I like the iMac but hate this mouse because it takes way too much hand motion to move the cursor across the 27 inch monitor. I like the scrolling feature though. Maybe something could be done to speed it up if the user preferred a faster mouse. With my previous mouse I could move the cursor anywhere on a 24 inch monitor without moving the heel of my hand.

I got this as a gift...and I hate it. The mouse is NOT an ergonomic fit to my hand. You have to move the mouse farther to move the pointer up and down (not customizable in my MacBook), the sound it makes as you move the mouse grates on me, I have to move my hand off the mouse to move forward and back on web pages and trying to scroll up and down a page with one finger is difficult as the mouse slides on a semi-smooth surface. Giving this to my daughter who is in love with this monstrosity and going back to my Microsoft Wireless Mobile two button mouse.

Whomever designed this should be fired. NO STARS if that was a choice!

This product should have never been sold, much less packaged with an Apple computer. The main "finger scrolling" feature is a complete nightmare, since it seems to always causes the mouse cursor to fly off in action with ANY inadvertent move (which seems to be any time you touch the mouse). Totally unusable with most drawing programs (the action of the mouse causes the continual enlarge/shrink function to activate). A total nightmare to use with Windows too - jerks all over the place.

All you can do is turn off the scrolling - then you don't have a basic scroll wheel. Form over function - Shame on you Apple for this piece of junk.

(and I have used these with 2 mac pros and a macbook pro laptop. I replaced it with a $10 corded mouse to gain function). Garbage

My opinion of this mouse is that it is not useful when getting a brand new computer and is difficult to find the buttons and has a poor tracking system. It has very poor ability when it comes to playing games. I say it needs improvement to say the least. please improve it.

For some reason, the middle mouse button doesn't work in the MAYA. As lots of people know, middle mouse button is huge important in the Maya program. This is the first time I disappointed about Apple!

I just got Apple's Magic Mouse on Thursday night. I'm a woman with smallish hands, and the first thing I noticed was the awkward feel of the edges of the mouse under my palm. They're not rounded well, and they're not user-friendly to try and get a grip on. The first thing a mouse has to have is good ergonomics, well, after basic click and move functionality. The design on this is very pretty, but it's too low and long to fit my hand comfortably. The scrolling ability that is built into the surface is revolutionary for a mouse, but painful to try to execute on a small curved surface. After just a half hour of use, I felt my wrist aching and numbness in my fingers. It's a gorgeous piece of plastic, but ergonomics sometimes aren't pretty. Back to Apple it goes, 10% restocking fee and all. Sorry, Steve! (I ended up with a Logitech mouse from Best Buy who had a ton of cordless mice to try out in their display aisle. And it was about thirty bucks cheaper.)

problems using magic mouse with some programs.

this mouse is horrible the back doesn't stay shut. and the internet back and forward buttons are two sensitive!!

If you live near and Apple store it might be worth your while to give it a test drive. I was seriously considering this mouse so I went to my local Apple dealer and spent 30 minutes with the mouse. That was enough to convince me I didn't want it. I may be beautiful to look at, but ergonomically it is not comfortable to use. In particular I couldn't get used to the sharp edges. I have an Iogear bluetooth mouse that works just as well and is much more comfortable.

My guess is that Apple will eventually come out with a redesign. I'll wait till they do.

This mouse came with my new IMac - love the IMac hate the mouse - worse piece of junk i ever used - batter last maybe two weeks with constant use - use about 9 hours a day 5 days a week. the right click is junk - it keeps getting right and left click confused. the magic scroll is hard to use if u touch it with any finger by mistake it move the mouse all over the place - I smashed this thing with a hammer and bought a Microsoft mouse - Yes i said it a Microsoft mouse is 1000 time better than this piece of junk. only gave one star cause it won't let u give zero.
