    Awful

THIS BARELY EVEN COUNTS AS A MOUSE. MORE "INGENIUS DESIGN" FROM APPLE.

    F/10

    WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

    Best mouse I've ever used

    • Written by from BOZEMAN

This mouse is great. The multitouch works well, it is easy to use and the battery life is great. I've seen reviews saying that they were replacing the batteries every week, but I've had mine for about three years and I've probably replaced the batteries about 5 times max

    Great Mouse

    • Written by from Vancouver

This mouse is great. it is very easy to use and although some people have written reviews saying otherwise, i think it is very comfortable for your wrist because it is not as high as some other devices. it moves around smoothly, and works even on a white counter top. i would say that the only problem with it, especially when you first get one is that it is sometimes hard to click it to do what you want, like if you are trying to left click, sometimes it right clicks instead, but that was only happening to me for the first little while. overall i would say that this is a very good mouse and i would definitely recommend it.

Probably the coolest mouse I've ever had, but not good for gaming.

    • Written by from Clarence Center

I bought one with my first Mac last year, a 13" retina pro, and I have to say it's amazing. It's got a sleek, yet basic design and it doesn't drain batteries like most computer mice I've used. I also love how it's all one button and a touch pad. The only complaint I have is it's not the best for gaming. Sometimes it thinks I scrolled or I right-clicked and it detected it as a left-click. I also love how it has gestures almost like the Mac trackpad.

This is a review after having the product for about 2 years:
Battery: I think it lasts pretty long. No problems with it
Shape: I find it fine. Ppl complain that it is not made for big hands, but im 6'2'' and it fits fine
Connection: very few times have I lost connection when I was using it. Sometimes when I first turn on my computer (Macbook Pro) it takes a minute or two to recognize the mouse, but usually this is not a problem.
Price: It's a little pricy, but you get what you pay for. I haven't had any problems with it

Conclusion: If you do not like using the trackpad or have to move your curser a lot, I would definitely recommend this product.

    Pricey but good product

    • Written by from cold lake

I reluctantly bought the magic mouse for 2 reason. First all the bad reviews and second the price. I've been using the mouse for the last two weeks and so far I'm well pleased with it. I use it on my macbook air and it works great. The only down fall is the price.
I had to try a couple times for my mac to connect to it properly but once it recognized the mouse I haven't had a problem since.

In short if you're an Apple junky such as myself and don't mind shelling out the $$$ for a mouse do it!!!

Drops connection all the time - poor product

    • Written by from Henlow

My first Magic Mouse was useful for about 3 weeks then it started dropping connection. I got a replacement mouse today - it is doing the same thing, only stays connected for 5 - 10 seconds. Very frustrating!

Great mouse, but it is small

    • Written by from Rochester

I have relatevely long fingers and big hand, it is great mouse but they should make it a bit bigger in size and more high to fill your palm. it is so slim and tiny for me. I am back to work on my tacking pad. Apple, you should produce a bigger version.

    NOT recommended

    • Written by from Chandler

The Good: very nice design by Apple, Touch surface works, quite dirt resistant.

The Bad: takes ages to connect/pair (tested on a 2012 rMBP and a 2010 Mac Pro), and once connected drops connection frequently, even on full batteries (extremely annoying!!!); won't connect at all if multiple Macs have Bluetooth turned on; is a battery waster - especially rechargeable batteries will die quickly.

Big hand - no way to run.

    • Written by from Minsk

My hand is not so small and thus this mouse (that flat as xxxx) is not for me at all.
P.S. And drivers.. - turtle speed without extra "Magic Mouse" software initially?! Are you kidding us?

    Batteries don't last

    • Written by from Newburgh

I've had this mouse and computer for 4 months. Today I again needed to replace the battery. I've gone through 3 sets of batteries in 4 months. I don't use this for work as I'm retired. I give up. Back to corded mouse for me.

    Best Apple Mouse Yet

    • Written by from Plymouth

I love this mouse! I have been looking for a mouse that is big enough and comfortable for me since most wireless mice are small and I have pretty big hands. I am also a graphic designer and this mouse works perfectly for me I have had no problems making anything with it.

Do not buy the apple mouse

    • Written by from Vancouver

My parents bought me an apple computer with a wireless mouse.
    The computer is outstanding.
The mouse is useless. It goes threw batteries like crazy.
It is also very badly designed it is very uncomfortable for my hand when I use it.

    incredible!

    • Written by from petitcodiac

I was fortunate enough to have an awesome man at Jump+ demonstrate the majority of the gestures this mouse is capable of. it is so easy to use, and I can honestly say it is the best mouse I've used. I also love that it is not too chunky of a mouse, and the battery seems to keep for quite some time ( if you remember to turn it off, of course!) Very impressed, would recommend.

    Watch out for the ergonomics

    • Written by from Lilburn

At first I really liked this mouse, but eventually I found I needed to hold/move the mouse with a great deal of space under my hand unsupported. The tingling in my fingers told me to switch to something a bit more ergonomic.

Feels as good as it looks!

    • Written by from New Canaan

I LOVE this mouse! It feels so good, and it moves around so freely. I got the mouse with my 2013 retina mbp, and I have never regretted that buy. (Actually I got it for free, due to the black friday deal.) Also, the touch controls are amazing, and flawless. This is one of the better Apple purchases I've made, and I reccomend this mouse to people who are looking for a good, effecient mouse.

    They finally nailed it!

    • Written by from San Francisco

I have used every Apple mouse over the past 15 years, and plenty of 3rd party mice from Logitech, Microsoft, and others. I'm happy to say that with the new Magic Mouse they have finally struck the balance between comfort, usability, and beauty. I don't use a mouse pad, and the Magic Mouse tracks quickly and precisely sitting on my desk directly. The low-profile form makes it very comfortable to use, as I am able to keep my hand in a natural position with the base of my hand resting on the desk.

The scrolling is incredibly smooth, left and right clicks work great, and the gestures for forward and back pages make it a real pleasure to use. It takes a little getting used to coming from a different mouse, but it soon became extremely natural, whether I'm surfing web pages or even precision editing with Photoshop.

The clean and modern "buttonless" design is elegant and unassuming, even changing the batteries is frictionless.

    Excellent despite many dubious reviews

    • Written by from Bentonville

I spent the better part of an afternoon browsing reviews on this mouse, and saw many complaining of the mouse being unusable or uncomfortable. I finally went to Best Buy and picked one up, and I have to say, I absolutely love it. In fact, I'm typing this on the wireless keyboard I was researching as well. I'm very impressed with both devices and I highly encourage those on the fence about it to go and try one at Best Buy or an Apple store, you won't be disappointed!

P.S. the right click works perfectly for me! I was worried about Apple for a minute reading these reviews, but they clearly have hit it out of the park again, very intuitive device!

Think I'm going to return it

    • Written by from San Antonio

Bought this "magic mouse" yesterday. I don't see our feel the magic. I'm 5'6" and my hands are of average size but I find this mouse still too small for my hands. I also like the option of a clicker scroll, either this doesn't have click as an option or I haven't located it yet. To compensate for the absence of the clicker I've adjusted the sensitivity to minimal as any unavoidable contact with the surface of the mouse causes the cursor to move. In support of this mouse it does have a lot of other swipe between pages and stroll functionality but I find that useless if the cursor doesn't stay where you need it. I'm going to give it another day or two but my initial evaluation is that it's not for me.
