There is ZERO navigational control with this. I bought this and the Ipad stand so that i could casually write emails and other light use on my couch with the Ipad on my coffee table. ($100 extra). There are so few shortcuts and so little thought put into the software design that it is virtually useless. You have to hit where you want to type and then type. Yes you can type with it...but it is a pain to lean forward and hit where you want to type and then put down the keyboard and navigate around. It is impossible to hold both at the same time obviously. Just give me a home button, and tab button with actual functionality and the ability to scroll through apps. PLEASE.

I cannot do power typing on this keyboard AT ALL--I make numerous typos. So...I slide out my keyboard drawer, put a plug in keyboard that I had in the garage, and keep the wireless one in back of the keyboard. I love the look of the wireless keyboard, and what it's about, but can't use it!! I am very disappointed. Does anyone have an idea how to have a 'plug-in keyboard' that is totally compatible with Mac, and you can actually power type on it???

Very frustrated with the wireless keyboard and the separate numeric keyboard. Goes through batteries quickly, loses connection often and hard to get paired again. I also have the track pad and love it. For some reason, it has no problems, but constantly having problems with the keyboards. Also, it takes 10-15 seconds after striking the first key before the computer recognizes the keyboard. I like the feel and idea of bluetooth, but not worth the constant frustration.

I liked this keyboard a lot until the batteries corroded and fused the battery compartment shut. Apparently this is a common failing of AAs. The 'sleek' design is now working against me as there is no way to get it open. Had to buy a whole new keyboard!

When it actually works, it's great, but the connection drops every few minutes, and has since I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. I'll spend ten or fifteen seconds at a time waiting for the keyboard to reconnect so I can retype my sentences. Worse are the stuck kkkkkkkkkeys, but this morning, that stuck key was "delete," which was... utterly infuriating. So, here I am. The batteries are brand new; the keyboard is 18" or so from the computer; the keyboard is paired and is a "favorite;" the only other BT device is my flawlessly working Magic Trackpad; I have the latest firmware on an iMac running 10.6.8. It's brand new. Yet, I can't work with this thing without a constant stream of interruptions. I hate this keyboard, and would be remiss not to say so here.

After just over a year, the shift key stopped to work for the top and bottom rows of letters. It only worked on the middles row (A-L, etc.)

Then the keyboard would change the screen brightness on its own. When I turned it off, there was no problem with the brightness being adjusted.

The form is quite nice, especially the smaller footprint. I bought it to save a USB port. I put my laptop on a platform, 10" above my desk and use the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to have the monitor at the right hight while working at the desk.

I will not buy a new one unless Apple offers apple care.

I am rating this only 2 stars because in reality I'd like Apple to bring back (as an option) a full wireless keyboard. I don't like to use Fn for function keys, be restricted to the left side only for "control" and the cramped "notebook" style keyboard makes little sense to some people (like me) that wish to connect a REAL keyboard to our notebooks.

This keyboard came standard with my iMac that I purchased in October of 2010. Up until about 3 months ago I thought it worked well despite the fact that the caps lock key would stick randomly (I didn't even need to use it for it "lock" itself) and the caps lock light would turn on or off on it's own and didn't necessarily reflect the use of the key. It's a small keyboard but I have small hands so I got used to it and I'm sure the the cost of the AA batteries it drains has more than paid for the keyboard. NOW the thing has decided to start disconnecting at it's leisure, generally after locking a key I'm using and typing that letter or # about 1000 times. This will happen once or twice during use or even as often as 14 times (yes, I counted), at which point I gave up and walked away. It does this with new batteries and old. My wireless mouse was also randomly disconnecting so now I'm using an old wired mouse but I'm still trying to stick it out with this keyboard. It's disconnected once while typing this review. If you have this keyboard b/c it came with a purchase, great. Use it while you can. If you're looking to buy it as an accessory I wouldn't recommend it.

Why don't they put the numeric pad into the wireless one???

The main problem is still the connectivity though: just 2-3 feet away and it looses the connection and takes forever to reconnect.

First apple product of which I'm disappointed.
