I bought my mouse one year ago and I still have problems using it.
It's too much slow.
Configuration at all (Ex: sensitivity) is terrible.
You can buy better mouses with half money that I spent on mine.

OK, so it's pretty cool. But how about 2 serious deficiencies.

1 - There are virtually no functional options for the L&R clicks. Come on! Couldn't you let the user do something else besides a left and right click, and the option of switching sides.

How about letting the right click do a double click, or something that's also useful. I can always control left click to get the contextual menus, something I don't do very often.

Let me do something more productive with the right click. Or don't you think Apple users are smart enough to make these decisions for themselves?

2 - I have a weak arch in my right hand. Too many years with a regular mouse I could rest my palm on. (I can't play the piano either.) Well when my palm makes contact with the back half of the shell, it makes the Magic mouse go bonkers. When I want to scroll or something else, it thinks I'm touching the rear of the shell on purpose and bounces things around like a superball. I can't believe I'm the only one experiencing this problem.

Let me restrict how far back on the mouse it senses a touch. If I could somehow restrict this area, I'd be happy one happy Apple devotee. (Been around since the Apple IIe days.)

Give me a little love and I'll raise my rating to 4 or better immediately.

Otherwise, it stays at one measly star for deficiencies and arrogance.

Yes, it's cool, but not enough thought went into the practical side of this device. Let real people test these products, not just the techorati.

I really dislike the "magic mouse," as it's been nothing but trouble since I got my iMac back in January 2011. The crux of the problem is that there are some kind of sensors on the mouse which frequently malfunction. For example, I will be on one webpage and suddenly, the previous web page will pop up. Not a big problem you think. What about when you've just finished your daily blog, and you're going to post with the mouse, and this happens. Then, it's not such a small thing. And, there is no going back to what was being written on the previous page. Somehow (?) that page no longer exists. In fact, I will be surprised if I can really post this review given the plethora of problems I've had with this particular mouse. Another major problem I have is with Google maps and Mapquest. I am a geography buff, and there is absolutely no rhyme or reason when my hand is on the mouse if the map will enlarge or move as directed. I've tried placing my hand on different places on the mouse, but that experiment was fruitless. There is no logic to my seemingly illogical mouse. Maybe the problem is with this particular mouse, but suffice to say, I will never buy another "magic mouse."

Yes it is nice design and "Magical" with swipes and scrolling etc etc. But thats it. what else can you do. My 2 year old mouse has additional buttons for expose, scroll wheel and middle button press for more options.

Also, because the surface is touch sensitive I always have problem with accidental scrolling when you don't want to. Then you have to keep your fingers raised which makes your wrist to be in a awkward position.

I would not recommend this mouse. Looks nice but terrible.

As a solution Apple makes you buy rechargeable batteries. Where there should have been a rechargeable lithium-ion battery implemented into the mouses design from the start. I've had mine for about a year now and I think the earth has become warmer by a few degrees from all of the batteries used up globally by this horrible mouse design. Hope they'll fix it soon. DON'T GET IT! There really is nothing special about this product. The swipe features are not that amazing nor will they improve your work speed when working on projects. It's also annoying in Adobe Suite products. Completely incongruent with the way the zoom and pan features work (along with keyboard shortcuts). I have gone back to the previous Apple mouse. Also, really annoying in Google Maps.

mighty mouse comforter than magic mouse I will return to old one, and the multitouch some time does not work correctly.
Please Apple Make new generation of apple mouse!!!!!!!!!!

This product is a joke! It needs batteries constantly!!! Using rechargeable batteries will last max 3 weeks. What a waste on the environment!!! Where are the recycle battery boxes at the Mac stores????

Product with a lot of potential, but not at all a value for the money. Very disappointing. Overly delicate product cannot take heavy use, multiple lost connections (stopped warning when the battery was becoming low and just dies unexpectedly). Not buying one again.

After 1 day of using it, I found it useless. My MBP track pad is better. It doesn't work on Windows 7 bootcamp.

After many hours of using it, your hand will reject it. Apple should design a better mouse for those who use it almost every day.
