Nice design, poor functionality!

This is the first Apple product that I seriously hate. Cannot regain connectivity after system loss. Going back to the wired keyboard!

I'm on my second keyboard now and they are great while they last, but both of them had the same issue within 6 months of purchase. They continually disconnect from the host Mac. I have found MANY blogs on this exact issue and followed all of the "fixes" without any success for either keyboard. I figured I had a lemon with the first one, but obviously it is a product issue. Don't waste your money...

I've used little time at day, but g and h don´t work anymore, 1 1/2 year and not function !!!! no way!!!!!

The wireless design and ultra-minimalist look are great. The problem in my opinion is that function and ergonomics were given a backseat or no consideration at all and the design and aesthetics of the keyboard was the only consideration. There is no way to adjust the tilt of the keyboard in the back, nothing to rest your wrists on, and the numerical keypad was removed for some odd reason I don't understand. So get this keyboard if you want sore wrists and want to find and pick at the linear numbers in a QWERTY way. There is the wired keyboard with the 10-key numerical keypad, yet it solves the 10 key problem by creating another problem. That keyboard also has no place to put your wrists either. With that said, if you have a high end retail store or salon/spa and only need to type in a name and address at a time, and being ultra-chic is the priority, this is the keyboard for you. Not a keyboard for a serious keyboardist.

It's nice that the design and top-row function buttons mimic my macbook, and I like the wireless feature. But I don't recommend this for an everyday keyboard. It's totally the opposite of ergonomically friendly, as is the magic trackpad. I have both at my office and both are causing use-related stiffness and pain (9-5, M-F use, with macbook usage outside of those hours/days). I would prefer that my desktop keyboard be more comfortable than my laptop keyboard, but that is not the case. I wish Apple would offer more ergonomically friendly products.

This keyboard has only one Control key and that key is narrow and not in the lower-left corner. This makes editing in Emacs cumbersome.

There are no page up/down keys. To scroll a text window by one page, one must hold the "fn" key and tap the up or down arrow key. This cannot be done with one hand, which makes it an accessibility issue.

On start up, my iMAC frequently can not find the apple wireless keyboard that is turned on and has been paired with this computer. After a couple of minutes, the iMAC recognizes the keyboard but cannot pair with it. This can go on for 15 minutes or more. When your computer is password protected, this is a major problem. Changing the batteries in the keyboard doesn't help. Turning the keyboard off and on again doesn't help. Restarting the computer doesn't help. I bought the computer in October and this has been a continuing problem. I hate the wireless keyboard!

This small keyboard is HORRIBLE. If you pay over $2200 for a computer you should get an adult sized keyboard! The keys stick and apple sells NO replacements! They missed the boat on this one totally!

This keyboard out of the box was so uneven. Typing long papers is a nightmare. It would rock back and forth with every key typed. I tried bending it to stay even but no luck. Thinking about buying a Logitech its so bad.

How did this silly thing get a green flag for mainstream? I absolutely HATE it! But its nice to look at.

If you use your computer for anything important, the wireless keyboard and mouse is going to drive you nuts.

This is how it goes:
Your working on big project, your on a roll, being productive and BLAM! all of a sudden you can't type any more words! You realize the keyboard just went dead. Now what? You probably don't keep a fresh supply of batteries around the house so you go scrimmaging for batteries and pull em out of whatever you can find them in - the tv remote, your little brothers toys, your aunties dresser drawer. If all those are a no-go, then its off to the store.

When i'm motivated and on a roll the last thing i want is an interruption, especially by something like this.

I'm dumbfounded that they didn't include rechargeable something in these things and provide a usb cable, so when the battery goes dead, you simply plug the usb cable in the computer and continue to work while it charges.

C'mon now Apple, i thought you guys were smarter than this. I even kinda thought you guys were "Green".

Oh and pairing these over bluetooth and getting the machine to find and "recognize" it is another headache in itself.

My advice: If you love headaches, you'll love this product, otherwise don't buy it.
