.

however I wouldnt recomend it for gaming because it has trouble transmitting when you hold multiple keys down, the problem goes away for the most part when you use it closer to the computer but that defeats the purpose of it being wireless.

    Numeric Pad, Please

    • Written by from Rancho Cordova

The combination of a wireless extended keyboard with the numeric pad and the new trackpad would complete the setup! Come on Apple, there are more and more business users out there who NEED the numeric pad and Want wireless! That would be 5 Stars!

It works, but not as comfortable as full size

    • Written by from new rochelle

I got this wireless keyboard with my Imac. A friend bought an Imac a year earlier, and that one came with the extended (cabled) keyboard. The extended keyboard has dedicated numeric pad and seems somewhat wider and easier to type on. I've gotten used to the wireless version, but it doesn't seem as comfortable as a full keyboard. Also, the key 'throw' is short like all apple keyboards and that takes some getting used to. Overall it's ok. Battery life is very good. Perhaps six months or so. As for set-up, synching, etc., no worries there, either.

while the functionality of the keyboard is awesome, it's just a bit small. I'm probably going to buy the keyboard with the numeric keypad anyway.

    Battery Read Problem, Otherwise Great

    • Written by from chester

This keyboard always shows low battery on my imac, even after I put fresh ones in. It can last for months on "low battery". Its an annoying pop-up every time I log in, but otherwise this keyboard is great. The keys are nicely spaced apart, so its very easy to type with. I high recommend going wireless to anyone willing two lose a number pad.

Great device but needs wireless numeric keypad companion

    • Written by from Ottawa

I love this device. I have one for my MacBook Air and another one for my iPad and iPhone. Apple needs to develop a companion wireless numeric keypad or another wireless keyboard with numeric keypad. I would definitely buy one. I tried a couple of others and all they did was annoy me to death and I threw them out. Other point: could we have a ergo-dynamic version as well. Great job Apple.

    Good Keyboard

    • Written by from Naperville

This is a good keyboard, and it does everything it's advertised to do. The only thing that prevents me from rating this as a five-star product is the lack of backlighting. A backlit wireless keyboard would be very ideal. As far as personal preference, I wouldn't mind buying the extra batteries for the backlight, nor do I personally mind NOT having a numeric keypad (because this keyboard is identical to my MacBook Pro's keyboard). But as far as this keyboard, it's fantastic. I use this keyboard in my dorm room at college when my MacBook Pro is on my desk, and I'm sitting on my bed surrounded by books. I simply zoom in/make the text bigger on my Pages document, and I type my papers, do research, citations, etc with ease. I'd recommend this keyboard for anyone!

    Why no numeric keypad?

    • Written by from Apple Valley

This keyboard is downright amazing with some incredible range. Whilst advertised at 33 feet, I've seen this guy go almost 60 feet. Great for setting up a presentation table or for use with a computer on a TV works well. But, c'mon, Apple, give us a numeric keypad!

One of the best keyboards, hands down!

    • Written by

This keyboard is probably the best keyboard that I have ever used. I am already a fast typer but the design of this keyboard makes typing even more effortless.

The slight tilt is also helpful in allowing the typer to avoid wrist cramping/carpel tunnel syndrome (as opposed to the laptops).

I find this keyboard to be compact and small, yet it still allows me to complete my tasks efficiently.

Also, I like that it is uses bluetooth and is completely wireless, it doesn't take up any usb slots.

    Connection Problems

    • Written by from Brisbane

I love this little thing, I bought this at JB HI FI. $100 I thought must be a great little thing. Smooth, Light, Portable. Playing WoW on my TV in bed with this Keyboard and my Logitech M305 Wireless mouse is so much easier then straining my back in a chair. Only problem I have is the fact It will say Connection Lost then Connected again. Not sure if it's the Keyboard, My New MacBook Pro which has Mac OS 10.6.7 I'm just lost as to what it would be. Maybe it's to do with the Keyboard putting itself to sleep (if it does). I hope someone has had the same problem or someone that knows what's going on can Let me Know.
