    Ergonomics anyone?

    This goes for both the wireless and the wired keyboard with number pad.
    It doesn't matter how shiny, streamlined and flashy you make it. I don't care if it weighs less than a fly's wing and you can stuff it in the smallest bag you can find for easy portability...Mac Keyboards are not ergonomic. If, like me, you spend a considerable amount of time typing, then these are the worst keyboards ever made.
    Why can't they make something that will not hurt you in the long run?

    Broke, wouldn't buy again

    Delivery, setup & connection fine - a functional, ergonomic keyboard, until you come to change the batteries.

    The battery access cap is seized and is bending coins (the opening tool) before it will open. Solution to this problem on the apple support forum is 'buy a new keyboard' !

    I will get a replacement, but it won't be apple. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

    Do not buy

    the bluetooth is terrible, even with fresh batteries, the connectivity is iffy. don't buy this. ended up having to plug in an old school MAc keyboard. it simply won't connect.

    Tiny

    The keyboard is lovely and compact and probably works well for those who are used to a laptop keyboard. I'm used to a full sized ergonaumic keyboard and I cannot use this one. I have to spend money for another keyboard and haven't found one that is compatible.

    Worthless

    Three months old. Eats up batteries far too quickly. Same for the mouse. Brand new batteries and continued "Connection Lost" resulting in last key press repeating endlessly until "Connection established" again. Wasted way more time fighting this thing than its worth. I'll stick with my extended USB board with a numeric keypad. This one is going straight to the landfill.

    NOT WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION

    I have bought 3, YES THREE, of this product, and each time, one has failed me. The delete key breaks and stops working, the KB will go wacko and just unabatedly enter the same key without me touching a thing. And many others issues.

    I BOUGHT THREE OF THESE

    this must show it's a piece of junk. i like it's size and it's user-friendliness, and all the fancy aspects of it, but i have given up on it.

    Batteries get stuck!

    Be careful not to leave your batteries in too long. They will get stuck inside with no chance of removal. Particularly Lithium AAs.

    Poor product, waste of money

    I have had this product for just over two years - it has given me problems straight after buying. At first I thought that it was something to do with my mac however I have tried it with others and hate to say, it is the least favourite of my Mac purchases. For starters, my Mac Book Pro doesn't see the keyboard via Bluetooth, despite the lights blinking on the product. Once connected, expect to find multiple letters typed out for every one you type.

    Worst Apple keyboard yet

    This keyboard is the most unpredictable Apple product I own. Sometimes it will work flawlessly, sometimes it won't. It always goes berserk come time to replace the batteries. It will never reconnect to my Mac. I always have to go through a secret initiation process that Apple itself won't even publish to get the shiny metal waste-of-money to pair with my other shiny Apple products.

    I miss my white Apple bluetooth keyboard.

    Basic, basic problem

    You can never tell if it's on or off. When you turn it on, a little light blinks green once. And when you turn it off, guess what -- that's right, a little light blinks green once. So you have no way of knowing if it's off or on!!!!

    A bunch of us have just taken to taking the batteries out and carrying them separately.

    Bad idea

    Recently decided to replace my 7 year old iMac with a new one. Low and behold Apple has decided to give us a terrible keyboard for use on the iMac. I do not want a partial keyboard on my iMac, I want a FULL keyboard that functions! Not only that, but now I have lost 2 USB ports that we used on our older iMac, this paired with the loss of USB and Firewire ports on the back of the iMac have me very unhappy! Apple, I love the idea of a wireless keyboard and mouse, but I hate the fact that you skimped on a full fledged keyboard!

    Are you looking for a keyboard that will last about a year and look great doing it? If so this keyboard is for you. I’m now on my second one and it always loses the connection with my iMac and has been displaying random battery messages yet the batteries are new Duracells.

    Keys stopped working

    One year and 2 weeks after purchasing this keyboard with a new 21" iMac several keys just stopped working, rendering it useless. I checked online and this seems to be a fairly common problem. I've been a Dell user for over a decade and last year switched to a Mac based on rave reviews from friends. So far I've been unimpressed. Six weeks after purchasing the iMac the hard drive failed. Now the keyboard has failed. I don't know what will fail next, but this is becoming the most expensive computer I've ever owned......and not because of the quality.

    Heels for fingers, looks sexy but painful

    Going to keep it short as possible,

    Like with all Apple products, they all look very sexy and attractive like women in heels however it comes at a cost, and that cost is that it is painful (literally), all of apple's keyboards both on their desktop and laptops are incredibly flat. For me and a few other people apple users out there, A little too Flat, that its caused some pretty stiff and intense Repeitive Stress Injuries (RSI) in my hands and fingers

    If you value comfort over form switch to another keyboard, some thats not so flat, and more ergonomic, personally i like the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 keyboard. Plugs in via USB, and all the keys are there and work. However if your going to tough be prepared to see a occupational injury physio therapist.


    Summery
    Beautiful but lethal on fingers
    Try it before you buy it, the pain does not appear right away. for me it came up 2-3 days of use after i started on it.

    wireless keyboard

    I was very, very disappointed in the quality of the wireless keyboard that came with my new iMac. It is too small and too lightweight, it is difficult to type on because the keys are too smooth and flat. Also, the mouse was too small to feel adequate in my hand.

    So......I had to go out and buy a Microsoft wireless keyboard - that had the number pad on the right as Apple deleted that - and a wireless mouse.

    And now some of the functions don't work with the iMac even though the model I bought is supposed to be compatible with the iMac.

    Just really, really disappointed in Apple putting such a cheap keyboard & mouse with such a fine desk top computer.
