I love the finger scrolling and don't miss the typical wheel. However, the mouse is to flat. Also, the scrolling is great but moving the mouse where you want on the screen is slow even with the motion set at high compared to aftermarket mouses.

I just have a hard time getting used to it because you have to pick the mouse up and then move some more because it just doesn't move fast enough unless you jerk it.

It needs to be reconfigured.

When I had Snow Leopard OS I loved my Magic Mouse...it worked just fine. But then I upgraded to Lion...and whenever I was on a website, it would occasionally jump from side to side...sometimes disappearing. I went back to to my original corded mouse and what do you know...the jumping and disappearing stopped! I much prefer the simplicity of the Magic Mouse and the scrolling worked great with Snow Leopard...but I just can't tolerate the jumping around and skittishness of sites while using Magic Mouse...I'm ordering a new corded mouse because the scrolling isn't working properly on my old one...

I have quit using this mouse due to the zooms that occur when I am in Second Life.
I disabled as much as I could through the mouse settings, but it seemed like any little touch and I would be zoomed right out of the sim. I am not using the regular apple mouse either since the scroll ball on all of mine have failed. So I am now using a mouse designed for a PC with a non-touch scroll wheel.

I've used this mouse for about two years now, and must say it's OK, but could be better.

The "pro" part is: design (looks cool), connectivity via bluetooth (never had problems with that, though I sometimes had to restart my Mac so it could "see" the mouse), and scrolling (though there's some about this in the "con" part as well).

The "con" part: eats batteries - about 6 per month (when working/designing everyday), scrolling is nice (but for the price - should be more precise), price is high, and it sometimes confuses right/left clicks.

All in all, I've gotten used to it, and I work with it everyday, but improvements need to be made to meet the price vs value requirements.

I received this mouse a long time ago as a gift and never actually used it until last month as preferred the trackpad. When a use the MBP in closed shell mode, the magic mouse is a great alternative although it doesn't track well on my table, i have to place it on a magazine or fabric for it to track properly.

Overall, this mouse has great innovative features such as the gestures that help you navigate through different documents. However the scrolling is not particularly accurate. Try zooming in or out on an Adobe Acrobat document by pressing the alt key and the results are deplorable. But in general I am happy using it, I just wished the scrolling issue is fixed on a future software update.

The mouse feels great in my hand (as others have said). I'm giving it three stars because it doesn't connect very well in Mac OS. It connects perfectly in Windows under bootcamp. I have my macbook closed and connected to an external monitor and keyboard, and I often have to open it up, use the touchpad, and manually connect it. I've replaced batteries, but I still have problems.

The scrolling features are nice, but they sometimes get in the way. For example, if you have a window or spreadsheet that scrolls both down and right, you might get both motions if you only intended to scroll down.

Overall it's a decent mouse, but I've had better luck with my logitech mouse under Mac OS.

The title says it all. My battery last about a week, and I'm using the Apple rechargeable batteries. I've used optical mouses on other laptops that easily last 10x longer than this mouse.

I like it for the most part. It looks gorgeous and works flawlessly with my MacBook Pro.

The fact that it's so good on battery life is amazing, but I've gotten used to the built-in battery paradigm of the iPhone and iPod. What could make this mouse stellar is a built in ion-lithium batter that charges either in a dock or perhaps through a USB, firewire, or even thunderbolt cable. Or maybe one of those wireless charging pads they've created could act as a mousepad to subtly power the mouse?

It's also a horrible mouse for gaming. The movement of the pointer seems awkward. It seems the increased tracking speed option in system preferences just increases the cursor's acceleration, not the base speed, so with small movements of my hand the cursor still moves a lot less than I expect it to. Of course, a lot of this is probably related to the superior experience I've had with my MacBook Pro's trackpad. I bought the mouse originally so I could play Diablo 2 with my friends, and it worked alright, but my old wireless logitech optical mouse gave me more precision and control over the cursor.

When holding a click it feels like I'm dragging the magic mouse (because the whole thing dips a bit) which makes me hand want to apply more pressure to compensate by what my brain is interpreting as increased resistance. And secondary clicking, though not as important on macs, is a big deal in many PC games. The difference between a right and left click in Diablo is a big one.

It's a bit small for my hands. With my fingers arched over the surface and ready to click, my palm floats freely, unsure of where to go.
