The new wireless keyboard is great, but i can surely say that the other part on the right (the numbers) was very useful, i miss it.. if theres any way to buy it, separately, i would! :)

I love my new Mac.(July 2011) That said, I am still learning how to do the things I used to do on my PC now on the MAC. One thing I would like to do is program the function keys. In some of the PREFERENCES you can customize the Fn keys; all of them to #19....the only problem I have now is that with the standard keyboard you only have 12 Fn keys so some of the standard ops in the PREFERENCES section are just not available to me. As with other reviewers i love the ability to type better on this keyboard than on my PC ones...if only the full size apple numeric keyboard came in a wireless version.......I'm thinking ahead now....

I just purchased the keyboard and I have to say, the setup time was the fastest and easiest setup of anything I have ever installed. Unlike the statement above says: "install on the computer first", you don't need to do that at all for the ipad2. It takes more time to get it out of the box then it does to set it up. Pull it out of the box, turn the power button on (on the right), turn bluetooth on in the utilities app and punch in the code it tells you to punch in. Boom. Done. I'll have to use it a while before I can give the product a 5 but it is so compact and clean. Anxious to see how long the batteries last.

Works with my iphone, I also connected to my Vizio 3d TV with internet apps.
It sure beats typing with the remote. Would have gave 5 stars if it had more keys like pgup and down.

The keyboard is nice and works well. It makes typing on the iPad much easier. However, I worry about traveling with it. I kept the box to protect it while carrying in my briefcase or carry-on. But it would be nice to have some way to protect and attach to my iPad for transport. Of course, I probably should have bought a case with a built-in keyboard.

The Apple wireless keyboard is a great product. Reliable. Useful. Compatible. Its software even tells you when the batteries are running low in plenty of time to replace them. I use my keyboard as part of a desktop setup with a MacBook and I've also used it with an iPad.

What don't I like?
1. No reminder on which way to insert the batteries.
2. No number keypad.
3. No "forward delete" key. You have to use FCN+DEL for forward delete.
3. Can be just a bit dodgy on the initial pairing and the return pairing if the keyboard and its host machine have been separated.

I do love my wireless keyboard. The design is oh so elegant and the operation is quite beautiful. I love using it and would rather type on that than the PC keyboard I am forced to use at work. The one complaint I have is that when I stow the keyboard next to my iPad in my briefcase, the iPad comes on at random, and often starts playing random music from the iPod ap, which is not a good thing. I thought at first it was a problem with the iPad, but then discovered it did not happen when I turned off the blue-tooth on the iPad before I stowed both in my briefcase. What seems to happen is keys on the keyboard get pushed inside my briefcase, causing activiation of the iPod ap causing it to play music. Turning the blue-tooth off before I put it away and on again (through the settings ap) when I am ready to use it is a bit of a pain (yes, Apple has spoiled me) and it seems like there should be simple solution. Such as locking the keyboard with a quick key or key combination. Other than that feature, I would give a whole-hearted five-stars.

Love the keyboard. Typical Apple product with first rate fit and finish. Only two minor complaints are that it is slightly cramped, and would like some iPad functionality keys. With larger hands it would be nice to have a little more size. However, for portability, it travels great with my iPad. I use it with multiple iOS devices and have no problems pairing it up. On the iPad it would be nice to have a home key, etc...

Close to a 5, but just misses.

I have two of these. One (which I'm using right now) is used for my iPad 2. It is a HUGE improvement over using the onscreen touch keyboard. It paired easily and there is no lag (better have the latest iOS update). I use the other paired with my 21" iMac. Without the number key pad, it can make some design work (number intensive charts/graphs) hard do to. I wish Apple would come out with a wireless thin keyboard with the number pad...I'll keep waiting. I just can't see myself going back to a wired keyboard. Battery usage (AAs) seems reasonable, I end up changing batteries every 2-3 months and that's using it everyday.

I bought the keyboard because I wanted to have a wireless keyboard to control my computer that I have connected to my HD TV. The keybaord connects within a few seconds of me turning it on and it never loses its connection. I like that It goes into a sleep mode if I let it sit for a few minutes to save its battery, and it wakes back up when I start typing again. It also does very well on power, I got the keyboard 6 months ago and the battery is still going strong. I was very happy to see that it connects to my windows pc as well as my ipod touch.

I would recomend this keyboard to anyone who is in the market for one.

however I wouldnt recomend it for gaming because it has trouble transmitting when you hold multiple keys down, the problem goes away for the most part when you use it closer to the computer but that defeats the purpose of it being wireless.
