Well made product for the 'average' user although I have had no problems yet I am sure that with heavy use it will be more likely to fail in certain crutial ways.
    Otherwise its a great product.

Cons: I wish it would turn on and off quicker because like most people, I dont like to wait.

The button that holds the batteries for the keyboard in place easily works it's way loose and there does not seem to be a replacement part, instead it looks as if I have to buy an entirely new keyboard.

Plus, does not come with a travel case for protection

    Good keyboard, One flaw

I bought this keyboard and have had it for about a week or so, and really fell in love with it. One major flaw, and I understand its not with all of them, but the keyboard is not centered right. When I hit the left "shift" key, the keyboard seems to bounce on the left side. The rubbers of the keyboard dont seem to be aligned correctly. In other words the keyboard rocks side to side when typing. Very annoying. Because i have lost the receipt to this keyboard I have put scotch tape under one of the rubbers to even it out.

Decent Keyboard but pricey for what you get

Overall this is an excellent keyboard. Small enough for easy transport and what not but large enough to use comfortably. My biggest qualm is the lack of a number pad. I am very used to having a number pad and the lack of it drives me crazy sometimes.

Got the actual thing after replacing a knock off that kept dropping the signal. I can tell you this keyboard is perfectly spaced, the keys feel very nice and smooth, and it's some of the easiest typing I've ever done. Within the first hour of using it, it has become my favorite keyboard.

On start up, my iMAC frequently can not find the apple wireless keyboard that is turned on and has been paired with this computer. After a couple of minutes, the iMAC recognizes the keyboard but cannot pair with it. This can go on for 15 minutes or more. When your computer is password protected, this is a major problem. Changing the batteries in the keyboard doesn't help. Turning the keyboard off and on again doesn't help. Restarting the computer doesn't help. I bought the computer in October and this has been a continuing problem. I hate the wireless keyboard!

The key spacing is about 90% of a standard keyboard --- it makes my hands hurt to use it all day. (I'm a programmer, so I spend a lot of the day typing.) I've also had two of them fail within a year (in both cases, an entire row of keys stopped working). They can't take heavy use.

Picked up this keyboard along with the Magic Mouse. I find the keyboard a little small with the absence of the number pad but the keyboard works well. I still have the wired keyboard under the desk. If I want to switch back but so far I haven't. The keyboard feels the same and types the same as the orginal wired version. I do like the fat that the desk top if free of the wires.

i love this keyboard.. i totally understand why people wouldnt want this for their mac because of the compact size and the absence of a number pad but i use it for my iPad for typing papers and things. i didnt like typing on the ipad becasue i always made errors but this makes things much easier. if you use your ipad for more than just apps, i totally reccomend it it makes life so much easier.

i recently got a 27 inch iMac with the keyboard and trackpad, i thought they were both really great, i moved them a lot, because i was in the process of getting a new desk, i had it set up on a table in front of my bed, and when i moved the keyboard and pad from the table sometimes, i noticed chips in the aluminum body, in both the keyboard and the track pad. other than that, i thought they were pretty good.

    Mind of its own!

I purchased this wireless keyboard to replace the dock-type keyboard I had been using with my iPad. I like the wireless keyboard, but am now experiencing the most irritating quirk. I'll be typing and the keyboard will stop reponding and the iPad built-in keyboard will pop up on screen. I have to sit and wait and then the built-in kepboard will go away and the wireless keyboard will work again. In fact, just in the time I've been typing this review, this has happened 5 times! In addition to this probem, sometimes the keyboard will just take off on its own (6 times now, in case you're counting), sometimes the keyboard will just get a mind of its own and keep typing the last letter I hit and it will run with it and the only way to stop it is to rub my hands over the entire keyboard and hit as many keys as I can. Then I have to use the delete key to erase all the 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeee's" or whatever key (7 times now) whatever key happens to go wild. I need the keyboard and like the touch. It could be a (8 times now), It could be a good product, (9 times now), but it is nearly not usable with this flaw. Wish I knew why it is doing what it is doing. Maybe I should just return the product. That's too much money to spend and then not have something reliable.

    Battery Leaks

Not only did the battery leak, it froze the cap shut so I had to throw away the whole keyboard. That is not being environmentally friendly!

Love, love, love the keyboard. It has really changed the way I can use my iPad. My iPad never ceases to amaze me but this is a huge improvement and gives me such increased flexibility.

    Serious Travel

I have had this keyboard since June 2011 and travel extensively. The keyboard is very functional and I like typing on it very much. Feels pretty much like the keyboard on my MacBook Pro 17". The keyboard is not collapsible, which makes it a little difficult to travel with, because I pack my computer case with a lot of other things, including my laptop and iPad. I throw the keyboard in my large check-in suitcase between the clothes. I have been doing this for months and traveled all over the world and the keyboard always works great when I pull it out of the suitcase. I worry that it will get bent in the suitcase, but so far the aluminum construction has held up.

For meetings I do not take the keyboard, but just type notes on the iPad keypad. I don't like to, but this keyboard, though, portable, is just a little too big for taking to meetings, in my opinion. A have taken it, so it is more or less a matter of preference.

I have not used any other portable keyboards, so can't compare it to others. Four stars because of the portability issue.

This small keyboard is HORRIBLE. If you pay over $2200 for a computer you should get an adult sized keyboard! The keys stick and apple sells NO replacements! They missed the boat on this one totally!

Nice KB but watch out for battery leaks

    • Written by from Granite Bay

I have multiple keyboards and only use this one sparingly. The problem is the battery compartment. If you leave unused batteries in there too long, they leak and are effectively cemented inside. You cannot remove them without damaging the keyboard beyond repair. So buy the keyboard if you intend to use it often and replace weak batteries at once. Otherwise, beware.

    The Missing Piece

I love this keyboard. i've had the ipad for about three or four months, and my only complaint about it is typing. i avoided typing longer emails on it because it just took me so long to "hunt and peck" on the ipad. i finally got the wireless keyboard - set up was a breeze. and after only playing with it one day, i would say this is the essential component that was missing from my ipad experience. i was taught to type properly (on a typewriter!) and so i never could get used to typing on the ipad; the keyboard makes all the difference for me.

my only "complaint" is that i can't use functions; or the arrows to scroll through a pre-populated list - like a keyboard on a computer. but since i got the keyboard for typing, and not those other things, i'm ok with that.

i highly recommend this product for people who miss the bumps under the "f" and "j" when typing on the ipad.

For the love of Pete, will you give us a wireless keyboard with a numeric keypad? This product is for a desktop and I do not want or need a lap keyboard for my desktop. I need a fully functional wireless keyboard, not a toy.

I bought this keyboard as an addition to my MacBook Pro. It is very comfortable to use and looks great. The only drawback is the lack of backlighting but otherwise it is the best wireless keyboard I've ever owned!
