    Great keyboard... but

    • Written by from Avoca

I love the feel of this keyboard. It's very crisp, and very well responsive. However, mine randomly losing signal, and when this happens, it keeps cutting in and out. Don't know what to do about it, not sure if the batteries are just at the end, because when it reconnects, it says they're at 100%.

Hopefully it's just mine. Hopefully, if I buy another one some day, I don't have these same problems.

    Where's the !@$@#%#$^&!! number pad????

    • Written by

I really can't use this at work, since it has no number pad like the old keyboard. Also feels a bit cramped, and I keep hitting the caps lock button. Other than that, I guess it is a pretty darn good bit o keyboard.

    Good....but

    • Written by from Lomita

The design is great and the feel of the buttons is different than previous models, but you get used to it rather quickly. No problem there. My problem is that it does not have a numerical keypad. I did not know that when I optioned out of the wired keyboard and chose the wireless one during my MacPro purchase. After the computer arrived and I realized there was no numerical keypad, I was disappointed but hoped I wouldn't miss the keypad that much. I found that if you used it in the past for passwords or any other numerical type of entry, you will miss it every time with this model. I have no idea why Apple doesn't offer two wireless models. One without a numerical keypad and one with. I am selling my wireless keyboard and purchasing one with a keypad. I lasted 5 months.

Nicely done ... just need extended keyboard features

    • Written by from SAINT LOUIS PARK

A page up/down, forward delete and 10-key are pretty much a must for me. I'm still having trouble adjusting, so may have to set this one aside, which is a pity.

Really like the feel and wireless capability, just too limited.

Nicest feel of any key you'll use. Very quiet too. This keyboard increases the gap between quiet and LOUD clunky old keyboards you hear in your office.

As much as I love convenience of the wireless keyboard, I put it away permanently because it is an utter battery hog.

    Wireless Keyboard

    • Written by from Yonkers

Had my keyboard for a few years now. One consistant problem is the keyboard lossing connection to my mini mac. Others have had this problem as I read through the reviews.

Other then that it works fine

Great but why no numbers pad

    • Written by from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu

It's a great keyboard to type on and the wireless part of it is amazing, but I am baffled by the fact that there is no numeric keypad and no page up/down section.. My bad I guess because I never checked upon purchase of the iMac, but it wasn't unreasonable to just assume it would be a normal keyboard with an awesome computer like that.. Now I'm thinking of just buying the wired version and selling this one because I really got used to the numbers at the right.. By reflex I still try to use it and I end up tapping my desk.. Kinda disappointed overall personally, but good device nonetheless.

    Wireless keyboard needs extended keyboard

    • Written by from Wichita

I am a numbers guy and need the extended keyboard. The Wireless Keyboard offered does not have that option. They need to offer that on the next one. Otherwise I love it. It works great and battery life is good.

Great Keyboard - Two Things Missing

    • Written by from Darien

I use this keyboard at my office with an iMac. I love typing on it and moving it around my desk as I need to. The feel is great and it looks good too. But I HATE the lack of number keys and directional keys. I bought the SMC separate keypad to fix the number entry issue, but that goes to sleep so fast, I'm constantly wakening it. I guess I'll buy another brand's bluetooth keyboard that has a full complement of keys.

    Could be better

    • Written by from Salem

Having a keyboard for the ipad is nice. But this one has a really bad angle. Why did they think they needed that? Anyway, I found a solution. You just put a magazine under the lip so it stays flat. The magazine also gives your wrists a place to rest. But the reviews are right. The keys are too far apart, the angle is wrong and it hurts to type. They did not do quality control on this. On the pro side, it is very small and lightweight so it is good for travel which is why I bought it and it is a fair price for a bluetooth keyboard. I am on thei ipad now and there is no way I could have typed all of this without a keyboard.... also the delete key is too far over but I am sure I will get used to it after hitting the plus sign a number of times.... so in summary, with the magazine it works. Without the magazine, it is a joke....

    Not right for me

    • Written by from Johnston

This is the keyboard that came with my new iMac. It does work, just not very well for me. I kept finding myself reaching for the numeric keypad, the Home, End, Page Up/Down and Delete keys. I missed not having them so much that I got a wired, full size keyboard to use.

This is nice, but it just couldn't do the job. I truly wish that Apple had a wireless, full size keyboard as an option when buying an iMac.

    Really? No keypad?

    • Written by from San Rafael

I mean, that says it all. It'd be a handy little keyboard, if it had a keypad so I could actually WORK on it. As such, I had to go and dig out an older Apple wireless keyboard (white one) to avoid wire clutter. Some bad decision making on Apple's part, for sure.

    Just ok for ipad

    • Written by from Syosset

Bought this for my iPad but it drains the battery very fast. If your going to be doing a lot of typing expect the life to be cut in half, sometimes not even. Two hours of typing today cut 40% of life. Otherwise it's very nice to type on.

    iPad Synching Issue

    • Written by from Des Peres

I love the keyboard and it synch's up very easily with the iPad but beware! The instructions accompanying the keyboard explain the synching process with an iMac but no mention of the iPad.

*You must turn - on the iPad's blue tooth feature in order to synch the two. It took me an hour to figure out this little isse. Apple should include a "quick start" set of instructions.

Cool keyboard, loses connection too easily

    • Written by from New York

The design, size, the feel of each key press is very good. One major problem that forced me to go back to the wired keyboard was that it would lose connection and then reconnect after a few seconds, at least a few times a day, and it was too much distraction.

lousy battery life, picky about batteries

    • Written by from Broadview Heights

The battery compartment holder is stupid, but my keyboard will not work with nickel zinc rechargeables, which have a 1.6 volt output. Also, being a bluetooth device, this thing is a battery hog. My Logitech keyboard runs for months and months on batteries. Other than missing a numeric pad, however, it is a pretty nice unit.

    Limited functionality on iPad

    • Written by

I was planning to use the keyboard with some terminal apps in order to access my mac remotely from my iPad. The keyboard is great when entering text. However, many keyboard shortcuts do not work. From the web pages of some app developers, the reason seems to be that the iOS API does not support all the keyboard shortcuts. If this issue were addressed, the ipad would be the ultimate remote access solution.

    KEYPAD PLEASE!!!

    • Written by from Chestertown

Ok - I have to say I love love love this keyboard. It is great. But after using it for a couple days, I realize how much I actually use the numeric pad and the "delete forward" button. And I miss them. I really, really miss them. I'm not sure if it's too big a price to pay for the wirelessness - I just wish there was an option for a wireless extended keyboard. I would be ALL OVER THAT.

As it is, I suppose I'm going to mend my ways, because this little keyboard is otherwise compact, beautiful, and feels good under the fingers.

3 stars for making me sad about no number pad.

    Functions great, but not durable.

    • Written by from Storrs

I bought this keyboard about a month ago and I use it exclusively with my iPad. I carry it in my back pack in the laptop section of my bag. I've had to replace three keys already. I couldn't find a sturdy case for just the keyboard only while searching online, so I built a sturdy wooden box out of oak boards and lined the inside of the box with foam that I picked up at a craft store. I definitely recommend getting a case for this if you plan on carrying it around like I do. Otherwise, you'll be paying about $6 per every key that breaks.

    Great keyboard, needs a case!

    • Written by from Camrose

I like this keyboard, it's light, compact and works really well. Problem is, I have to take it to school, in a backpack filled with textbooks and stuff, so the I am afraid that the keys are going to get messed up, anybody know where I can get a case for it? I have looked at various retail stores, and online and got nothing.
