I love everything about this mouse except that the drivers need to be re-written so that those of us who choose more sensitivity can have it. I have to drag the mouse all over the desktop which is ridiculous. Hardware-wise it's a 5 star. Drivers (which affects the entire experience) 2 stars. Apple.....Please fix this ASAP.

Brilliant mouse, the scrolling without a ball / wheel that clogs with dirt is fantastic. However it would be better if, like a Wacom tablet, you could change its functionality for different applications. Using InDesign my open document flips all over the place (especially horizontally). If only I could turn off horizontal scrolling in this Application...

So, I bought the Magic Mouse with the expectation that it would make gaming on my Mac a little easier to control (especially with RTS games).

What I ended up experience was a decently controllable experience, but with strange quirks. I'm currently using the Magic Mouse on a mousepad, to which it doesn't slide as well as I'd like it too. I figured I would try it without a mousepad to see if it would improve performance at all...it didn't.

It seems this product is stuck between whether it wants a mousepad or not...and it takes some getting used to from the motion-tracking, gesture-sensitive trackpad on my Macbook Pro.

I would recommend this product for people with an aversion to the trackpad provided with their Mac, but otherwise...not worth the money.

Like all things Apple, this mouse is aesthetically pleasing. I particularly like scrolling with this mouse. The lack of side buttons is a shortcoming.

Love it hate it, one thing you cannot deny is that this thing EATS BATTERIES. Batteries last 2-3 months. Inconvenient, and an ecological problem.

Beautiful to look at of course, and the swipe-to-scroll functionality is really great when browsing the web.

Unfortunately, having a touch sensitive surface makes it very hard to use the mouse when in Photoshop, Illustrator and even Excel spreadsheets. I keep accidentally swiping/scrolling left, right, up, down and get completely lost. This makes it really annoying to use when using power-tools where accidental scrolling can lead to chaos!

I love this low-profile mouse. It's great for play, but not for design work. In page layout programs, the slightest touch to the mouse causes the document to fly uncontrollably from left to right and back again. Frustrating to say the least. Although the problem can be controlled through preferences, it's not a great solution for multi-taskers. A third party preference app is available to address the problem is not use friendly. Guess I have to plug in my wired mouse to work in InDesign. Apple, please address this.

If you are looking for a mouse to work with music programs like Logic, Protools and the many others out there then this will work for you. This is the only reason I bought this mouse. The benefit of this is the scrolling feature and works well if you have a large area to cover from left to right or you have 2 or more monitors. The movement is a little slow and seems to stick or lag when using it for normal use. The one finger up/down scrolling is a little sensitive so it will take some getting use to. I gave it 3 because I don't think it was tested fully unless it's just an Intel Mac issue but I'm sure if an update comes out for this mouse these minor issues will be addressed and this mouse will be more than worth it.

this is a cool mouse until you have to use it for a long time i find my hand cramping from arching my fingers to keep from scrolling

Yeah, it is like using my iphone. I had a mighty mouse and the scroll button went out so you’ll never need to replace another mouse. Wish the tracking wasn’t so limited, though. Tried adjusting it in preferences but it needs an update. Other than that it is just like the name implies M-A-G-I-C!

I am really impressed with the fluidity of the mouse and think that it was a good idea to implement touch sensitivity into a mouse. It feels natural for me since i'm used to using my iPhone or iPod touch. I am very disappointed that the implementation of Exposé did not make it into this mouse itself though. i'm so used to using the trackpad on my Macbook it is strange not being able to do a gesture on the mouse to view all my windows or just the desktop. there are programs that allow you to change this and enable Exposé somehow but i have not tried this. I believe that it should come standard. I wish i had gotten a Mighty Mouse.
